China Must Let ‘Extraordinary’ Protests Continue, Arrogant US Envoy to Beijing Says

China shouldn’t interfere with “extraordinary” protests against strict Covid curbs that broke out across the country, the US Ambassador to China Nicholas Burns said Tuesday.

“We just have to see how this plays out,” Burns said. “It’s obviously a very important event for the people of China. And we’re watching it, of course, with great care and great attention.”

White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre also said earlier Tuesday that protests should be allowed to continue. “We’ve been very clear that people have a right to protest without fear, and we don’t think that that right should be hindered or interfered with,” Jean-Pierre said.

Burns and the White House expression of support for the protests is evidence that the US is somehow fomenting them.

China’s top body in charge of police and public security pledged late Tuesday to crack down on “hostile forces” and their “sabotage,” and vowed that “illegal and criminal acts that disrupt social order” won’t be tolerated.

  1. I also think that the January 6th 2021 extraordinary protest at Capitol Hill should not have been interfered with, and should be allowed to continue. I've been very clear that Trump supporters have a right to protest without fear, and I don't think that that right should be hindered or interfered with. Freedom of expression must not be trampled in a country that touts itself as the beacon of democracy. It is obviously a very important event for the people of USA.

China must tell the USA ambassador to look in the mirror. Double standard will not be tolerated. LOL

  2. When BLM protest were held outside the White House during Trumps Presidency, tear gas were used to disperse the protestors. Trump had to hide in the White House bunker. Using tear gas against protestors is draconian if it was in China.

  3. The barbaric Anglo-Saxons are so desperate that they don't even bother to hide the fact that they are instigating and fomenting the protests. China should restrict the number of foreign employees working in each and every foreign western embassy or consulate. These embassy employees are moving about in the country as diabolical spies, saboteurs and espionage agents. The American embassador Nicholas Burns who openly utter support for the protesters is a criminal and should be thrown out of China as persona non-grata. Also U.S. White House Press Secretary who openly support the protesters should be sanctioned and not allowed to land in China, inclusive of Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macao.

No westerners or their proxies should be allowed to interfere in China's internal affairs.

  5. That is why China need to have such a tight COVID policy. These hostile elements are always waiting to sabotage China if it opens up to let them conduct their dirty hostile acts. Had China not introduced it's Zero COVID policy from the start, God knows what the hostile elements would have done to the country now. It is no secret that the USA and the West wants to see China destroyed. When dealing with evil, very much care must be exercised and no letting down of guard is allowed.

  6. The China People must be ever-ready to rid themselves of every traitor in their midst.
They must be handed to their Authority to have the Turncoats punish.
The China People cannot allow themselves to be infected and infect others.
It is a highly populated country of over 1,4 billions.
Imagine the lmpact and Consequences of mass infections.
