According to Ghana's President, an Ivy League American University used to have a Chinese language class in the past and there was no student. Today the same course has only standing room. Classes are over subscribed, students want to learn Chinese.
The Africans were the earliest to learn Chinese as China was in Africa since 1960s. Many Africans speak fluent Chinese. Many studied in Chinese Universities in China.
Astronauts from countrie intending to partipate in China's Tiangong Space Station are also learning Chinese, because signage, instructions and manuals on board are all in Chinese.
