11 min clip of the Indian rover landing on the moon. This is India's proudest moment in its space programme. However, some western and American sources have started to question whether India really landed on the moon, resulting in angry response from the patriotic Indians. The Americans are being questioned by many of their Hollywood choreographed moon landing and man on the moon video clips. Many had scrutinised every tiny bit of the images and had found many irregularities, from light sources, communications speed, the infamous footprint, the flying flag etc etc. And today, with all the advances in science and technology, the Americans are unable to send their astronauts to the space station and now doing trial and error to experiment if it is safe for human to transit the Van Allen radiation belt, in a way confirming that they had not done it before. The Americans even have difficulties building a rocket that could send a capsule big enough to carry men to the moon.
Would the Indian moon landing be another Bollywood video to compete with the American's Hollywood video? So far most of the images were computer generated or animation. The only two short clips of a few seconds were that of the rover sliding down the ram of the lander and moving about 15 feet from the lander, and subsequently made a rotation without moving further. Two weeks on the moon and less than 10 secs video clip to show. And the video clips were cut and paste together, a patch up work. Why couldn't the Indians show a more complete clip, with better quality video, after claiming they had the most advanced camera on the lander? Why the camera mounted on the rover could not show anything along its path? Why the short passage of the rover down the lander was cut short with nothing else to show? And India claimed that the distance from the moon made it unable to send signals to the rover to control its movement? Armstrong was able to communicate with Houston and the White House almost instantly in 1969.
The Indians could not produce any real images of the descent of the lander. All they could show was two patch up short clips of a few seconds and keep repeating the clips over and over again. Surely the Indians would want to show more, the grand descent and touch down, a longer and continuous trip by the rover, what the camera of the rover saw and filmed. But none of these. I beg the whole world would be impressed.
India just announced that it is all over after less than two weeks. The rover is going to sleep. It's the end. The world is left asking for more of what the lander and rover seen on the moon. The two short clips did not show anything else but more of the same as the Hollywood clips of the Americans. In fact the American clips were more impressive, taken in the 1960s and 1970s. The quality of the Indian camera is at best basic.
Why are some western media questioning the authenticity of the Indian moon landing? India should prove them wrong by showing more and better video clips of the lander and rover movements to dispel the doubters. The whole world is waiting eagerly for more Indian achievements on the moon with visuals to boot.
But the Indians already claimed the Southern part of the moon, even naming it. If you know Indians, they are good in claiming success and best of the best in everything, even superpower status, despite the fact that the reality does not support it. The Indians already boasting so much about replacing China as the 'Factory of the World' just because Apple and its supply chains are building bases in India. What is happening now? If all the hip hip hooray about the moon landing is false, that was a fast one pulled by the Indians.
ReplyDeleteSorry my friends, it is not China casting doubts, which would have the Indians raving mad, hysterical, shaking their heads, jumping up and down performing their war dance and attacking China. By the way China has not named the dark side of the moon yet, have they? Why so slow? Just look at the Anglo Saxon Whites claiming lands wherever they landed, shouting discovery, as if no one else is already living there.
It is good that Western sources are casting doubts instead. The Indians did learn its lesson from the USA's foolish mistake of a show of arrogance in pulling off a fake landing. The Indians are just providing clips as short as possible and easier to fool and explain, since they already knew those clips will be scrutinised, every millimetre of it. Indians are smart not to reveal the 'horses legs' like the USA, with Armstrong and partner hopping and jumping around like a clown on 'the moon'and providing clues to expose their fakery.
More than 54 years later, the USA still failed to convince the rest of the world that they really went to the moon, not with the exposure of the present state of their rocketry and expertise being shown to the world. Are they still using Russian rockets to go up to the International Space Station I wonder?
Now Japan is also in the race, sending another rocket to the moon after a few failures. While the world is talking about saving earth, some are now out to pollute space and the moon.
Interesting!
It would be interesting if India could show the complete clip of the rover sliding down from the lander and moving around. It would be more interesting if they could show what the rover's camera saw as it moved around. Also the laser they used to test the soil on the moon surface where they discovered sulphur, oxygen, and air...
ReplyDeleteDoesn't it strike the world as highly suspicious that the so called "moon landing" coincided with the BRICS meeting in South Africa? Somehow, they had to contrive something to boost their ego with leaders of the other BRICS congratulating Modi. But behind his back, they are probably sniggering because countries like China and Russia has the technology to know that what they see is not what they got.
ReplyDeleteThe Indian moon landing was all computer generated graphics, no real images of the landing. The Indians showed a few seconds of the lander and rover that could have been done in Bollywood. Actually anyone can produce that kind of clips in any dry part of the earth, not even needing to be in a desert.
ReplyDeleteMy gut feeling is it landed but suffered major malfunction(s). That is why very little photo video evidence post landing. Perhaps a hard landing caused the malfunction(s).
