Living Harmoniously With COVID-19

The slightest moment you are off-guard, the Coronavirus knows it and exploits it to the fullest. You just can't be careless. You just can't be indifferent. You just can't be gangho. Let's face it, you just can't outsmart the Coronavirus. To illustrate:

On Saturday, 120 casualties.

On Sunday, 172 casualties.

On Monday, 195 casualties.

Tuesday, i.e. today's result will only be known tomorrow. I should think it would exceed 200.

Tomorrow is Racial Harmony Day.

There will be big celebrations everywhere, especially in primary schools and childcare centres.

These big celebrations will definitely make the COVID-19 coronavirus very happy. It is going to have an even bigger celebration and a bigger feasting!

After the big celebrations, the Racial Harmony will include Coronavirus Harmony. The casualties may increase to 400? This is called living harmoniously with COVID-19.

Stupidity has no cure.

The higher they are educated, the more stupid they become, where Coronavirus are concerned.

Still want the people to live with COVID-19?

  1. What a bunch of dickheads..if the government swab 20000++ of the population n don't expect a discovery as more n more people are swabbed?? The real test is after they finish swabbing whether the numbers will grow!! I daresay the numbers will decrease after the initial round of swabbing is done.
So what is the most common denominator which nobody is talking about..after all talking about seedy k'ok joints n vietbus is more titillating.. the cases from the school suggest as much..ITS THE PUBLIC TRANSPORT DUMBO!!
You want to be really scared? Swab the daily commuters and see the numbers do a Jeff bezos!! All the places and food centres that has covid traces..how they get there ah.. go figure!!

  2. CECA is like COVID-19, or even Worse

The humans that entered Singapore merge with the local people like the coronavirus.

Once they have entered the country, it is very difficult to get rid of them. They simply spread wider and wider.

Once one of them becomes the CEO or Human Resource Officer, Manager or Director, he will bring into that organisation more and more of his own kind, like the coronavirus multiplying and duplicating itself again and again.

They live together with the local people like the coronavirus.

They eat together with the local people like the coronavirus.

They play together with the local people like the coronavirus.

They are so stealthy like the coronavirus.

They work behind the back unseen like the coronavirus.

They want all of us dead, or close our businesses, or lose our jobs like the coronavirus.

Even worse than the coronavirus, they want to take over our country!

  3. With the social media flooded with anti foreigners comments, would the imbeciles still think they could go on importing all the shit with no consequences in the next GE?

They could not claim ignorant as the people have spoken. They cannot pretend that no one complain what, so everything is fine. Now the tons of complains could fill up a whole library and they cannot hide or pretend they did not hear.

The message from the people is loud and clear.

  4. The imbeciles treat the COVID-19 Invasion the same way as they treat the CECA Invasion. Stubbornly clinging onto their blunders made at the beginning and refusing to admit their mistakes.

If leaders don't admit mistakes made, they will never learn their lessons. They will continue to make the same mistakes again and again.

  5. Yesterday, I predicted at least 200 casualties for Tuesday.

At noon today, the preliminary count for yesterday was reported as 181. By this evening, I think the count could exceed 200 easily, unless the test labs have been instructed to slow down their works or some of the technical assistants have gone on Hari Raya leave.

  6. From Ho Ching:

I suspect that even if Sinovac is authorised for Sg on the pandemic access route, it does not make sense to treat it as a high efficacy vaccine.

With the Delta, we would want a more effective, rather than a less effective vaccine, esp for older folks.

Perhaps we should require that folks taking the Sinovac be tested for antibody response 1 and 4 months after their 2nd shot.

This is bcos even the well organised Turkey trials of Sinovac for 18-59 year olds, show no detectable antibodies for 14~15% of folks 50-59 years old, and similarly for males aged 40-49.

This does not cover the level of antibodies for those with detectable antibodies.

We know from the published data from the Phase 1 and Phase 2 trials that 2 shots of 3ug of the Coronavac from Sinovac produces about 0.3 times the level of antibodies found in a recovered patient.

So having detectable antibodies doesn’t mean we have enough to protect us from infection or severe illness, esp if we are older.

