As travel restrictions prevail, a petition has popped up on Change.org urging the Singapore government to allow vaccinated individuals from India to enter the country.
The petition, titled “Ease Travel Restrictions for Vaccinated ‘Indian’ with Singapore“, has garnered over 4,300 signatures at the time of writing.
Specifically, the petition seeks to have Indian travellers with valid work, student, or dependent visas or holders of other passes to be allowed to enter Singapore if they can provide a government-issued vaccination certificate on the Indian government’s end....
The situation in India, the petition claimed, has “improved a lot” as new daily COVID-19 cases have been “significantly reduced” recently, coupled with the “accelerating” drive to vaccinate the population....
In April, the COVID-19 pandemic started to spiral out of control as the country faced a new wave of infections, with new cases being reported at over 300,000 each day
Above is quoted from TOC. Apparently more than 4,000 have signed the petition. Not sure how many Singaporeans were among the 4,000+ that signed. Any thinking Singaporean would be asking, are the numbers reported in India true, the situation has improved? What is the situation now, acceptable?
Another question, how many would believe the certificates for vaccination are real, not fakes?
How many of you would think it is a good thing, a wise thing, to sign this petition?
Vaccinated People May Spread Delta Variant, U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Says - WSJ July 30, 2021
ReplyDeleteVaccinated people infected with the Delta variant might be as contagious as those who are unvaccinated , the CDC says, and urged Americans to start wearing masks again.
The change in guidance has prompted local officials and employers across the country to reassess mask and vaccination policies. Walmart Inc. said it would reinstate a mask mandate for workers in U.S. counties deemed at high risk of Covid-19 transmission.
“High viral loads suggest an increased risk of transmission and raised concern that, unlike with other variants, vaccinated people infected with Delta can transmit the virus,” CDC Director Rochelle Walensky said Friday. “This finding is concerning and was a pivotal discovery leading to CDC’s updated mask recommendation.”
An internal CDC slide presentation earlier this week described the Delta variant as infectious as chickenpox, which used to sicken some four million Americans a year before a vaccine became available in the mid-1990s. The Delta variant is more transmissible than the common cold, seasonal flu and smallpox, but less contagious than measles, according to the presentation, which was first reported in the Washington Post.
Rb u must be joking lar to sign the petition
ReplyDeleteIt has been reported in the USA that more than three quarters of infected people at mass events have in fact been fully vaccinated, and this is a very concerning matter. Vaccination has given those people the false idea of immunity. The vaccine cannot prevent infection against the Indian Delta Variant which is spreading rapidly in many countries. The outlook is grim, with Myanmar, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia and even Vietnam badly affected.
ReplyDeleteCountries that thought that mass vaccination will prevent infections are mistaken. They will pay a heavy price by throwing all cautions to the wind by opening without distancing or wearing mask thinking they are immune to infection.
Meanwhile in China it was reported that the Indian Delta Variant had been traced to a cargo plane that brought in the virus. That means beside humans, cargoes moving from country to country are also part of the spreading process. How do they ensure cargoes are safe to be imported from highly infected countries?
If not for the Delta variant originated from India because of incompetent handling that led to mutation, the world would be in a much safer place from Covid.
DeleteHow is this for irony- the Indian MSM, politicians and Internet trolls are still calling this the Wuhan Virus.
Does the Jurong Fishery Port cluster, which was thought to have originated from Indonesia, tell us anything? The blame is on the Indonesian fishermen who brought in the catch. What about the catch itself, the seafood?
ReplyDeleteValid certs of vaccination? Will it work? Anything could be forged, like fake degrees. The Authorities better open their eyes.
ReplyDeleteNo imported cases, then no virus in Singapore. So, whose fault?
ReplyDeleteIndia is famous for providing fake degrees, fake testimonials, fake qualifications and fake education and IT certificates.
ReplyDeleteProducing fake Vaccination Certificates is even easier.
Our Ministry of Manpower took six years to discover and charge the Indians who used fake degrees to deceive their employers as well as our immigration authority and ministry of manpower.
How is Changi Airport staff and customs officers able to verify whether the Vaccination Certificates are fake or not, at short notice?
