  1. From a pro-Russian commentator:

'I don't know who "calculated" this ever important and defining thing--a required force (наряд сил)--for this "counter-offensive", but whoever it was, or were, they have huge issues with operational planning and with math, in terms of stating conception, objectives (task) and criteria of effectiveness by which to judge the outcome, which, now we all know.

You cannot fix stupid and amateur, and that is how US (and Western, in general) "aid" to Kiev regime increasingly looks like. But I have been at it for such a long time that there is no need to dwell on this yet again. The conclusion is simple and self-evident--those who "plan" these "operations" for VSU are the same people who ended up having lied and, finally, had their ass handed to them by a ragtag Taliban in Afghanistan and elsewhere. You cannot expect a serious combined arms operations of scale and scope of SMO ability from the military which primarily fought COIN throughout its modern existence. Granted, that North Vietnamese were more than just very skillful guerrillas, those guys also knew how to fight a good fight with serious weapons.

I am sure that this whole FUBAR with this "counter-offensive" which ended in a disaster, and pathetic attempts to sabotage IAEA visit to Zaprorozhie by trying to insert there two saboteur groups, which now have been annihilated, bear all hallmarks of the American "combined arms" planning which is primarily based around PR for the domestic consumption provided by pliable US media and have very little practical output in reality. In the end, even WaPo had enough with this "planning". Now add here a procurement failure by Pentagon ranging from losing its industrial base to a perverted practices of R&D ranging from disasters with LCS, F-35 to a dismal performance of the US-made battlefield weapons, and one begins to get the impression about what constantly goes wrong. This also explains a desperation from seeing West's best proxy ever being annihilated in industrial quantities by a fraction of Russian Armed Forces.

For the environment of America's top political echelon over-saturated with political "scientists", climate "experts" and lawyers it is impossible to explain, to get across the realities of real warfare and views of the nation whose military history simply dwarfs whatever the United States can present as a counter or alternative experience. This is not the reality "the finest fighting force in history" can easily accept, nor, possibly, judging by the spiraling out of control demoralization and declining quality of the force, even comprehend.'

  2. This counter offensive in Kherson was conjured on the spur of the moment. Probably on the instigation of Boris Johnson during his recent visit, just to shore up the moral of the Ukrainian side. Just like Joe Demantia Biden's Build Back Better and US$600 billion infrastructure plan of building castles in the air.

How long did the Russians take to plan on liberating Donetsk and Luhanks? From end to end, it took them eight long years, right from the Ukrainian's refusal to adopt the Minsk Agreement, which Putin knew was the time he needed to put his planning into gear.

The USA and Nato can keep sending weapons to Ukraine, hoping to change the direction of the war and to prolong the conflict. Every time they did that, they claimed those weapons were a game changer, but nothing changes except Russia gaining more territories, and those weapons were mostly destroyed the moment they enter the war. Now we know that foreigners were actually manning those game changing weaponry, and not the Ukrainians military. The Ukrainians do not have the expertise to do so and have to be trained, for months, and they do not have the luxury of time to do so. The fact that foreigners are among the casualties shows that the war is changing it's pattern.

Building on false hopes and hyping up illusions of victory does not win the war. It does more harm to troops when they find out that what they have been told were not what they were expecting. Trying to retake Kherson was a lesson. And Zelensky is still talking about retaking Crimea? Is he clowning around or is he serious?

  3. This will be a very harsh winter for the stupid Europeans. Many will die with no oil and gas to heat their homes. Many will die of hunger with high inflation and short supply of food.

The truth and realities when winter hits cannot be talked away by lies and the propaganda in their controlled media.

  4. Talking about lies, I could not help laughing at the present spokesperson for the White House.

In days gone by, it was the Whites spouting 'white lies'. Now there is a Black spokesperson spouting 'black lies'. I wonder which is more toxic?

  6. Brian Belectic on the New Atlas video site just posted an article discussing a report by the Rand Corporation written in 2019, revealing that the USA Government had all along been provocating and pushing Russia in an attempt to destroy Russia's ability to rise as a potential superpower, by attempting to overextend and exhausting Moscow's ability to counter the USA with a long conflict in Ukraine.

Russia is not falling into the same trap that the USA set for the former Soviet Union, and Putin's liberation of Donetsk and Luhansk is well calculated and strategic. Russia now has taken over and control very substantial and important sectors of Ukraine's resources and rich farmlands in the East.

If the USA and Nato keeps on pushing Russia by supplying more sophisticated weapons and personnel to Ukraine, Russia may push further into Ukraine, to set up a buffer zone inside Ukraine itself, to isolate the East from Kiev's threat.

Moreover, the USA is now worried that such sophisticated weapons, if they fall into Russian hands, will enable the Russians to reverse engineer them to their great advantage. The other fear is that Ukraine had been suspected to have sold off such weapons to other interested parties, and some weapons do not even enter the battlefield at all. Lost in transit! In fact one site, Redacted it was, even cited Ukrainian Government officials stealing Nato aid.

The USA and Nato have pushed Russia too far now and Russia's reponse is now too late for the West to recalibrate their stand. As it is, USA's policy failure to contain Russia is going to be catastrophic for the EU and a big setback for the USA in the global perspecitive.

  7. Germany and Japan were, besides China, the other two countries capable of posing challenges to the USA global dominance, and they were comprehensively and creatively taken out of contention by unfair means or foul. Now they are obedient puppies under USA control.

In fact, I would say that Germany has now been taken to the cleaners by the USA over the Nord Stream 2 fiasco, when it could easily have avoided. Had Merkel been in power, she would have stood her ground and not given in so easily to the USA. She had more marbles than Olaf Schulz.

As it is, Russia and China are not that easy to contend with and they will not go the way of the Germans and the Japanese. One hundred years of humiliation and moral destruction using drugs, and China still managed to rise from the ashes.

Russia, China, Iran, North Korea, and a host of Latin American and Africa countries are working their way out of USA control under the US$ hegemony. It will just be a matter of time and enough is enough.
