North Korea is not a threat to Asean

North Korea is not in words or deeds, posing a threat to ASEAN. It never did, never is and never will. It is only looking after its own survival. If ASEAN leaders believe in the hubris trotted out by the piggy Yoon, ASEAN is sunk. North Korea is posing a threat only to Japan and South Korea, because they are ganging up with the USA and provoking North Korea by holding military exercises at its doorstep, wanting to provoke China.

Japan and South Korea are facing strong economic challenges from China in motor vehicles, electronics and semiconductors. These are their niche and areas that they excel in over the last two decades, and they are facing strong competition from China. The USA is using this to jell the two countries, as always in making hay while the sun shines, to take a militant stance against China.

Predictably, the attempt to counter China with military exercise around the South China Sea is also antagonising North Korea as well. Now every attempt is made to fabricate the narrative that the perpetrators are unjustifiably treated by playing the victim card instead.

Japan is playing the sorrowful victim in its seafood exports and bringing the issue to the WTO, claiming that China has no justification to do what it does by banning Japanese seafood. Who started the cause of the ban by releasing radioactive wastewater into the ocean? Did Japan consult China or its immediate neighbours? It seems only the USA had a big say in all this and it is all that matters to Japan's decision.

  1. It is all a fabricated threat by the USA, with its allies jumping on the bandwagon to support and carry out the USA agenda. Didn't they do the same with Iraq?

Remember Donald Trump warning the world that North Korea is a serious nuclear threat to the rest of the world, and only with its de-nuclearisation could the world be saved? Did the rest of the world, besides the USA, Japan and South Korea, suffered any real and direct North Korean threat after Trump failed in his de-nuclearisation hubris? Who really is the threat to the rest of the world?

One thing we could be certain is that had North Korea de-nuclearised, Kim Jong Un would not be in existence today. That nuclear weapon is his guarantee of survival, nothing more nothing less. It is a minuscule possession compared to the USA, but enough of a deterrent.
