The major areas of blockade that the USA hopes to use in
times of conflict with China is slowly being dismantled by China and
Russia, both of which are setting up new transport lanes to overcome
them.
The Panama Canal is facing a slow death due to climate
change. China is exploring an alternative canal system inside Nicaragua
that will make the Panama Canal suffer a peaceful and natural death.
This is important and detrimental for the movement of USA's military
assets from the Atlantic to the Pacific in times of conflict. The USA
can use the Panama Canal with ease today, which is discreetly under its
control, but not the waterway inside Nicaragua if constructed.
China
is exploring building an alternative to the Suez Canal as well. This is
the other choke point that the USA had in mind to counter China in the
event of hostility. Well, now the Houthis can do much to render the Suez
Canal obsolete in case of conflict. The impact will be mutual for both
the USA and the West as well as China. China meanwhile is looking at
Pakistan and Afghanistan for its oil transportation route from the
Middle East into Western China.
The Straits of Malacca had been
the other choke point that the USA intended to use against China, but
China is planning with Thailand to go around with the Isthmus of Kra
project. Of course, the USA is dead set against that project and
fabricating all sorts of reasons to prevent its construction, just like
the Nord Stream pipelines in Europe.
Let us not also forget that
Russia and China are also looking seriously at the Artic route to
Europe that is now more feasible with climate change lending a helping
hand.
Elsewhere like the Bosphorus Straits under USA control,
China is not too worried about being choked, but Russia may be affected
to a degree. There are plans to open up another waterway link bypassing
the Bosphorus Straits, linking the Black Sea and the Sea of Marmara to
be undertaken by Turkey.
Evil intentions and evil thoughts are now rendered impotent.

It is reported that Mexico is considering an alternative to the Panama Canal as well. This is a gold mine that others are looking to take advantage of with the demise of the Panama Canal, said to be in its last throes due to climate change.
ReplyDeleteOf course, they are trying to find solutions to the predicament, but once Nicaragua or Mexico gets into the competition, it is all over for the Panama Canal and transit between the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans are out of USA control.
We all know that new projects have all the built in obsolescence prevention measures built in as far as possible, and learning from experience what to avoid like the effects of climate change.
Nicaragua and Mexico's building of an alternative to the Panama Canal will elicit fierce opposition and threat from the USA for sure. There will be all the hubris about environmental issues and even NGOs working the ground drumming up opposition over the projects and even sabotage. The USA wants total control of all the choke points and any project countering that is against their interest. We all already know that the USA is openly hostile to the Isthmus of Kra project, once news of its intended revival is revealed. That basically is competing with its Straits of Malacca choke point control.
