India, ME, EU Corridor aka Biden Modi Mirage

What is China's Belt and Road Initiative (BRI)? - Ujyaalo Nepal

The above are two maps of the BRI and the very earth shaking India, ME, EU Corridor. The Indians and the Americans are using their megaphones to scream to the world that the Biden Modi Mirage is to challenge Xi's BRI. And their gloating all over G20 that this is a game changer and China's BRI is in trouble because of this impressive challenge. Really?

The India, ME, EU Corridor starts from the port of Mumbai, leaps to the port in UAE. From there it cuts across Saudi Arabia to Israel. Then from the Israeli port it leaps to the Greece port Piraeus. And then it joins the BRI's rail link into Europe. What is new?

Lets see what the construction of this Corridor involves. The first leg, Mumbai to UAE port. The two ports are already existing, so is the shipping route. Nothing to build, just a statement of fact. The second leg, from UAE port to Israeli port across the Saudi desert. This is new, to build a high speed train across the desert. Who should build this high speed train track and infrastructure? India, Japan or the USA? The USA would need 30 years to build such a train system. Japan would want the contract but would they do the same as they did in India and Vietnam? Maybe India is a better bet?

The third leg, from Israelis port to Piraeus port is the same as from Mumbai port to UAE port, already existing and nothing to build, only to talk as if it is something new.

The final leg from Piraeus to Europe would be like rejoining China's BRI. Piraeus is a Greek port with China as a majority shareholder. And China has already developed the infrastructure from the port to Europe. So what is there to build?

So, is this Corridor a game changer or  Mirage? What is there to transport from India across the Saudi desert to Europe and vice versa? Indian labourers?

How many countries are involved in this grand scheme of Biden and Modi? How is it to challenge Xi's BRI?

Please understand the limitation of India as it cannot build a road or rail through Pakistan in the West, not through Bangladesh and Myanmar in the East, not to China in the North. India is an island of sort unless it builds bridges over Pakistan, Bangladesh, Myanmar or the Himalayas. Oops, India does not want to go to China. What about a bridge across the sea from Mumbai to UAE with a high speed train travelling on it and then another bridge from the port in Israel to the port of Piraeus? On the other hand China is building trains into Laos, Thailand, Myanmar, Nepal, Central Asia states and Russia, with Vietnam begging China to take over the failed Japanese train project.

Why are most of the Arab countries left out of this Biden Modi Mirage?

PS. To include Saudi Arabia and UAE in this Mirage is American's way to pry Saudi Arabia and UAE away from BRICS.  Another American divide and rule scheme to divide the Arab world. And Modi is an active player in this scheme, to keep Arab and Muslim countries out of BRICS.

  1. The evil plan of the USA and Bharat were to cut Saudi Arabia into 2 half by the railway. The deep state's secrets were revealed by Sleeping Joe and Bharat Molly. If succeeded, one half of Saudi Arabia would change name to USA (United Saudi Arabia) and the other half rename to New Bharat.

  2. Joe Biden just loves to come up with new 'satires' to entertain the weasels, everywhere he goes. And the weasels, with wide innocent open eyes, lap up every word he spouted. You see, Joe Biden really stole the G20 show this time, with Xi and Putin absent. I think the Indians really love it, with 'India' taking centre stage with such an earth shattering project being announced in India. Wonder what other earth shattering announcements Joe Biden will make in Vietnam, but I believe my guess can never be that far off, if confronting China is not at the top of the agenda.

Modi will probably love it even more if Biden names the project 'Modi, ME, EU Corridor'. His turban will swell even larger (to accomodated the swelling head) and the Indian newsites will be doing a song and dance about it. How long is it going take to start this project, and how long it is going to take building it, is not important, since India is a very patient country and can always wait forever, like their high speed rail system project using low speed construction methods, LOL.

While Maui residents are crying for help and telling the world they have to resort to helping themselves, and cannot depend on the USA Government that cares little about their plight, here is Joe Biden talking about a new earth shattering project aka 'India, ME, EU corridor'. It is little to do with benefitting countries involved mind you. That is not the intention. The project's main purpose is to challenge the BRI.

Now, how many projects have Joe Biden announced thus far. There was the US$600 billion Global Infrastructure project announced in June, 2022, also to challenge China. Wonder how that is progressing? There was the US$350 million (shrank from US$350 billion) project for digital transformation of the African continent. Wonder how that is progressing? At US$7.5 million for each African country, what kind of digital transformation does Joe Biden hope to achieve? Think about it rationally. He thinks the Africans are taken in by his 'snake oil' salesmen tactic.

Now, let us not forget about another blockbuster project he fantasised about, of building a railroad across the Pacific Ocean, to link up with another linkage in the Indian Ocean, to India I suppose. That has now been discarded as just a wet dream when Joe Biden nodded off in his chair. Now, this 'India, ME, EU, Corridor' project is another wet dream of Joe Biden. And announcing it at the G20 makes Joe Biden really, really popular. He has regained the leadership role after being blindsided in Jakarta. When one is left as the only competitor in a competition, the winner is obvious. Wonder whether that slight in Indonesia has to do with the USA now targeting Indonesia for a color revolution?

  4. A HSR across SA?
Spain could not build a line from Mecca to Medina.
SA requested for China ' to help.
China completed it at a loss of 4 b.

  5. Just a short take. This 'India, ME, EU Corridor' project, as with others, was plucked from the air by Joe Biden. Building such a project in the air is easy. Where got problem?

The BRI project by China on the other hand was envisaged since 2013 with detail studies carried out to go through countries that have expressed willingness to join.

Just building a stretch of the 'India, ME, EU Corridor' across the Saudi Desert scares the hell out of bidders for the construction. That stretch from Mecca to Medina already found no takers and China undertook and completed it. Even Japan, the former kingpin of HSR construction found it too daunting, with the desert sands a daunting task to tackle. Building a line for the 'India, ME, EU Corridor' cutting across the Arabian desert, a much longer line, sounds like a sick joke conjured up by the USA and India.

  9. China encountered many major problems while constructing the Mecca to Medina HSR line in Saudi Arabia.

First was the unforgiving weather in the desert, with temperatures during the day reaching as high as 55 degrees centigrade, and the heat was intolerable. Second was finding solutions to control the movement of the sand in high winds, which only China could do it. Third was the acute shortage of water in the desert, both for workers and construction use. Fourth was moving all those equipment and materials into and around the desert areas during construction. It took China ten years to finish the project, costing the Saudis US$60 billion.

Do we honestly believe they could find anyone else to build the 'India, ME, EU Corridor' just on this stretch alone? No, no, leave out China without saying.
