For the last few hundred years, the West have ruled the world and wrote the rules for international relations and trade. Obama set up the TTP just to do that, to write the new rules for international trade. The Americans would want to set the rules for the rest of the world. The Bretton Woods financial system, the IMF, World Bank, the UN, were all set up by the West with rules dictated by them in their own interests and favour.
The increasing aggressiveness of the Americans and the West to dominate and bully the rest of the world with their wars and abrasive sanctions and weaponising the dollar and financial system have in a way propelled the BRICS countries and the organisation into the limelight. The world cannot tolerate the bullying of the Americans and the West and wanted to be treated more fairly, to be treated as equals. BRICS, SCO are among the two new organisations that are seen as the New Hope for the rest of the world to co exist in a fairer and interdependent world, not a world dominated and dictated by the West.
For the first time, BRICS countries are now sitting at the top table and starting to write a new set of rules for the New World. The first and most urgent task is to create a new world currency to replace the US dollar created by the Bretton Woods meeting by the white men. For the first time, the countries of the world would want to write their own rules, fairer rules for the developing countries of the world. The BRICS countries, some have GDPs in the top 10 countries of the world, but not invited to join the G7, seen as non participants or passengers in the current world order, would now be sitting in their own top table without the G7, to call the shot. Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa, to be joined by several other major developing countries, would now be in the driving seat to write a new set of rules for themselves, for the rest of the world, in the interests of the rest of the world.
No longer would the fate and future of the rest of the world be dictated by the G7, by the Americans and the West. This new found power and confidence and new found roles of BRICS would determine what the world would be like going into the future. The developing countries would now have a say, the BRICS countries would now have a say, not only be seen but not heard like before. This is only proper and equitable. The BRICS countries have 40% of the world's population and 30% of the world's GDP against 12% of the world's population and 25% of the world's GDP of the developed world. With more developing countries joining BRICS, the numbers could only go higher and its importance increases proportionally.
No longer would the few developed countries be deciding on the interests of the rest of the world anymore. The rest of the world would decide for themselves what is good for themselves. No longer would the coloured people play second fiddle to the white men, to be cast aside by the white men as insignificant, as non players, without a say in world affairs, in writing the rules of the world.
The more the countries of the world understand how they have been shortchanged by the white men, the more would be in a hurry to join the BRICS countries and the SCO. The world could only become fairer and better in a new world when every nation has an equal say in the common future of the world.
The rest of the world, the coloured people, no longer need to be kept waiting outside the white men's door hoping to be invited in, hoping for some compassion, generosity and charity from the white men, or to be dismissed, threatened, bullied and pushed around by them.
When they carved up Africa into 54 countries in Berlin in 1884, no African country was consulted or involved in the decision, and all made by the Anglo Saxon clique of evil doers.
ReplyDeleteAnd they called it an 'International Conference' on dividing up Africa, yet with no African particpation. Was it a 'sham'? You decide.
In BRICS, every country is treated equal, big or small.
ReplyDeleteCompare that to the UN, where even a small 'Little Britain' can decide whether Russia can call an investigation into the false flag Bucha Massacre.
Is the UN also a 'sham' organisation? You decide.
China suffered more than 100 years of humiliation and plundered.
ReplyDeleteIndia suffered more than 400 years of colonisation, humiliation, massacred and plundered.
Africa suffered just as much as India.
The rest of the world were also colonised, humiliated and plundered and massacred.
Wake up to the evils of the white men. Stop their exploitation and rule over the rest of the world.
The UN and all white men set up organisations must be disbanded and replace by new organisations set up by the rest of the world when every country has equal rights.
ReplyDeleteThe silly and humiliating Commonwealth Organisation must go immediately. Only stupid people with no self respect after being colonised, raped and massacred, would still want to be a member of this shameful and sham colonial organisation to remind them of their past as colonies of the Brits.
There is nothing to be proud of to be colonised.
RB "Ah Di",
ReplyDeletePerhaps the following could be helpful?
There are some additions to BRICS. Unfortunately, possibly for some reason(s) or no reason (not sure, dunno) , no new acronym has been updated (to BRICS)?
The new additions are Indonesia and Mexico.
Why not MSN be the trail blazer and set as the creator of a new acronym to reflect the new additions:
Let's call it BRICISM or CRIIMBS?
Stats-wise, Indo + Mex = 400 million pop, 2+ to 3 trillions GDP.
Hence BRICISM total pop= 45%, TOTAL GDP +2.5 TO 3% with inclusion of Indo and Mex.
Regards,
Lao Leng (Ah Hia)
There will be more countries joining BRICS. Argentina and Iran have applied for membership and probably already in. Venezuela could be joining as well. These are major countries.
