The USA lost EV. The USA lost solar panels. It also lost
wind turbines. These are all related to clean energy usage or sectors
generating clean energy equipment and helps with climate change, which
the whole world is aspiring to attain, with a common goal to save the
earth.
We all know the USA is a big player, has huge reserves in
fossil fuel, which is fighting an existential battle with renewables,
which China is at the forefront. The picture emerging is that renewable
energy dependencies like EVs are overtaking the ICE vehicle sector.
China is phasing out ICE vehicles. What does this mean for major ICE
vehicle manufacturing countries like USA, Europe and Japan? They have to
fight back to survive, but it may be too little too late. Back to the
propaganda generating phase that it is famous for.
Now the USA is
inventing new narratives to fight the clean energy battle, trying to
depress China's lead. China is the top country just doing its job of
helping the world fight climate change. China is now accused of having
overcapacity in clean energy sector as well, producing more solar panels
and wind turbines than any other, and must be depressed for the sake of
allowing the USA, EU and Japan to compete successfully in EVs and other
clean energy generation sector.
Trade has all along been about
economies of scale, comparative advantages that allows countries to
export cheaper goods which it has a comparative advantage and import
cheaper goods that other countries have a different advantage. The whole
world therefore benefits. The USA is trying to destroy all that by
trying to curb China's comparative advantages. As an economist, Yellen
should know better, and as such she is definitely insincere and using
misinformation to deceive.

The air over China is already much cleaner than five years ago. Then China was said to the most polluted country in the world, apparent in its air quality. And this provided the West with all the ammunition to demonise China. China took up the challenge to clean up its pollution image, first by refusing the import and recycling of waste from foreign countries, took steps to minimise sandstorms by reversing desertification and turning deserts into fertile ground for vegetation, support the rise of factories involved in the manufacture of clean energy vehicles or EVs and equipment like wind turbines and solar panels.
ReplyDeleteChina is phasing out ICE vehicles, building more dams harnessing stored energy in water to generate electricity. China is installing wind turbines to harness wind energy to provide electricity for homes and factories. China is turning to solar energy too and all these are slowly taking over from fossil fuel, resources that China does not have much in reserve.
How deep is China's effort in using renewables? Some places in China are already running 'Robocab' or driverless taxis that can take passengers to where they want to go. Some cities in China are practically running on clean energy - homes, offices and factories and all modes of travelling are dependent on electric buses, cars, motorcycles and not to leave out trains.
Which country in the world goes to such an extent to really embrace the fight against climate change on such a scale? Some countries pretend to care so much for climate change but does not walk the talk and only offering lip service. They think it is the responsibility of others, just like it is the responsibility of other countries to produce products for them to freeload in exchange for their toilet papers. They want to protect their fossil fuel extraction and domination and hang on to their ICE vehicle manufacturing facilities which they have set up ages ago. They even tried to demonise EVs, wind turbines and solar panels as evil, all because they have lost the edge in manufacturing them.
About overcapacity, the biggest overcapacity that is a threat to every country of the world must be the 'printing machines' of the USA, churning out toilet papers in exchange for products from the rest of the world. It is basically freeloading by deception. That is where real overcapacity is and is the most damaging thing happening to the rest of the world.
ReplyDeleteThe second overcapacity must be the Military spending of the USA and that is also a threat to every country of the world. It is not for keeping the peace as they claimed. It was created to bully, terrorise, put down those that cannot agree with them. In Iraq and in Libya they succeeded. In Afghanistan they failed, after twenty years trying. Now they dare not try it on Russia, instead using proxies to do the dirty work.
The irony for the world is that it is difficult to get rid of these two evils. The Military is to protect the US$ hegemony. Saddam Hussein and Gaddafi attempted to change the status quo of the US$ hegemony and paid with their lives. The US$ hegemony is to provide the financial support for the Military by just resorting to unlimited printing of toilet papers. They work hand in hand to control the world.
BRICS is targeting the US$ hegemony to bring it down. The rest of the world must give their support at all cost.

Real foolish UAssA laws.
Now you blamed the parents ah?
Imbeciles!
Clean energy + climate change was to stifle third world development.
