The USA is always threatening those when it sees them as
basically weak opponents. That was how they went into Vietnam, thinking
the North Vietnamese were just easy meat. At one stage the USA had half
a million troops fighting in Vietnam, on top of support from allies
like South Korea, said to be the biggest force helping the USA, with
about 300,000 rotating troops fighting in the Vietnam War. Getting
entangled, they eventually found themselves fighting a war that they
cannot win against the North and fled with tails between their legs.
The
USA also went into Afghanistan, thinking it was a piece of cake with
the Taliban farmers just using obsolete small arms compared to their big
guns. They calculated wrongly and after 20 years of wasted effort, also
fled with tails between their legs.
These are lessons that
smaller and weaker countries have taught the USA that not all small
countries are necessarily weak. The USA may have the same confidence
trying to destroy Iran. They better believe than Iran is not that easy
to destroy. History will bear testament to that. They Iranians are as
tenacious as the Vietcong and the Taliban, and we know their history
well enough. Iran has been reported to have tested a nuclear device
recently and this is enough to tell the USA and Israel that there are
unknown unknowns that may yet surprise them.

Blinken is on a mission to the Middle East, visiting Israel and other Arab and Muslim countries surrounding Israel. He is on a 'peace mission', if you believe the propaganda, while sending more weapons to Israel. If the Arabs and Muslims are blind, they really deserve to be annihilated.
ReplyDeletePalestine, Lebanon and Iran are not blind to what the USA is doing, a double headed snake trying to tell the other Arabs and Muslims to just let the Israelis rule over and threaten them.
The Houthis are not going to fall for the trap after being targeted by the USA and fighting a war against a USA supported Saudi Arabia in the past. The Iraqis are not going to forget what the USA did to the country and stealing their oil and plunging the country into chaos to this day. Syria is not going to forget what the USA tried to do earlier to instigate a regime change against Bashar al-Assad.
The Saudis are reported to be now having second thoughts with its BRICS membership now. There can only be one reason why Mohammad bin Salman is backtracking and changing course in midstream about BRICS. The Saudi Royals have massive investments in the USA and Europe and are held hostage by the West. The Saudi Royal Family is therefore under pressure and MBS is also under pressure dealing with them. Blinken is going to put pressure on the Saudis, probably the only party that will listen to him today plus lapdog Jordan.
In Afghanistan, the USA was fighting just the Taliban farmers, without much support from outside. Yet the USA could not overcome the Taliban. The USA is only good for fighting a short war, not long wars like in Ukraine or even in the Middle East if it gets involved.
ReplyDeleteRussia and China are well adapted to fighting long wars of attrition. Russia, or its forerunner, the Soviet Union showed that against Hitler and Napolean. Even Trump knows that Russia is a war machine, and he warned Zelenskyy about that. China had fought long civil wars itself and also the wars in participated in in Korea and Vietnam (2 wars).
The USA cannot stand for long wars as shown in Vietnam and Afghanistan, no matter how much military capability it can muster and whatever allies it can garner to help.
