As August 26 marks 1,000 days since Huawei's Meng Wanzhou was detained in Canada, the Global Times launched an online petition on Wednesday demanding her immediate release.

The incident is blatant political persecution of a Chinese citizen and another example of the US government's unjustified crackdown on Chinese companies and its attempts to curb the development of China's high-tech industry, according to the petition. In this process, the Canadian government is a willing accomplice, said the petition.

Also on Wednesday, the Global Times released an open letter to Canadian Ambassador to China Dominic Barton, demanding Meng's immediate and unconditional release.  Global Times

The international white gangsters must take note that their lawless behaviour is being watch by the whole world.  They will be made to pay a very heavy price if Meng Wanzhou contnues to be held hostage.  The immediate price to pay will be the lives of 3 Canadians, the two Michaels and a drug trafficker.

Whatever slants they tried to twist, they have abused the laws of Canada and common justice.

  2. Come on Trudeau, be brave, give China a chance to execute the two Michaels. You like to play games, China would play with you, with high stakes.

Can you afford to? China would simply up the stakes. Before China calls all in, you will be broke.

  4. "The immediate price to pay will be the lives of 3 Canadians, ..."

Too little too late. Winston Churchill would have said it again if he is still alive.

  5. Not really. China has a lot of cards to play. Many more Canadian spies in China would be hauled up. China could cut all trade and business with Canada.

Would the stupidity of the boy PM think it is all worth it to extradite a Chinese citizen under the instruction of the Americans and lose more Canadian lives and business deals with China when it has nothing to do with Canada?

They think they can play rough and China would not react.

  6. No need to toy around and play with business deals. China should nuke one minor Canadian city to teach it a lesson. Let the Boy PM then escort Wang to the airport and give her an apology and honourable sending off.

  7. Don't show weakness and wait till September. He might still win. Look what happend to Dotard in 2016. Nuke Canada now.

  8. One arrogant British man who was caught on video going maskless on an MRT train in Singapore earlier this year was sentenced to only six weeks in jail even though he was convicted of several charges, one of which is harassment and another is being a nuisance in public.

The first incident is said to have taken place before May 8, when Benjamin Glynn, 40, had told others on the train with him that he would “never wear a mask”.

When police officers went to his home on May 9 to determine if he was the man in the clip, Glynn had told them that Covid-19 was a hoax and that the vaccine “was bad for human health”.

The fact is that the vaccine is definitely bad for some people's health. So, there is nothing wrong in saying that the vaccine "was bad for human health", is it not?

  10. Should Trudeau be booted out of office, try to arrest him when he is out of Canada and charge him for the wrongful arrest of Meng Wanzhou, make him wear an orange jumpsuit and parade him in Tiananmen Square.

  11. Watch it boy, don't ever leave Canada and come near East.
    You are a wanted man.
    You will be hunted down.

  12. Once Trudeau steps down as a PM, he can be arrested by the Chinese Secret Police for obstruction of justice, kidnapping and violation of human rights, at anywhere convenient, and be sent to Beijing for trial.

China can then sentence him to life imprisonment plus 20 strokes of the cane and a fine of $1 billion.

  13. Even if the Chinese government does not take any action against him, Huawei management has the right to reciprocate the treatment Trudeau has given to Meng Wanchao for the sufferings she has to endure over the last two years.

Alternatively, a third party, possibly a customer of Huawei or a friend of the Meng Family, can pay some professionals to take action to redress the injustice Trudeau has dished out to the CFO of Huawei.

  15. How can a petition be considered seriously if it is signed by anonymous people? No one can verify if the signatures are genuine. I think CGTN doesn't know how a petition works because there are no petitions in China.

  16. If no names on pg 1 can straight send to the recycle bin. No need to look at the numbers.
That is the facts, bro. Cheers.

  17. China must tell Trudeau with no uncertain terms, if Meng Wanzhou is not returned to China, they can forget about seeing the two Michaels again. And if Meng is to be extradited to the US, the two Michaels will be executed. Period.

  18. The rogue Americans and the silly boy PM must know that China has not escalate this to the next level yet. If they continue to escalate, a declaration of war with Canada is on the card.

The bottom line is Meng Wanzhou must return to China. Anything else is not acceptable.
