Luring manufacturing back to the USA is one thing.
Having a market for the products is another. Make American Great Again
is just an empty promise that can never be fulfilled. The horses have
bolted and closing the stable doors is an exercise in futility.
Trump
can rock, rattle and roll to rouse his supporters, but he knows four
more years is all he cares about. What he says in campaigning mean
little. Didn't he say lots of rubbish during COVID? He suggested
drinking horse dewormer, injecting insecticides and lots of sunshine to
fight COVID? And not to forget his famous suggestion of nuking a
hurricane of all things. A person leading the superpower of the world
saying and doing all that is unthinkable.
Give Trump four more
years and four more years after that even in perpetuity, if possible,
and he will still be chanting 'Make America Great Again'. Just enjoy the
circus.

Trump's battle cry is still 'Make America Great Again'.
Four years of his Presidency followed by four years of Biden's
Presidency: the USA does not look any greater than the empty rhetoric
that was supposed to rally the country. What is even worse is needing
trade wars and tariffs to prevent other countries from becoming greater,
so that USA can have a semblance of being great again. Who is fooling
whom?
The economy is in ICU. Money printing is so hot it is
burning up the printing presses/machines and the only sign of its effect
is the daily record-breaking run on Wall Street. It does not trickle
down to real job creation, does not help to prevent businesses biting
the dust, does not prevent retail sectors shuttering and inflation again
rearing its ugly head. Inflation does something unique though. It
inflated the sales figures, but not the underlying sales volume.
Trump gloated about draining the swamp during his first term, but instead replenished it with even more grotesque creatures like John Bolton and Mike Pompeo. His Vice President running mate, Mike Pence, even tried to do him in. He restocked the swamp with more traitorous creatures that even tried to incriminate him. His whole four years first term was all about changing the elements in the swamp, just like changing his underpants. What a complete joke!
ReplyDeleteNow, he is again making the same awful mistake of choosing more grotesque garbage to run the administration in his second term to 'Make America Grief Again'. Or should I say to make him grief again. Trump can make all the promises whether or not he will not carry out, as four more years is all the gets.
Let us see how he is going to end the Ukraine War in 24 hours, which I see is just a bluff. Let us see how his tariffs will cripple China. Let us see how 'Made in USA' is going to compete with China globally.
Remember his remarks that 'Trade Wars are easy to win'? If the USA is winning the trade war, why is there a need to continue to rein in China after his first four years in office and another four more years of Biden? Isn't it true that winners do not have to continue reining in losers, or is the truth too difficult to understand under the USA's 'Rules Based Order'?
Four more years is not going to change anything. The only change coming will be USA citizens having to pay a high price for goods, whether made at home or made in China. What else does the USA make today besides weapons of destruction? Even the USA flag is made in China, said one commentator.
ReplyDeleteInstead of focusing on moving forward, the USA, running a race against China, is intent on trying desperately to pull China back by hook or by crook. This is not the way for a country to move forward, being supposedly a leader that the world is looking up to. How many countries will be thinking whether they will be next.
After pulling back Germany and Japan, the USA thinks the same modus operandi will work as well against China. And after China, who else is the USA going to pull back? India? India's century is next and will face the same tactical challenge from the USA. No doubt about that.
After eight long years since 2016, shouting 'Make America Great Again', makes the mantra sounding like a broken record. Countries do not become great by pulling others down. Countries become great by moving forward and facing challenges on a level playing field.
