The Pinoys, thinking that the USA is staunchly behind
it, is behaving in a 'boh tua boh soi' manner. It really needs a real
spanking.
While other ASEAN countries are embracing China within
its ranks, the Philippine is being used by the USA to destroy the status
quo. And we know what the real reason is.
But let it be. The
Philippines will soon become the 'Sick Man of ASEAN', a position it once
was in and is going back to, with Japan taking the honor of becoming
the 'Sick Man of Asia'. Of course, Marcos Jr is not too worried about
how far the Philippines will descend into. What he is more worried about
is the ill-gotten wealth accumulated by his father and how to get it
released by the USA. It does not need a smart person to know that is how
the USA has managed to keep him on a leash and follow its dictate, even
blackmailing for more military bases in the Philippines.
Japan
is desperately propping up the Yen, spending almost US$60 billion in
early May to do that. This is to be added to its already astronomical
263% debt to GDP ratio, the highest in the developed world. Japan is
toast, having to stimulate its economy and propping up the Yen. It is a
double whammy, which even the Japanese are clueless in dealing with.
Kishida-omics is just as lame as Abenomics.
Japan already lost
its 3rd position in global GDP ranking just recently to Germany, a
country also going downhill itself. Now the 3rd and 4th richest country
in the world in terms of GDP are fighting a battle to see who goes down
the gutter faster. And who was the mastermind?

And Duterte was considered by the USA as bad for the Philippines because he was advocating chasing the USA military out of the Philippines. A regime change was therefore on the agenda of the USA, and it was only a matter of time.
ReplyDeleteAnd how was that going to play out? Duterte himself was unsure whether he will survive the CIA, knowing he will be targeted for assassination sooner or later if his pro-China policies threatened the USA's military bases in the Philippines.
Just imagine the ICC wanting to issue an arrest warrant against him for fighting drugs in the Philippines. How illogical can some people be thinking that fighting drug lords is a crime. And who do we think are supporting those drug lords and benefitting from it?
The West knew from history that drugging a population will weaken them, which is why opium was forcibly forced upon the Chinese during the Opium War. And the Chinese were indeed weakened and trampled upon by the Eight Nations and suffered its century of humiliation. Duterte could see what the country was turning into if drugs were not eliminated.
Now under Marcos Jr, a lame leader, the USA could just dictate whatever it wants, never mind what is to become for the Philippines. The Philippines will continue to be colonized and be the base for the fragmentation of ASEAN. As it is, the Philiipines with its second biggest population among ASEAN countries is not living up to its promise and lagging behind countries like Indonesia, Thailand and Singapore in GDP, and just a shade better than Vietnam and Malaysia.
