The best monument to remember LKY is Singapore

The Founder's Memorial will be up in 2028 to honour the founding leaders of Singapore. It would not just be LKY's Memorial or monument. With our shallow historical background, not much was written or nothing really happened in the past that could be used as a flaming torch to benchmark Singapore, unless some people want to honour the robbers and invaders, ie the colonialists, that robbed this land for free from the people of the island and think it was a honourable thing to be raised on a high pedestal, the more substantial history of Singapore was the fight for independence and making of modern Singapore. Before this, it was not a very eventful place except as a natural makeshift trading destination.

So the Memorial will be the next tourist attraction come 2028. The founding leaders would all be recognised and honoured. Would the independence fighters be honoured as well, for fighting the British and the Japanese for independence, a prelude to an independent Singapore? Would their roles be considered important enough to be mentioned and the individuals recognised as well? Or the Founder's Memorial time line is 1963 or 1965?

As for LKY, the best monument to remember him is Singapore. It is often heard in conversation to refer the island state as Lee Kuan Yew's Singapore. It is still a shining success as a nation state, Lee Kuan Yew's Singapore. Would there be a day when historians or the future generations would be comparing Lee Kuan Yew's Singapore and the Singapore after him? Would the future Singapore be better and more prosperous and distinguished as a success story than the Lee Kuan Yew's Singapore?

  1. Good morning All

The Papies are pouring millions of dollars in building up the Founders Memorial.

Frankly LKY said its all nonsense.

There is no need to idolise any human souls or beings as they also had their evil sides and it may become a cult.

The Papies needed to brainwash the Daft Sinkies forever to beholden to them.

So the only way to keep reminding all to look into the Founders Memorial and be grateful ah!

Now that LWL had passed on and the issue of the demolition of 38 Oxley Road shall arise again.

This time round think it shall be demolished as planned.

No need for it to rally Sinkies anymore as they have a bigger and more grand one in the Memorial Park to remind the Sinkies of the Papies Great Achievements.

Also better to have the history of the Papies in the Memorial Park and Momument as they needed to propgrate to the nearly two millions outsiders and immigrants to pay attention and make sure they be beholden and grateful to the Papies who gave them the pink ICs to override the Daft Sinkies.

Sinkies some are hard headed and are not in.their favours as they knew their bad Odours.

So the easiest is to brainwash the Sin Keks.

  3. Oxley is just a diversion from the huge fortune that the late emperor accumulated. The royal family have properties around the world as well as money that no one dare to report. It is the uneven "will" left behind that they are fighting over, that why they dare not fight over it in the court. Otherwise all skeleton will come out of the cabinet. Only daft sinkies will think it about the old house.

  4. And what can the un-daft sinkies do?

  5. Same as the Is-wa-lan case, daft sinkies think it only involve $400K. If someone have the authority to spend $80million annually on F1, 400k is not even a peanut.

  6. We have honoured some of our Singaporean leaders of the past like Jalan Ahmad Ibrahim , Sheares Bridge and our first president with his image in our currency notes. It is time to erase streets with hated colonialist names like Clementi, Clemenceau, Cavenagh and Elgin Bridge and replace them with the names of our honourable first generation leaders. Replace all the streets and edifice with blemish western names with our former leaders' names like Lee Kuan Yew, Rajaratnam, Pillay, Dhanabalan, Goh Keng Swee, Hon Sui Sien, Toh Chin Chye, Ong Pang Boon and a few more others. That will be more meaningful and honourable to do so. Singapore should get rid of the colonial hang..

  8. Male MPs who never do national service should be ashamed and condemned if they attend ceremonies on the NS Square . . .
