Good class bungalows in Singapore

Leader of the Opposition Pritam Singh, PAP MPs file parliamentary questions on ministers' rental of Ridout Road state properties

 31 Ridout Road

26 Ridout Road

Two huge and beautiful good class bungalows, built by the British colonial masters for their top officials governing this island, once seized by them as their colony. This is the proud heritage of Singapore, once a part of the great British Empire and its residents were not citizens but subjects of the British Empire. The colonial masters came from far away Europe in their gunboats and took this island and Malaya as theirs. Nobody thinks this is wrong or illegal, a violation of international laws or rules of law. Or is it that there were no laws so the Brits and other Europeans could come and grab all the lands they want and call it theirs? Or was it lawless, or laws under the guns?

And they occupied and built such spacious homes good enough for the royalties and aristocrats. These bungalows are located in a small enclave right in the heart of Singapore, 2 minutes from Orchard Road and the Istana, and in a totally quiet and idyllic exclusive environment of greeneries. No ugly high rise flats in the neighbourhood. What a way to rise in the morning and to retire at night, far from the maddening crowd of hoi polloi.

What a great place to live and bring up children. How many people in Singapore could afford to live in such splendid homes? How much would each cost, $100m or $200m or more? These are homes that the peasants can only dream of.

Blessed are those that could have the privilege to reside in such homes.

  1. Dr Lily Neo: “Sir, I want to check with the Minister again when he said on the strict criteria on the entitlement for PA recipients. May I ask him what is his definition of “subsistence living”? Am I correct to say that, out of $260 per month for PA recipients, $100 goes to rental, power supply and S&C and leaving them with only $5 a day to live on? Am I correct to say that any basic meal in any hawker centre is already $2.50 to $3.00 per meal? Therefore, is it too much to ask for just three meals a day as an entitlement for the PA recipients?”

Very "Principled" Minister: How much do you want? Do you want three meals in a hawker centre, food court or restaurant?”

    1. Aiya, all those hypocrites who smiled in front of all those daft Peasants thinking that they are here to service you are just too foolish.

Just want your votes thats all about it.

Even behind closed doors, after some nappings in the House and happy hours thereafter, joked and laughed at the pituful Peasants that stupidly gave them all these privileges.

Some even insulted the masses as sia suays etc until something leaked out.
Then, again when the time comes for the same again, then again have the same MediaCorpse actings dramas again.

Humans vices and greeds that if I were to give you more than I would have less.

So, for my own luxuries as long as I am able to attain it why should I share with you and loss all my luxuries.

So too bad, its your own inabilites that you have to lead your kind of lifes and mine my own.

But they can made mistakes and wasted millions on tax payers monies without a whimper and goes Scott free as their own will protect them as they are the White Crows that languished together.

So to give poor Peasants another few hundreds would be like cutting their flesh which anyway is also not their monies but to over millions just for their Prestige on a stupid Sporting Event to host and feed others is a worthy expenditure.

All these just concluded kampong SEA Games where Sinkies are so Proud to get their half past sixes Golds and can gloated forever praising them with never ending news.

Especially that Sprinter which the Papies Leaders are trying to brainwash the Majority that they are Good and we must gave them the Leaderships.

Just one kampong rubbish gold and Heavens broke loose. Never even watch one of their stupid kampong game.

  2. Good morning rb .. Good class bungalows?? Which other bungalows in Singapore have that sort of land area n location? Command House? Istana? How many of the multi million dollar transacted properties even cover half of the area. Foreigners need to bring truckloads of cash just to occupy these..our ministers only need to convey their wishes to a senior minister. Wonder who's maintaing the grounds..can't be peanuts..gardening..lighting..etc ..is there also security issues..no problem..it will be guarded around the clock..possibly more guards than the istana due to the higher more senior than the president ministers. A can of worms..not a small can ..a bloody vat full!!

  3. Vivian BallsKrishnan is the foreign minister of Red dot, hence makes sense to ensure his living conditions are respectable when he hosts all the ambassadors and foreign ministers at the current RidOut property.
It is the same for Shamemugan. His living quarters must have enough space to simultaneously host all the top buggers in Police, ICA, Isd, etc with the prime millionaire in attendance.
To allay public perception of excessive self indulgence by 2 of his stooges, the prime millionaire should reside in one of the properties whilst the sweet tongue and silly heart kelingkias share living quarters in the other. LOL

  4. Hi Anon 10.23

Monday, they will have a Parliament Meeting and this is one of the issue in the Agenda as tabled by the MPs both Oppo and Ruling.

Ruling ones have to wayang a bit to clear the Air as they are transparent.

Oppo Ones to ask the Real Bidding that came out so concidentally for these two Great Ministers at the same time and same place and whether any other biddings besides them and at whats rental price they paying to show their transparency and fairness.

But, any the favourite word by Emil Cosman will be thus as reply by our PM or his Senior Minister as thus:-

"In Singapore, our Ministers and MPs are here to serve. Many scarifices were made by them in serving the peoples.

See one instance case of the wifey of one of our PAP MP where she had to wait sometimes long thru the night for her husband back from serving his constitutents.

So please do not begrudge these Ministers and MPs staying in n in some of these environments as rightfully should be enjoyed by them.

If they were to be in the Private Sectors earning many times over then they would have even be the owners of these properties.

So dont begrudge them as some benefits in staying in these two luxurious Coloninal bungalows.

If Singaporeans have this small thinking and begrudged us even of these small luxuries than no one capable ones will be willing to serve. And we shall.be poorer for it.

Wah powerful speech as always quote by Geroge Galloway.

Ahem, there are a thousands waiting to join your elite ranks if only they have the chance and called upon for tea interviews.

NOT the calls to serve the Nation.

My own words lah. Not their answers..

Let them have some good illusions and memoried to behave like those Maraharas in India like the Brits Coloninal Masters.

Afterall, we are brought up with the same mentality like our previous and also ahem current Masters the Brits.

So All this will be their usual reply.

    Mark my words

    Cheers

  5. Aiyoh, peasants where dare to dream of such bungalows costing S$100 million! Must be crazy and 'boh tua boh soi'. They are only for the privilege class, the top dogs.

  6. They have made great sacrifices to serve the people, earning a miserable $1m or $2m salary when they could be earning $10m or more in the private sector. So to let them live in a little luxury in these bungalows is a small consolation.

And poor thing, always work till late at night, even weekends, no time for family and children. What a huge sacrifice from such talented and selfless leaders.

Don't begrudge them for a small luxury like colonial bungalows.

Say thank you to them for their sacrifices for the people.

    1. Right you are Anon 11.55

If they were in the Private Sectors, there's no need for them in their what's professions and maybe be like the Rest of the PMETs as PHV drivers living in two roomed flexis dungeon lanes Pigeon holes.

Sinking Land where have such economy for them as just internal hawkers economy.

  7. Is Singapore still an empire, the natural aristocrats here having succeeded the British? If it is, it's little wonder the grand residences of the British overlords are now the residences of the succeeding rulers.
