China Will Stockpile Missiles To Strike 2nd Island Chain Targets Such As Australia

US Department of Defense released on Tuesday an unclassified version of the 2021 Global Posture Review (GPR) revealing plans to improve airfields construction in Guam and Australia, including adding more facilities to store fuel and ammunition, which could provide reinforcements of warplanes and military personnel in a short time to "counter China's military buildup and more assertive use of power."

If a war breaks out between China and the US, it is unlikely to end with a few warships of both countries fighting each other at sea. The strengthening of US strongpoints in the second island chain shows how big the potential range is if there is a military conflict between China and the US in the Taiwan Straits or the South China Sea.

The past two years has seen the US mentioning less about the construction of strongpoints in the first island chain. This is not only because the first island chain is already well built but also because the US likely no longer counts on the first island chain.

As US preparations now have already included the capacity of military mobilization outside the region, China's military preparedness now needs to build a credible conventional capability to strike those strategic points in the second island chain of the US.

US allies in the Asia-Pacific region, such as Australia, are taking the initiative to strengthen their ties with the US. They have also shown an eagerness to support US forces in their operations against the PLA some day in the future.

Those strategic points should know that the moment they are involved in supporting US deterrence against China, they will become targets of China's counter-deterrence. If they ever become the fulcrum of US attacks on Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) around China, they will become part of an expanded battlefield.

The US has many allies and many overseas military bases, so its military buildup against China can be all-around. Meanwhile, China faces many obstacles to establishing new military positions. Such a situation can hardly be changed in a short period of time. Therefore, China must have a strong capability to make the US military positions within the second island chain harmless in times of war to achieve a balance between China and the US. In other words, to make them harmless, the Chinese military should either deter those strongpoints from going against China, or destroy them in one fell swoop.

Australia is extremely reckless and arrogant in terms of strategy against China. This is typical of the racist politicians in Canberra. As Australia is ready to follow the US and get involved in a war in the Taiwan Straits, as well as to use US bases in Australia as a springboard for their involvement in the war, then it is putting its own national security at stake.

As China lacks overseas military bases, it is vital to greatly develop and stockpile a significant number of missiles that can strike targets in the second island chain. Those missiles are not costly and can strike from a distance, so they are quite cost-effective. It can be said that in whatever positions the US and its allies are preparing for attacks against China, Chinese missiles should be ready to target those points.

  1. Not to worry. The Russians have already proven their ability to neutralise military satellites providing guidance for missiles, anti missiles and planes in times of war. These will be flying or searching blind in times of war for incoming missiles.

For all we know, such missiles could even be misguided to land on their own territory and targets, causing self inflicted damage. War takes on a different new meaning and stockpiles of missiles will serve a new purpose for the enemy.

  2. A Teochew saying: 'Si turh keck toin sai' meaning 'A soon to be dead pig still trying to eject a pile of hard poo'.

Just look at the situation in the USA home turf. People living in tents, in cars, in cheap motels and huge mansions left to rot in deplorable conditions all over the landscape, with no resource to rebuild. Can the USA afford building more military hardware besides the trillions needed for the infrastructure projects promised by Biden? Another bluff that will die a natural death after Sleepy Joe leaves office. The planning will take another Presidential Term to take shape.

Again, just listen to the EU leader telling the world that the EU is capable and able to spend billions to upgrade facilities of member countries around the region. Why have they not done that and just boasting about the situation belatedly, all to counter the BRI facilities taking shape and putting them to shame. BRI is now a reality, while the EU promise is not even in the approval stage. Does the EU really have that much money? It will also die of old age.

    1. That is EU's political leadership's hidden cunning scheme to make money for themselves out of money from the masses of member States. Nothing else.

  3. Two NASA astronauts were set to embark on a spacewalk on Thursday to replace a faulty antenna on the International Space Station (ISS), after a 48-hour delay prompted by an orbital debris alert later deemed to be of no concern.

The outing is the fifth spacewalk for Marshburn, 61, a medical doctor and former flight surgeon with two previous trips to orbit, and a first for Barron, 34, a U.S. Navy submarine officer and nuclear engineer on her debut spaceflight for NASA.

Their objective is to remove a defective S-band radio communications antenna assembly, now more than 20 years old, and replace it with a spare stowed outside the space station.

If they don't close the ISS soon, anytime this piece of scrap in space would break apart or major malfunction and leaving astronauts stranded in space and left to die.

  4. Why bother to install a new antenna when the ISS is supposed to be decommissioned soon?

  5. It was supposed to be decommissioned 2 years ago but extended because if they don't, then all the American astronauts would be all dressed up but no where to go.

To make things worse, the Chinese and Russians would be flying to the CSS and looking down at them.

Poor chaps, now all risking their lives to hang on to a bit of scrap metal in space, everyday hoping and praying that nothing bad would happen or the piece of scrap metal would become their coffin in space. They would become the first space mummies.

  6. Biden's infrastructure reconstruction plan probably includes refurbishing the ISS, which will be bought over from the Russians. Where else would USA astronauts train if not allowed on the CSS. LOL

  7. They can train on the defunct set of 'Armageddon"' now lying somewhere in the studios of Hollywood.

Why not? They crafted the Moon Landing there as well.

  8. The Days Of Dollar Hegemony Are Numbered!

Use of PetroRMB is on the rise as more countries shun the petrodollar.

  9. Why Must We Continue To Trust In The US Dollar?

The US Dollar has become totally of no value because of the incessant and continuous generating, printing and distributing of the worthless US money from the US Mint to cover the US Government spending by the $Trillions every year, without gold or anything to back it up.

Why are the governments of the other countries of the world still accept the USD as a medium of exchange in businesses, finance and trade?

Don't the various finance ministers and finance secretaries know that the USD is totally worthless already?

Don't the numerous bankers in the world know that the USD is just a false facet of value and nothing else?

Perhaps, old habits are hard to die?

Perhaps, some countries' leaders have been squeezed by the balls, or blackmailed?

Perhaps, some politicians are playing politics because they wish to stay favourably in the eyes of Washington D.C.?

Perhaps, most countries' people have been brain-washed until they have become obedient robots addicted to the US petrodollar?

Last but not least, most probably, perhaps many corrupted leaders and officials have their dirty money invested in USD, bonds, notes, securities, real estates, insurance, etc.?

    Bottom line is:

Why nust we continue to trust in a worthless US Dollar?

    Queen of Hearts.

  10. There are many developments that are going to kill the dollar other than the reckless printing by the Americans, making fools of countries that worked so hard to manufacture products to exchange for papers that the Americans simply print without a sweat.

Why do you think the Americans are against digital currency?

Why do you think the Americans are against going green, against solar energy, green energy, against electric vehicles?

Digital currency will replace the dollar for sure, it would eat into the dollar hegemony when countries use more digital currency than the useless American dollar.

Green energy, electric cars, etc would replace the consumption of oil which is what the American dollar is hooked on. Using lesser oil means lesser consumption of oil, lesser use of American dollar.

Why Elon Musk have to set up the biggest Tesla plant in China? Why the USA is so far behind in EVs? Because it would kill the use of oil, and kill the dollar. Americans are against going green for the same reason. Their support in climate change is a farce. They would want the auto industry to continue to use oil and thus support dollar hegemony.
