It has been reported that the USA is conducting a regime
change in Cambodia. Laos will be on their radar with Myanmar a works in
progress. These are countries having good and close relations with
Beijing.
What the USA failed to accomplish in Hong Kong, they
are now looking at ASEAN countries to destabilize to further its
interest. Thailand too has its fair share of instigations, using the CIA
and USA supported NGOs to create instability. The Thai Military and the
Thai Monarchy had been able, so far, to deter unrest. What will happen
with the new Government is still not known and to whose interest it is
migrating towards is not clear.
The USA is targeting a couple of
countries in ASEAN, particularly Indonesia. When persuasion fails as in
Vietnam, covet action takes over.
By the way, the Philippines
is reported to be willing to throw Duterte under the bus, to cater to
the demands of the USA. The Government is said to be willing to allow
Duterte to be extradited to be punished for his actions against the drug
lords in the Philippines while he was in power. That shows how much
control the USA had over Mickey Marcos. Supporters of Duterte must do
another people's power to make things right. Getting rid of drugs in the
Philippines ought to be a good thing rather than being seen as a crime
against humanity. It just boggles the mind!
Now that ASEAN had
expressed its desirability to have China in the region more than the
USA, the splitting up of ASEAN is a priority for the USA and ASEAN
leaders must be able to see what is coming. ASEAN will be ruined like
Europe if the USA succeeds in breaking up the grouping and turning ASEAN
against China. China is still an important trade partner for all ASEAN
countries. It is up to ASEAN leaders to measure carefully what is in it
for them with the USA dictating the direction.

ASEAN's reported choice of China as the power to lean to in the region is making the USA paranoid. The USA had been the choice of ASEAN as the force to lean to in the past, and this change of direction is going to make the USA more determined to undermine ASEAN.
ReplyDeleteThe Philippines is the USA's launching pad for ASEAN disintegration, while sparing no effort to destabilize Myanmar, Cambodia and Laos for being closer to Beijing than the rest of ASEAN. Thailand and Vietnam are not as close to China, but mainly in trade, which is important for their economy. They are not a priority for a regime change as yet.
Indonesia had all along been pursuing a non-aligned policy with regard to relations with the USA and China, which the USA is trying hard to influence the new Government. How that new Government under Prabowo is going to respond will determine what the USA will do to determine his direction.
Malaysia has taken its stand, with its stance on Gaza a clear indication of its direction towards the West. You can be sure that the USA and the West will not take this lying down and instigation on the ground by the CIA and USA supported NGOs will be working harder to make life uneasy for Anwar.
As I said before, the USA does not like strong leaders making regime changes difficult like in Myanmar, Thailand and now Malaysia. But they will keep chipping away, even for decades like in Russia and Hong Kong. After all, money is not problem for the USA. Just print will solve all the funding issues. How great to be given the privilege of doing that!
Trump missed the opportunity to be on the good books of Prabowo. The poor bugger travelled all the way to Washington hoping to shake his hand, but Trump did not see it as important. It is not only a slap on the face of Prabowo, it is also a slap to the 600m Indonesians.
ReplyDeleteTrump forgot that Indonesia is the big brother and de facto leader of Asean. Prabowo would be comparing his warm reception by Xi and cold shoulder by Trump.
It is amazing that the Anglo-Saxon White clique can criticize others thinking they are angels but never care to look at themselves in the mirror.
ReplyDeleteAnything about the Chinese CCP is touted as cruel, wicked and against human rights. They never look at the positive aspect of what the CCP did to China, lifting hundreds of millions out of poverty, making life better for the Chinese population. Look at the Chinese today, enjoying living conditions that are far better than most USA citizens (except the top 10%) with the lowest living from paycheck to paycheck and unable to afford a place to stay, just pitching tents along the streets.
Should we therefore ask what choosing a democratic system is all about? Isn't providing better living environment for citizens what they are voting for, and forms a part of human rights that they deserve? What about affordable healthcare that is beyond the reach of those without health insurance? From one administration to the next, they keep talking about overhauling this and that to no effect. They just change the name of the system with no improvement of any kind. In fact, some say it goes from bad to worse.
