AI no future in Europe and America

LONDON — Using artificial intelligence software for mass surveillance and ranking social behavior could soon be outlawed in Europe, according to draft legislation that has been shared online.

The 81-page document, which was first reported by Politico, says “indiscriminate surveillance of natural persons should be prohibited when applied in a generalized manner to all persons without differentiation.”

It adds the methods of surveillance could include monitoring and tracking of people in digital and physical environments. CNBC

The above document says it all. There is no future for further development and advancement of AI's in Europe and America. In the name of freedom and violation of privacy, AI could not make further inroads into these countries.  They have tied their hands and legs on the progress of AIs and would curtailed further advances in the use of AI in their countries.

AI is the new frontier of science and technology that would bridge the human intelligence with machine intelligence. AI would change every aspect of human lives and the price is privacy. If individual privacy is the shield to stop AI from engaging in the reordering of human activities, then this shield will be the wall to prevent AI from changing and facilitating lives in a way unimaginable. Individual privacy would be the chain that would not allow western liberal societies and countries to take full advantage of what AI could do to improve their lives, how to reorganise their lives to free human from their basic chores that AI, robotics and machine could do.

The Americans and Europeans would forfeit their chances of moving ahead with the rest of the world in the facilitating the widespread use of AI. They would miss the 4th Industrial Revolution by default, by their own choice. There is no free lunch. Something must give if AI is to be embraced fully. Not doing so would limit the full advantage AI could bring to benefit civilisation.

Here you go. No one is forcing the West not to embrace AI. They are tying their own hands and legs and voluntarily choose to stay behind in this field of science and technology. God works in his own mysterious way to hold back the western civilisation, through Covid19 and their arrogance and pride to use their very own untested and dangerous vaccines and refusing to use tested vaccines of others, and now playing with their own evil card, called individual freedom and privacy and also refusing to use Huawei's 5G and coming 6G technology. So let it be.

  1. Covid-19: New, More Dangerous Variant BA-2

Be on the alert for the Omicron sub-variant BA-2.

A medical research/study from the Japan's Covid-19 Researchers has shown that the BA-2 variant (with slight similarity but almost totally different from the Omicron variant) is not only highly transmissible but also causes severe illness and death.

Do not wait until severe symptoms appear before seeing a doctor. It may be too late.

Despite the high-rate of vaccination and boosters in Japan, and every other countries that used the mRNA "vaccines", many people are still severely infected and many have succumbed to the virus's rampaging devastation.

When an individual is PCR-tested positive, he is not able to know which variant of the Covid-19 that has infested his body. More lab tests are required in order to find out.

Many countries' so-called experts committees are still bogged down with trying to learn more about the Delta and Omicron variants. Some of them are so Covid-19 fatigued or fattened that they are totally switched off. And they are neglecting to pay more attention to the more dangerous BA-2 variant, which should be given a different Greek letter-name by now. Even the WHO has more or less switched off.

Moreover, the ART testing is unable to detect the BA-2 variant. This is worrying.

So, be very alert and careful.

  2. They are using AI intensively. But without a proper functioning 5G, they would lag behind in many areas. Speed alone would be a very critical factor.

Hope they would stick to their pride and not to use Huawei's technology. Africa and Latin America are also starting to use Huawei's 5G and would leapfrog the West in this area. China is running away far ahead in 6G.

5G, Ai, high speed train, space, quantum technology, crypto currency etc would be the watershed where China takes off and leaving the West behind, by their own choosing.

  3. The police are following up with opposition Workers’ Party (WP) chairman Sylvia Lim (Aljunied GRC) regarding her claim that she received a threat warning from Apple indicating her iPhone could be the target of hacking by state-sponsored attackers.

This is a “very serious” allegation, with potential implications on national security, said the Singapore Police Force (SPF) on Saturday (Feb 19).

    1. Looks like the Police are saying that they have been sleeping for so long until they suddenly wake up and realise that this is a "very serious" issue only after Sylvia Lim reported it to the Parliament!???

    2. Governments from many countries have purchased the Pegasus Spying software from Israel to spy on their own citizens. This is an indisputable fact that has been widely known.

Since the Singapore government's relationship with the Israeli government is unquestionably very close for years, it not wrong to assume that the Israeli company that produces the Pegasus Spying software would have approached the Singapore government or government related entities, private or public, to hard sell its Pegasus Spying software in one way or another, in one form or another, directly or indirectly.

Perhaps, the SAF, MSD, SID or even the PAP, as well as Temasek could have bought or tested the Pegasus Spying software?

And someone could have been picked as one of the testing targets as a guinea-pig?

Or, perhaps Sylvia Lim was targeted by a foreign country, eg. USA?

  4. Do not be fooled by the lies. They are already using surveillance cameras all round street corners for decades. Now that China is one step ahead in this field, they want to make it illegal. Because they could not compete? What about their claims that their satellites are able to spot faces from outer space? That is not surveillance? Be patient, All will be walked back in time, when the benefits outweigh the hubris.

Remember, they were fabricating all kinds of doomsday issues with 5G initially? Why are they now going into 5G, and even tinkering with 6G, when it is so dangerous? Suddenly, the danger of 5G has vanished just because they are going into it? What a load of hypocritical rubbish.

There were many things they demonised because they were behind China in development and production. Solar panels had so much negative issues in the USA but not elsewhere. Windmills for generating electricity had been accused by Trump of killing birds. How many birds have the Dutch killed over the centuries? Then Trump tried to kill electric vehicles sales in the USA by threatening those who wants to buy electric vehicles. All because Trump is under the control of the fossil fuel lobby, their contributions to his campaigns and his own personal interest.

