This November/December retail sales will hit all records with USA citizens flocking to buy upfront before prices escalate in January. After all, Christmas spending is a must as well, and the economy will be reported to be robust and setting all records. Trump is going to harvest all the credit for sure.
There are reports that USA citizens are even maxing out their credit card spending, which means more debts are being accumulated. I read with amusement, understanding wrongly or not, that the USA can just cancel its debts to others, as someone really gloated. How is that possible? Are USA citizens also thinking that all their debts can be cancelled as well when the shit hits the fan - home mortgages, car loans, education loans, credit card debts. 'Exceptionalism' must have gone to their heads as well.

Trump now wants the EU to buy more USA oil and gas or face tariffs. This is adding insult to injury for the EU. I have been saying that destroying the Nord Stream pipelines was all about the USA eyeing the energy trade that had been monopolized by the Russians. Now, this is proving to be exactly what I had been saying.
ReplyDeleteAfter destroying manufacturing in the EU, particularly in Germany, what is the purpose of forcing Germany to buy more oil and gas from the USA when its industries are already shifting out to the USA and China? The stupid Europeans have themselves to blame for their predicament. But it is too late as all the sacrifice had been in vain for Germany and the rest of Europe. They are already paying an arm and a leg for USA energy and USA greed really knows no bounds.
Germany is already in deep trouble, with its biggest GDP contributor, the vehicle sector facing mounting losses trying to compete with China. After destroying the German economy, Olaf Scholz is running away from reality. He will go down in German history as the one that destroyed Germanys manufacturing and sacrificing the country for the sake of the USA's interest.
