Xinjiang would be as rich and developed as the eastern province of China. Urumqi would be the Shanghai of western China. With the BRI and the opening up of Central Asia and the growing importance of land transportation made possible by high speed trains, global trade and communication would not be the same again. When trade was solely dependent on sea routes, maritime cities and states enjoyed unprecedented growth for being in the trade routes. Landlocked countries and cities were left out from the main trading activities. Xinjiang and the Central Asian countries were in a way abandoned, left isolated and to survive thriftily on the fringes of the world. They resigned to the fate of being underdeveloped and poor and make do with their barren lands and isolation.
The fate of the Central Asian states would be dramatically changed for the better. Xinjiang would be the western gateway of China and would benefit tremendously from the trades that by passed the region. As many as half of the trade could go pass Xinjiang to and through Central Asia to Europe and vice versa. If the eastern provinces of China can prosper by trade, Xinjiang too would do just as well. The biggest beneficiary of this transformation, a paradigm shift if international trade would be the minorities in Xinjiang, the Uyghurs and other Muslim minorities. They could become one of the richest Muslim people in the world.
This is China's plan to develop Xinjiang and Central Asia, the next growth centre of the world. But there is a caveat. The Americans would not want this to happen. They need the Muslim minorities in the region to bring down China, to stop China's growth. The fake support of Uyghurs and fabricated discrimination, forced labour and genocide were created to be used as an excuse to incite the Muslims to create unrest in the region. The banned on produce from Xinjiang, the fruit of Muslim minority labour, is a ploy to impoverish the Muslims in Xinjiang to agitate and incite unrest in the province. Stopping purchase of Xinjiang produce would adversely affect the income and standard of living of the Uyghurs and Muslims in the region. In the guise of supporting their fabricated allegations of forced labour and genocide, the Americans are trying to cripple the economy and livelihood of the Uyghurs and Muslims, to keep them poor and unhappy. This devious plot of the Americans cannot be allowed to succeed if the Uyghurs and Muslims hope to prosper in the opening up of Central Asia and the revitalising of trade and economic activities in Xinjiang.
The people of Xinjiang has a very bright future when 50 per cent of China Europe trade passes through the region. They will be in the heart of all the economic activities and would be the main beneficiary. Maritime trade would have to compromise and share half of its volume to land trade through central Asian. The impact on maritime trade would be significant with the opening and development of land trade through Central Asia. The pie may grow but a big portion of the pie would be diverted to land trade. This is the new reality for maritime states. It is time that they realise and make adjustments for a smaller piece of the cake. Tuas may be too big for a smaller pie.
Xinjiang can look forward to becoming the new region of growth if all things go as planned by the Xi govt. The Muslims in Xinjiang has a bright and prosperous future to look forward to, sitting at the western gateway into China, the old silk route.
The Americans are fabricating lies about discrimination against Uyghurs in Xinjiang, pretending to be caring for the Uyghurs but actually trying to destroy their livelihood, to exploit them when they not doing well and incite them to go against the central govt. Only by impoverising the Uyghurs can the Americans use them to destabilise Xinjiang.
ReplyDeleteThe basic agenda of the Americans is anti Muslims. To ban produce from Xinjiang would only undermine the interests of the Muslims and their well being. So the Americans are killing two birds with one stone, destroy the economy and life of the Muslims in Xinjiang and turn them against the Chinese govt. The Americans are anti Muslims all over the world. Period.
China is trying very hard to raise the standard of living of the Muslims in Xinjiang by turning Xinjiang into a prosperous region of China, with more investments and developments that would bring prosperity to the Muslims in Xinjiang. This is something that the Americans want to stop, to keep the Muslims poor and to destabilise China.

Ah..the priviledges of being an US ally
Understand Xinjiang is rich in rare minerals. A third of China's uranium needs for nuclear energy generation comes from Xinjiang. Xinjiang will become even more important with countries now scrambling to restart or increase nuclear power generation of energy fighting for uranium. With supply shortage resulting from the Ukraine war already a problem with supplies, the only other major source is Australia.
ReplyDeleteChina is building many more nuclear power plants and Xinjiang will be of greater strategic importance. China is now also forging links all across Cental Asia, with the CKU rail links being forged with Kyrgystan and Uzbekistan. This link will bring all of Central Asia into the BRI and increase the importance of those countries relying on rail links for trade and investments.
Laos is already finding out the benefits of more trade with Thailand and China using the HSR built by China. So will many other landlocked countries in Central Asia.
All the Chinese projects and activities are to support economic development and growth.
ReplyDeleteAll the American projects and activities are about threats, weapons, military alliances and wars.
Rightly so. When the USA forges any alliances with any country or countries, the narrative is always to counter China, with more weapon sales to carry this out. Nothing more, nothing less and nothing else.
