World War 3 in the making - Raising the stake

The US and its western allies have been having an upper hand in international conflict, dictating the level of conflict and tension as they like by virtue of their superiority in military power. Whenever there is a conflict, the US and the West would be the coercive power, raising the stake as and when they like to the point of initiating a war, invasion and blasting a country to pieces. The overwhelming military power of the US and the West have turned them into the biggest bully in the international stage, breaking all rules and agreements, committing war crimes, invading countries using fabricate lies and disinformation. with impunity. No one, no country could stop the violations of all rule of law by the US and its allies. Basically the US and its allies call the shot. Period.

Syria was the first instance when this western recklessness was checked, in a similar way the American Empire was checked in the Korean War. Putting put a stop to American and western expansion and military adventure in Syria. The war is still going on but no further intrusion or occupation of more land by the West. Syria was a stalemate, a war that the Americans and the West could not win, unlike the cake walk in Iraq and Libya, and Afghanistan as well. The latter ended up with the American beating a retreat.

Now comes Ukraine. Until Putin puts his foot down, the American and the West was still dictating the agenda, pushing eastward to encroach into Russia's area of influence, bringing former Soviet influenced countries into Nato, a position the Americans and the West promised not to do so. Sensing the weakness in Russia, Ukraine and Georgia were on the cards to be absorbed into Nato. If these two states join Nato, American forces and weapons would be at the door of Russia, a very intolerable and unacceptable situation. Russia would then be very vulnerable to an attack by the West.

This is literally the straw that broke the camel's back. Putin has to act. Putin invaded Ukraine, doing something that only the Americans and the West could and would do. Invading a country is the privilege of the Americans and the West. Holy cow, the Russians got the guts to do what was the rights of the West. This is unspeakable. How dare the Russians behave in such an aggressive way!

This rude shock has taken the Americans by surprise. Now all the forces and levers of the Americans would be used to press down Russia. A defiance Russia must be put in its right place. The stake must be raised. Only the Americans and the West could raise the stake in a conflict, short of threatening an invasion like against Iran or North Korea, or China.

The latest, not a single country in Europe can remain neutral. The nordic states have also been dragged in. It is with us or against us. Germany and France too have to toe the line. Every country in Europe outside the Russian sphere of influence must contribute weapons to Ukraine, ie, blood must be stained on every hand. Weapons are going to pour into Ukraine.

Surprise, surprise, Putin responded by raising the stake higher, putting his nuclear force to full alert. Wow, who is threatening who now? The Americans and their allies think they could bully and frighten the Russians. With this latest move, the Russians are threatening the Americans and the West with a nuclear war. The Americans have never been put in such a position before. So, are the Americans going to raise the stake and put their nuclear weapons on high alert as well, to frighten the Russians?

Syria was a stalemate. In Ukraine, the Russians are turning the table on the Americans and the West. You want to play rough, you want to threaten Russia with your superior military forces, Russia is responding by upping the stakes.

Bring it on, America and the West. This is no boyish chicken game. This is for real. This move by Putin is a game changer. Going forward, it would be hard knocks versus hard knocks. There would be no retreat for the Russians, only pushing forward. Playing hard ball, World War 3, let's go for it.

The Americans have never been on this side of the game, the side under attack. They were always in charge, in control. Putin is now in charge, in control. Putin would throw punch for punch.

The spark to ignite Europe into a ball of fire has been scattered all around Ukraine. The Americans think they can supply weapons, through the European countries, like they did to Taiwan and could get away with it. Russia is going to stop the supply. This is war.  Supplying weapons and war machine are as good as participating in the war. The convoys would be attacked. The soldiers escorting the weapons and machine, if Americans or Nato countries, could be killed, the very reason to drag Nato and the Americans into the war with their soldiers. One step leads to another, and Europe would be the battle field.

Let's lay the red carpet to welcome WW3. It is coming, only when.

It is not only Ukraine and the Ukrainians dying for it. Zelensky and Ukrainians may find some comfort in knowing that they are not alone. Let the drums roll.

  1. Third World-war happening is quite slim. Any sane person knows the Stake is too high for anybody, even those in control of nations.
The Newer Generations are less interested in war, they know that it is better to enjoy life in peace rather than to die young in useless war.
WHAT DOES ONE GAIN IN OCCUPYING OTHERS TERRITORY?
    ANSWER: NOTHING.
    Here lies the Commonsensical Wisdom.
Even national leader embroils in war knows the Damages of War.
Russia could turn much of Ukraine remotely with weapon of mass destruction. It is not doing so.
Obviously, the World shall condemn Russia if it does so. But, so what if it is done ? Can anyone undo the Damage ?
It is not done because the Power is mindful of humanities and morality. Good for all to have sensibility.

IT SHALL BE GREAT FOR HUMANITY IF THE YOUNGER GENERATIONS EMBRACE PEACEFUL CO-EXISTENCE AND WORK TOWARDS PROSPERING THEIR LIVE.

  2. Unfortunately the one pulling the trigger of war is not the young but a few psychopath in power. Just a few evil men or women to decide war or peace.

  4. In his first State of the Union speech, United States President Joe Biden said President Vladimir Putin must "pay a price" for his actions as he announced a ban on Russian flights entering US airspace.

Everyone so garang, wants to clobber the other. Young one, old one, big one, small one, wanting to prove who is bigger and stronger.

  5. SINGAPORE IS LIKELY TARGETED WITH 2 OR 3 WARHEADS BY BOTH SIDES.

Effects of a SINGLE nuclear warhead on Singapore (a nuclear missile can carry up to 10 independent warheads)

370,000 immediate deaths & incinerations into vapour.

1.5M injuries, most of whom will die lingering deaths over the next 12 months.

