What will happen to Europe when it is hollowed out by the Americans?

Politicians in NATO do not care if the EU goes back to 'babysitting' after being hollowed out by de-industrialization after sanctioning Russia and decoupling from China. Who else is going to trade with or invest in the EU? Oh yes, there is still the UK, right? They can continue to slide down the slope clutching each other tightly together.

NATO can continue to threaten China with seizure of Chinese assets in Europe, but at what price? What Russia did against Western companies is already apparent, using the tit for tat method. Compared to Western assets in Russia, it is no exaggeration that USA and EU assets in China probably runs into trillions, which can also be collateral damage material. China already passed a law to enable seizure of foreign assets under a tit for tat move. But, of course, USA and EU leaders care two hoots about private assets seized by the Chinese. To them that is just collateral damage.

Russia and China can always trade with each other and there are the other countries in the Global South willing to engage in trade with China. Who does not want cheaper products instead of paying an arm and a leg for expensive toys from the USA and EU? Would Global South consumers be willing to pay three times the price of an EV made in USA or EU compared to China? Common sense will tell us who they will choose.

  1. What will happen is already happening, with industries and businesses moving out to cheaper sources of energy like USA, China and India. The stupid Europeans are just taking aim at China alone, keeping the USA and India out of their fabricated narratives.

India is buying more energy from Russia than China, and yet the whole issue of who is supporting the Russian war machine falls solely on China. All the reasoning put up by the morons in Brussels are just as believable as everyone's grandmother stories or fairy tales by Hans Christian Anderson. By the way Hans Christian Anderson was a Danish writer. Inventing fairy tales runs in European blood.

China's subsidies for its industries falls far short and pale in comparison to what the USA had trotted out to its own domestic and other foreign chip makers to lure them to the USA. But the Europeans chose to ignore all that and keeps hyping up the subsidies by the Chinese Government for its Chinese manufacturing.

In any case, since the EU wants an economic war, China has no way to avoid but to retaliate likewise. The EU cannot go on without the Chinese market, while China can do without the EU market. Sure, there will be impact on both sides, but China has the Global South to push forward, and China knows it can compete hands down with the EU on all products, from EVs, solar panels, wind turbines and other consumer requirements. And China has the BRICS countries to bet on, which is not open to the EU countries. Who is going to win needs no thinking.

  2. Europe is heading towards another dark age and will become insignificant. With Africa, South America and Central Asia opting for progress, the Europeans are courting disaster with economic war and decoupling from China and Russia.

The EU once had pragmatic leaders like Angela Merkel, always charting the course forward for their country. Now Europe is being destroyed by leaders without backbones to stand up for their own interest and just being dictated to by the USA. They are being destroyed economically without even fighting for or looking after their rights. How sad!