ReplyDeleteWhen China forges alliances with any country or countries, the narrative is basically about increasing trade, infrastructure developments and helping to eleviate poverty. Nothing about countering any other country.
So, why would countries already benefiting from all the Chinese help, like the ASEAN members, want to throw them all away and adopt alliances with the USA to shoot themselves in the foot? Unless they are long time poodles, it makes little sense.
Even then, countries with long ties to the USA are learning to be smarter. Countries like Saudi Arabia are finding out who to trust and to hedge their bets. Saudi Arabia is the third major country helping Russia with energy imports and making tons of money in the process. Imagine a major oil producer doing that?
And not only that, as OPEC+ member itself, the group has even decided to reduce output by 100,000 barrels per day among themselves to add to the energy crisis. That is a tight slap on the face of Biden, who earlier had travelled to Saudi Arabia to beg them to increase production. MBS and OPEC+ are basically adding insult to injury.
ReplyDeleteXinjiang is the Largest Province of China with the Least Population.

Urumqi is probably one of the most well built and modern Muslim city in the world and the people living harmoniously and getting richer except for a short period when the American trained terrorists were running wild and killing and smashing everything in sight.
ReplyDeleteThese terrorists were not sent to Guantanamo Bay to be tortured by the Americans, tied with a leash like dogs, beaten up, water treatment and whatever crimes forbidden by the Geneva Convention. They were sent to reeducation training centres, learnt skills and rejoin society as economically active citizens. They could see the light, the bright future for all the Muslims in Xinjiang when investments and developments are pouring in.
The Xinjiang Muslims are about the most economically active people in the world and their education and living standards are rising rapidly. Their lives can only get better and better when Xinjiang becomes the new centre of economic growth.
The Muslims in Xinjiang would be the nouveau riche of China in a decade or two and well educated with free and good education.
ReplyDeleteJoker Joe Biden confidently declared, without the support of his right-hand man Dr Fauci, that Covid-19 Pandemic is over!
ReplyDeleteHow audacious can a person be! While the numbers of Covid deaths and infections continue unabated, he blatantly declared that Covid-19 Pandemic is over?
Dr Fauci, on the other hand, is more cautious as he said that the numbers are still very high and it is prudent to be more cautious.
In addition, there are still other mutations that are forthcoming. Therefore, it is not the time yet to throw our hands up and surrendered ourselves to the virus!
Resilience or no resilience, the virus does not know who or what you are. All it wants is to infect you and from your infection, spread to other unfortunate beings.
Furthermore, once you have been infected, the chances of you suffering from long Covid is very high. So, better to keep our fingers crossed and hope that we will never get infected at all!
When would the Americans allege that the Moon is a threat and start to sanction it?
ReplyDeleteJoe Biden is going to be seen as having played out the Europeans big time over energy promises he made before the sanctions on Russia. It now surfaces that the oil producers in the USA are in no position to help the Europeans in oil and gas supplies scheduled after December 5th, when all sanctions are fully implemented against Russian oil and gas. Now the shit has hit the European fans, with the realisation that there is no other alternative they could find to replace Russian oil and gas. Now what?
ReplyDeleteWhen the USA promises one thing, it does not mean they will carry that out. Europe has been thrown under the bus, and soon will be Ukraine's turn.
That brings us back to the issue of Taiwan. With all the daily shout and posturing by Biden of helping Taiwan in case of a Chinese invasion, the Taiwainese had better take that with lots of salt. Because when it comes to the crunch, the USA can always break their promises when it matters. Afghanistan was a perfect example. Twenty long years they were there and in the end have to discard all their allegiance and flee with only their pants on. And that was only against the Talibans - farmers with small arms.
Biden has just proven beyond any doubts that it is easier to cheat your friends in a game and bring them to the cleaners. He went to the Europeans and told them we were friends and we would set a trap to cheat and kill China. And the Europeans were very happy to join in, trusting their best friend, the Americans.
ReplyDeleteThe real intent was to cheat and kill the Europeans. And the Europeans willingly and gladly allowed the Americans to strip them naked, and still did not know what was happening.
Xinjiang's prospects look brighter than Singapore's . .
ReplyDeleteYes, of course, the prospect and prosperity of Xinjiang is much better than that of Singapore and many other countries like the UK and the EU. No doubts about this.
ReplyDeleteXinjiang has already proven herself that she can establish all the necessary conditions to improve and increase productivity and human skills.
Xinjiang is the biggest producer and exporters of cotton products to the world. And the beneficiary is the Muslims that produced these cotton products. The Americans are trying to kill the export of these Muslim products from Xinjiang to impoverish the Muslims in Xinjiang.
ReplyDeleteThe Americans are banning the imports of Muslim products from Xinjiang to harm the economic well beings of the Muslims in Xinjiang.