  6. But not to worry.

Overwhelming chances that the world will continue to party on & get richer & richer.

There are now 526,000 US-dollar millionaires in Singapore. This is excluding their residential homes.

    4,206 with at least US$30M.

    28 with at least US$1B.

Even Haidilao's 52-yr old billionaire Singaporean founder has decided to step down as CEO & take things easier.

Time to enjoy the money & prepare good, better, best life for children.

  7. This war is not about NATO or America. It's about a despot's waning power at home to provide a European, Japanese, or even S.Korean standard of living to his people. Starting a war by appealing to race, nationalism, and religion is the last resort of a losing autocrat. Ukraine will sadly lose this conflict. If eventually the UN, EU and Nato world is unable to maintain a rules based system or a impose a heavy punitive series of sanctions on Russia, Singaporeans will have to sacrifice our wealth and time to commit more to our defence in case Malaysia, Indonesia or China become our adversary.

  9. Please note the difference between 'rule based system' and international(UN) rule of law.

Rule based system is American rule system ie the Americans say right, then it is right, Americans say wrong, it is wrong.

The sanction against Russia is based on rule based system, ie the Americans said so.

It is not a sanction approved by the UN.

All American lackeys like to quote, rule based system. Beware of the source and meaning.

  10. What happens when the largest atomic bomb drops on Singapore.

    3.8 million deaths.

2.9 million injuries, most of whom will die, just slowly.

  11. UN can never sanction anything on 5 countries: US, Russia, China, UK, France.

They are the 5 main founding countries of UN and given special privilege to have permanent seat on Security Council.

Hence they will ALWAYS VETO any UN resolution or sanction that is against themselves.

PAP learn from UN also. Smart right? Lol.

  12. Singapore has to understand who makes the rules and use that to our advantage.

  13. Singapore's independence & sovereignty is also based on America's rule based system.

Our independence Articles are registered & filed with UN & supported by *MOST* UN members in 1965.

Even the Malaysia-Singapore Water Agreement is registered at the UN, and Singapore's stance is well known to the world that any unilateral breaking of the agreement by M'sia is a declaration of war.

The SAF's first war plans have always been the invasion of JB & the securing of the Linggiu Reservoir up to the Batu Pahat-Kluang-Mersing line.

Battle exercises up to today such as hill & strategic crossing assaults, FIBUA of towns, beach assaults & followup invasions, commando night insertions, assassinations & sabotage, commando riverine raids, etc are all for a single purpose.

  14. The US and NATO have never been sanctioned for starting wars. Why?

The reaction to Russia’s attack on Ukraine, no matter what you think about it, has exposed the West’s and Singapore's double standards

The West has taken an extreme stance against Russia over its invasion in Ukraine. This reaction exposes a high degree of hypocrisy considering that US-led wars abroad never received the punitive response they deserved.

If the current events in Ukraine have proven anything, it’s that the United States and its transatlantic partners are able to run roughshod across a shell-shocked planet – in Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, and Syria, to name a few of the hotspots – with almost total impunity. Meanwhile, Russia and Vladimir Putin are being portrayed in nearly every mainstream media publication today as the second coming of Nazi Germany for their actions in Ukraine.

There must be a convincing reason for a country to authorize the use of force, thereby committing itself to what could be considered ‘a just war’. Thus, the question: Can Russia’s actions today be considered ‘just’ or, at the very least, understandable?

In his now-famous speech to the Munich Security Conference in 2007, Vladimir Putin poignantly asked the assembled global powerbrokers point blank, “why is it necessary to put military infrastructure on our borders during this [NATO] expansion? Can someone answer this question?” Later in the speech, he said that expanding military assets smack up to the Russian border “is not connected in any way with the democratic choices of individual states.”

The real cause for Moscow’s alarm came when the US and NATO began flooding neighboring Ukraine with a dazzling array of sophisticated weaponry amid calls for membership in the military bloc. What on earth could go wrong? In Moscow’s mind, Ukraine was beginning to pose an existential threat to Russia.

In December, Moscow, quickly nearing the end of its patience, delivered draft treaties to the US and NATO, demanding they halt any further military expansion eastwards, including by the accession of Ukraine or any other states. It included the explicit statement that NATO “shall not conduct any military activity on the territory of Ukraine or other states of Eastern Europe, South Caucasus and Central Asia.” Once again, Russia’s proposals were met with arrogance and indifference by Western leaders.

It’s not like Russia woke up on February 24 and suddenly decided it was a wonderful day to start a military operation on the territory of Ukraine.

  15. Russia are on nuclear war highest alert. The western world may think that Russia are faking. Russia may respond by making it a real things by nuking Japan if got provoked. If USA can nuke japan, why can't Rusia? Following USAs' example only mah. Japan should beware. Ha ha, every countries in the world would become mute when that happened.

  16. Becoz of this cockanathan situation, Japan is considering allowing US to base nuclear missiles & other nuclear weapons in Japan. Just like how Belarus has just allowed Russia to base nuclear missiles in Belarus. Way to go!!! Perhaps Singapore will soon have a nuclear missile regiment also.

  17. Japan was the only country ever got nuked. USA was also the only country ever nuked a country. It was recorded in history, USA exploded 2 atomic bombs in Japan. Would USA allow Japan to have nuclear bombs? Would USA take risks on Japan not to retardiated their humination? USA should be awared that Japanese are worshipping their war heroes every years.

  18. Becoz of this war, most countries will be increasing war spending. Including Singapore, ASEAN, Japan, South Korea, Germany, France, Italy, UK, Oz.

Even Japan is willing to consider hosting US nuclear missiles on its soil.

Btw, South Korea used to host US tactical nuclear missiles in the 1960s-1980s.

    War stocks, baby, war stocks!