So it is best that we do antibody test, to check.

If the antibody levels are poor, we should do a 3rd booster. Better still, do a 3rd shot with a different vaccine, say of a SinoPharm or a Bharat inactivated vaccine if we are still scared of the A* grade of mRNA vaccines.

Ideally, older folks should go for the mRNA vaccines for better protection esp against the Delta variant.

For those with strong antibody levels, do a repeat antibody test 3 months later, ti check the speed of decline.

Ideally, do a neutralising antibody test.

This helps check if we have the kind of antibodies that prevents infection.

In Sg, we have CPass test available for checking neutralising antibody levels, or inhibition levels.

Go vaccinate before it’s too late.

    1. She is now self-appointed Acting Prime Minister, over-shadowing her PM husband?

Why is she behaving like that?

All the vaccines were purchased by Temasek Holdings and now half of them have no takers.

Unlike the Chinese vaccines, Pfizer vaccines have to be stored @ minis 70 degrees below zero. And cannot store for too long.

So, now very desperate, is it?

  7. Is China covid free?

    From Mdm Ho

They have maintained an extremely strict border control since their Wuhan outbreak last year, and have not relaxed yet.

They know vaccines like Sinovac are not very effective.

But they also know that practically speaking, there won’t be enough mRNA vaccines to go around, including mRNA vaccines that Chinese biotech companies are developing and trialling.

So they bit the bullet to start vaccinating knowing that something is better than nothing.

However, they continue to maintain a strict border control regime.

Despite that, the highly infectious Delta variant has slipped through to cause pockets of outbreaks.

So this comparison about developed countries having outbreaks doesn’t hold water.

The developed countries mistook Covid for SARS, and were complacent early last year, and never got to a state of eradication.

They are also continuing with much more open borders, despite horrific experience last March/April of overwhelmed hospitals much like what we saw in Wuhan in Jan/Feb.

    1. Frankly speaking, whatever Ho Ching writes does not carry any weight here, even if she is the CEO of Temasek Holidays. (Except to her balls-carriers and lapdogs, of course.)

As the wife of the PM, it is better for her not to interfere with the government's role and responsibilities in any way or any form, at any time, whatsoever.

She should follow in the footsteps of Mrs Lee Kuan Yew when she was alive. She should just shut up and mind her own business.

The more she opens her mouth to interfere with the running of the country, the more she is looked down upon or despised by the masses. In Asian societies, the public traditionally do not like to see the wife oversteps or overshadows the role of her husband in public office, whether he is the Emperor, King, President or Prime Minister of a country, or the Chairman or CEO of an organisation.

    2. To others' perception, Ho Ching is interfering with the works of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Those countries that she has commented about will not take what she said lightly. They will also not take them as her personal opinions. They will take whatever she says, rightly or wrongly, as official statements of the Prime Minister of Singapore spoken through his wife.

This is very serious and important because her comments can be perceived as criticisms, thereby lead to political and diplomatic tensions between Singapore and other countries.

  10. After Temasek dumped people's money there. Greed said, "Not enough, must dump more money there."

Now, GIC (Greediest Investment Corporation) also start dumping more money there.

Modus operandi: If lost money, then say it's looong looooong term investment for 30 years.

In 30 years time, whether made or lost, by that time, those who made the decisions to dump the people's money there had already been rewarded, promoted and posted out, retired or dead.

So, who take responsibility for failures? Nobody.

    Smart or cunning?

  14. Hong-Kong is Hong-Kong. It is a city. Unlike Singapore.

Singapore is Singapore. It is a state not city. Unlike Hong-Kong.

Singapore can only be compared with small states like Brunei or Kuwait, not with cities.

Other cities do not have the over-staffed, luxurious, full complement of an overpaid government like Singapore.

  15. There is a saying, when you owe the bank some money, you are at the mercy of the bank.
But when you owe the bank a lot of money, the bank is at your mercy.

When you put so much money into a basket, you are at the mercy of the basket. You better pray that the basket does not become a basket case. You even have to make sure the basket does not break. You have to pay to jaga the basket.