They even painted all kinds of doomsday scenario of dam construction in China, citing environmental issues. There are thousands of dams in the USA and those are not causing environmental issues? By the way, how many dams have burst in the USA over the years? How many nuclear plants abandoned due to leakage issues? If those happened in China, you can be sure it will elicit a falling sky!

  5. Canada has resorted to emergency law to clamp down on the truckers. The truckers have not destroyed Government properties, resorted to terrorist acts and riots, which had been rampant during the unrest in Hong Kong.

When Hong Kong tried to pass such emergency laws to curb the violence, the USA and the West including Canada had accused the Hong Kong Government under China of stamping on human rights. Isn't Canada also violating human rights with their emergency law? Did the USA and the West, particularly the UK, condemn such action by Trudeau? Double standard as usual?

I am surprise that Canada has not yet blamed China for the truckers protest!

  6. Using Huawei's 5G, the USA cannot spy on other world leaders. That is the paramount issue, not that it threatens anyone else's national security. Their development of 5G under joint Nokia and Ericson is fraught with problems, most recently interfering with planes electronics. This is a serious issue.

There is also the huge cost of dismantling Huawei's infrastructure and installing new ones, on top of having to compensate Huawei for breaching contracts and prevented from using Huawei's 5G patents, and now having to pay Huawei if they wanted to use them..

Little wonder Huawei is still standing, reaping in all the benefits and laughing all the way to the bank. What does not kill Huawei will make it stronger. And stronger is is becoming, diversifying into territories now dominated by the West, South Korea and Japan.

I think it was Zhou En Lai (correct me if I am mistaken) who said "When others don't give you a way to go, we will make a way for ourselves".

And it was Chairman Mao who said "Kruschev's help is the reason why China's missile and atomic bomb have made great achievements. His decision to remove experts forces us to go our own way. We should give him a medal".

Now those are quotations that the USA and the West must think deeply and keep in mind, when talking about China moving in the direction of chip sufficiency. Sure, they are still behind in high end chips, but give them 5 to 10 years and China will catch up. That is the Chinese way of hitting back. That is the Chinese resolve. Never underestimate it! It has been proven time and again.

  7. Today is a wonderful day as Putin move Russian troops to Ukraine to re-take the ex-USSR state - the first necessary step towards engineering a new multi-polar global order and re-write the international rules that were set by and favoring the hegemonic US and its Western allies after they won the Cold War.

  8. Don't worry, the west are using the rest of the world as testing ground for AI surveillance, tracking, targeting, execution, prediction, big data, analytics.

Singapore is a reliable mini-testbed for densely-packed urban city scenarios & test cases. Results of our own military, secret intelligence, law enforcement AI methods on sinkies will be shared with western & Israeli spy agencies, military, and military industrial complex for cross-learning, cross-sharing and further development & improvement of technologies.

Our own S'pore AI tech is also being tested in various other countries (mostly 3rd world) and the results monitored & fed back to us, so we can improve our own capabilities.

In case you didn't know, Singapore's own military industrial complex used to test many weapon systems overseas, supplying automatic weapons, mines, missiles, targeting systems, armored vehicles, smart artillery shells etc to wars in Africa & SE Asia (mostly against guerillas & rebels).

  10. Already we are being destroyed by technology. Propaganda on TV, children hooked on computers, adults cannot live without handphones and all living with dark circles around their eyes. Oh yes again the advantages outweigh the risk...

Parents and grandparents complain about children sitting too long at computer terminals playing games and talking on their mobile phones, while they themselves are at it themselves. Is this not destroying human lives?

The cons always follow the pros.

  12. Singapore got S$18.8 million to give Indonesians who Just Bought 42 French Rafale fighter planes and weapons for US$8.1 Billion, and still raise GST on Singaporeans citing spending needs

Singapore on Monday (Feb 21) gave Indonesia medical supplies and equipment worth over 200 billion rupiah (S$18.8 million) to help the country fight against a surge of Covid-19 cases driven by the Omicron variant.

Temasek Foundation International chief executive Benedict Cheong handed over 697 ventilators and one million masks to Indonesia Ambassador to Singapore Suryo Pratomo in Singapore.

Of the total aid, 418 ventilators and 600,000 masks were given to the Indonesian military, while the rest will be distributed to hospitals and front-line workers by the National Police.

Yet the imbeciles use our taxpayers money of S$18.8 million to glorify the Temasek Foundation International, indirectly glorifying Huli Jinx..

  14. @ Silly western govts

Dun worry. A.I. R&D will still continue in those “woke” western demo-crazies. Why?

Money, that’s why. The private sector will continue to scream ahead, even though te govts & various legislatures will disallow AI fr urveillance and tracking. Good luck on that. Meta (FaceBook) already has the largest database of people and their lives voluntarily handed over by Sheeple who love “free stuff”.

Google, another private enterprise has mapped out the ENTIRE EARTH…it didn’t even bother to ask for permission. Alphabet (Google) is digitizing ALL the books ever published and not paying copyright.

More than half of all news and media reports are now written by A.I., rendering most jounalists and editors obselete.

AI replaces humans—-big time. This drives the marginal cost of usage down to ZERO. Those “human jobs” will never return. Forget globalisation. Automation is the onee that won’t just “take away” jobs it will totally destroy them.
