And yet, a USA envoy came out days ago to criticise China for banning
Japanese seafood imports. China should go further and ban all foodstuff
from Japan as the link from seafood goes much further than just eating
fish from Japan alone. USA Ambassador Rahm Emmanuel even visited a city
in Fukishima just to eat fish and fruits on August 31. What is he trying
to prove? That he is a hero? Paradoxically the USA had already banned
Japanese foodstuff, which must have included seafood, much earlier
itself, over radiation fears, and as Putin said, the USA will criticise
others for things it had been doing itself before others. The USA
leaders think the rest of the world are silly, uninformed and dumb, like
their own voters.
Saying that the earlier ban by the USA is
restrictied only to foodstuff from certain areas of Japan, where
investigations carried out on those foodstuff, indicated radiation
levels hundreds of times above safety limits, which is not a revelation
of comfort for others. Those import restrictions were later hurriedly
removed, possibly trying to pave a way for Japan to embark on carrying
out its intention to release the Fukushima wastewater into the ocean,
which had been piling up uncontrollaby. The Japanese intention had
already been talked about since 2021, and they only waited for the
rubber stamp of approval by the IAEA, which in turn needed the go ahead
by the USA for sure. Which the Japanese were betting on to silence
critics with those connections.
It does not detract from the fact
that the USA had long found issues with those foodstuff from Japan and
imposed the ban, undoubtedly only to lift it to facilitate Japan's wish
to release those wastewater into the ocean. Radiation issues cannot
realistically and suddenly disappear overnight and food becomes safe
like magic. It takes decades, even centuries to clear.
Just look
at Chenobyl, which is still problematically leaking radiation
dangerously after more than three decades encased in concrete. And look
at the testing ground in the Pacific Ocean, eg Bikini Island now feared
to be leaking radioactive substances into the ocean from all those
nuclear tests conducted by the West. This attempt to whitewash the
release of radioactive water into the ocean is absolutely an
irresponsible and unimaginably ridiculous plot full of holes.
So,
looking at the issue now, the USA, by lifting the ban on import of
Japanese foodstuff which includes seafood earlier, is ostensibly an
attempt to help the Japanese food industry to weather the storm, but
indirectly is telling USA citizens that they can die, which is their own
business, but helping Japan is paramount. This is not much different
from USA senators caring more for Ukraine than Hawaiian people after
their children, homes and businesses were burnt to a crisp, or USA
citizens living on the streets while billions were sent to aid Ukraine.
Good luck to the USA people.
By the way, the German Government
is predicatably following the USA, with Annalena Bearbock, the German
Foreign Minister, openly telling her people that Ukraine is more
important than them. Good luck to the German people as well.

PS. The Pacific Ocean current will bring the contaminated waste water from Japan to the US, Canada and South America, including the Pacific Islands, New Zealand and Australia. The final destination of these contaminated water is all the oceans of the world.
Our new 1st lady will definitely welcome the import of more radiated fish from her motherland. Daft sinkies can have radiated fish party at Istana on Diwali open house..cheer!
ReplyDeleteHuat also can import pineapple from Japan,
DeleteNever mind, what goes around comes around. Those contaminated waters will go around the world eventually, circulating, and not only will China and South Korea be affected, the Whites themselves will have their day. Alaskan King Crabs, Lobsters, Bluefins among others will be glowing with green eyes and taste even better, but also will be banned as they look like aliens from another planet, LOL. They can continue to eat Japanese seafood, since it is going to be the safest, since they are now not banned by the USA, which the rest of the Whites will follow. The Anglo Saxon White clique behaves like the living dead, only following what the USA does. Poor chaps, but little need for sympathy.
ReplyDeleteIt does not surprise me that the prices of Japanese seafood are plunging. This is just the tip of the iceberg and with more and more seafood stocks piling up, you know what is going to happen. What can the WTO do if Chinese citizens just stay away from Japanese seafood? By then, even opening up the Chinese market makes little difference. Oh yes, the Japanese Government will keep providing support, just like the support the Japanese Government threw at the economy, for over three decades, to stimulate growth.
Three decades of frantic stimulation, did not result in any erection, and the Japanese GDP is still just languishing at US$4.23 trillion, an amount they already surpassed in 1993. Abenomics was gloated to be different and will bring Japan out of its predicament, with three arrows thrown in, but the economic growth is still stuck in the mud. What is even worse coming is the cannibalisation of Japan's motor vehicle and electronics industry and the effect of China's restrictions on rare earth.
As the USA together with its allies allies like Japan are so gung ho and shouting about de-coupling from China, why is it necessary for Japan to complain to the WTO? Isn't decoupling what they always wanted? Oh, sorry the new song is titled 'de-risking'. China is just helping them to achieve their goals faster. Hypocrites!
There are so many sites on social media shouting about the impending collapse of China and everything in the country is breaking down. That begs the question of why are people like USA Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo wanting to go to China to talk, instead of just ignoring and letting China collapse. If China is on the verge of collapse, why is Janet Yellen still talking recently about asking China not to dump USA Treasuries and even asking for help to buy more? China now cares two hoots about those beggings.
A country like the USA that is touted to be doing so well in job creation, achieving all time highs on the stock market (anything to do with all that US$ trillions being printed?), a banking system that is touted to be so sound and solid like a rock, should not be going to China, which is doing so badly, to ask for help. Isn't it simply ridiculous? A rich man going to a would be beggar soon, to ask for help? Just de-couple and let China fall to pieces is more logical. In this way, India, itching to be the next challenger could take China's place much earlier and would I dare say that history is going to repeat itself. I would say 'will repeat' rather than 'is going to repeat' itself.
Taiwan Ambassador to Japan claimed contaminated nuclear water is good for health, can be used in hot spa.
ReplyDeleteMajority share holders of Tepco is Blackrock from USA. This should be the reason why USA kept quite about the release of Blackwater into the ocean. Japanese and American are really blackhearted.