ReplyDeleteYes, BRICS must therefore evolve. A more inclusive acronym should be found that will make everyone happy. A more general acronym like 'BRI', covering all countries in the project.
How to make everyone happy?
ReplyDelete1. Use a name that includes every single Initial of the country?
2. Use a common name that can accommodate each and every country? This should be more appropriate?
Using initials of each country is not practical. You need changes with each new entry. Certainly a no no.
ReplyDeleteMaybe NESSA or 'New Economic, Strategic and Security Alliance' might be appropriate.
Lets welcome old dragon, Ah Hia, to the blog.
ReplyDeleteI think BRICS may have to change eventually. How about AAAA or A4 ie Asia, Africa, America Alliance? Then there will be the A4 countries or A4 nations versus the G7.
I think the scholars would be able to come up with a better acronym for the new expanded organisation, unless they want to retain BRICS to recognise the original founders countries.
AAA would be appropriate. It stands for 'Anti America Alliance' LOL

ReplyDelete"Lets welcome old dragon, Ah Hia, to the blog."
A ........ Hemmmm ......... (lucky nvr choke on slyva) Thank You RB ...... "Ah Di" (quite mouthful [and awkward] actually to utter such a long name especially the last 2 ....) .......... (for your warm welcome. 你容易吗?). Old Dragon Ah Hia is "verlee honoured" (actually "over honoured " to say the "truth". Ah Hia 容易吗? ).
I think the scholars would be able to come up with a better acronym for the new expanded organisation
不用了。求人不如求己!
China, India, Russia, Brazil, Persia (Iran) , Turkey, Mexico, Indonesia, etc are nations with long history, great culture ..... Civilisations that existed since time immemorial.
How about naming them as "Economic and Political Organisations of Great Civilisations" (EPOC)?
In this epochal time, EPOC 听起来挺合适的。
你们觉得呢?
Cheers,
Old Dragon 28 (Ah Hia aka Lao Leng)
Oops.... Typo (mobile phone auto-correct)
DeleteShould be
*Organisation (w/o the "s")
Then other countries with short history not ale to join so not good idea
DeleteIn Chinese should be:
ReplyDelete"伟大文明经济与政治组织" (EPOC)
Cheers,
Old Dragon 28 (Ah Hia aka Lao Leng)
Where does Singapore (bananas) stand ?
ReplyDeleteEPOC sounds exactly like the Anti-China Newspaper EPOC. Anything that already has a reputation of "Anti" someone or country, is not good as a name for such GREAT Organisation!
ReplyDeleteA3 Alliance would be a nice name!
ReplyDeleteOr
Africa, America and Asia Alliance.
Unless they want to retain the Old Name for posterity.
Absolutely right. Epoch Times is an anti China media funded by the CIA.
ReplyDeleteHope Old Dragon is not linked to Epoch Times.
Just wondering, would India choose to be a big fish in BRICS, have a real role in writing the new world order, or be a small pawn in QUAD or in the UN, being manipulated by the Americans to do the bidding of the Americans?
ReplyDeleteThe QUAD is actually of no relevance to India. It is only for looking after the interest of the USA, Australia and Japan. They formed the QUAD knowing that India is not on good terms with China. That is their modus operandi in geopolitical play.
ReplyDeleteWithout China being the centre of everything that the QUAD stands for, when the China threat disappears somehow, India, in trying to rise as a world power, will be the next target itself. That is a certainty.
Right now, for India not condemning Russia in Ukraine, you can see the attitude of the USA towards India. It borders on veiled threats and provocations, using Pakistan as a proxy for putting pressure on India. Remember, India is still buying weapons and conducting trade with Russia and their relationship is mutual. The USA is trying to break that up.
So, India's future lies with BRICS, whichever way you look at it. Breaking away from BRICS and putting more eggs in the basket of the QUAD is not in it's long term interest. India is, after all, a founding member of BRICS, not a junior powerless entity in the QUAD.
India now does not need the Americans. It can buy all the weapons it needs from Russia or Europe. It can buy all the non military goods from China or Europe at a much cheaper price.
ReplyDeleteAnd China is not a threat to India. China has enough land and does not need the small stretches of border land with India. These could be settled with a few give and take, but the arrogant and cocky India does not want to give an inch and wanted to take everything the Brits stole from China. This is the only tangible issue with India. The rest of the differences are silly Indian pride and sense of self importance.
Good relations with China would bring a lot of real benefits from China. China can supply everything the Indians need at a fraction of the price the Americans or Europeans would sell.
Once the Indians get their thinking straight, India would choose to stand on its own feet as a big power, not to be make use of by the Americans, as a piece of pawn to irritate China.