Anyway, those who have been vaccinated can also be infected. In fact, they are the ones who will let their guards down and can be infected more easily than those not vaccinated yet. And they carry the coronavirus with them going around doing whatever they want without showing any symptoms. They are the most dangerous and super spreaders.
The Singapore authorities should be as cautious and weary of these vaccinated people as the Unvaccinated people. Especially so with people from South Asia, specifically from India, petition or not.
Have gun will travel?
ReplyDeleteCan you all remember the movie "Have Gun Will Travel"?
These entitled Indians from South Asia thinks that by having a unreliable and unverified "valid" vaccination certificate, they can travel wherever they like.
It is the same as using their unreliable and unverified "valid" vaccination certificate as a gun to point at the heads of our Immigration officers to allow them to come into Singapore to spread their Type Delta variant of the COVID-19.
The Singapore government must stand firm and not succumb to this kind of entitlement attitude, behaviour and character.
The problem is not the Indians. They can do what they like and fake anything they want.
ReplyDeleteThe real problem is silly governments that chose to look the other way and pretend all is fine and let them in with their fake certificates, academic and medical.
Do not blame the Indians. Blame those that facilitated them to cheat at our expense.
USA classified North Korean as one of the evil countries. With the Delta variants originated from India. It is more serious than the evil countries. Sg still wanted to import peoples from a failed country is playing with fire. Moron millionaire's MIW had to be blamed.
DeleteFrom the New York Times report on Friday:
ReplyDelete"The Delta variant of the coronavirus is as contagious as chickenpox and could cause severe illness, according to an internal document at the United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
The variant has been blamed for the explosion of infections not only in the US, but also across the world, including in several Southeast Asian countries where cases have surged overwhelming healthcare systems.
The variant is also more likely to break through protections afforded by the vaccines.
The CDC’s decision to reverse course on masking guidelines for fully vaccinated citizens on Tuesday is based on the document.
The agency had previously said the vaccinated did not need to wear masks indoors."
Therefore, vaccinated or not, the same cautious precautions must still be maintained. Vaccination may protect the person vaccinated in a limited way but cannot protect the other people from being infected by the vaccinated person who can still be a silent carrier of the deadly Delta Variant.
Many scientists and doctors have warned us about this. Mow, the US CDC also reported about this danger and has reversed the decision of allowing vaccinated people not to wear masks.
Precautions are better than cures and chasing after the tail of the coronavirus like a blue-ass fly.
To the Multi-Ministry Task Force:
Lessons and experiences in the past must not be thrown away. Those are your hindsight. Use them and stop lamenting about not having hindsight.
Are infections in India really falling? Believe if you like!
ReplyDeleteIn early 2020 Modi even claimed that India has defeated the virus, only to see infections soaring like a rocket and killing millions, which they still deny.
If falling spread is because of less testing, that may be true, but is still pulling wool over people's eyes. Trump said it long ago that by testing fewer people they will have lower infections to report. How ingenious but dumb. He fooled no one else and instead shot his own foot and causing more than 600,000 deaths. Even that is suspicious, knowing that lying, cheating and stealing is their official motto, straight from the Hog's mouth.
Over my dead body would I sign this petition.
ReplyDeleteSign this petition? You must be joking!
ReplyDeleteCovid-19 infections in India is said to be more than 68% of the population because the Indian government has claimed than the country has achieved more than 68% herd immunity.
ReplyDelete68% of 1.3 billion population of India is about 800 million people. Therefore, the official figures of infected people in India, given by the Indian government, is grossly under-reported.
The official death tolls causedvby the Covid-19 in India is also grossly under-reported. It should be at least 6 million to 8 million deaths.
That is why they cannot lie. The figures don't add up. Officially they reported only about 32 million. If infections have reached 68% that means about 800 million have been infected.
ReplyDeleteHow to explain the huge difference between 32 million and 800 million? Similarly the death tool, according to outside estimates, is more than 5 million, but they only have the official death toll at slightly above 410,000.
Never trust Indian accounting. And they have the audacity to say that China is not reporting their true figures.

Agreed. Those who are fully vaccinated should be allowed to travel to Singapore. Many of us have been separated from our families, parents, spouses and children etc. for extended period of time and we adjusted to Govt regulations diligently as it was in best interest of everyone and safekeeping of all here in Singapore. Now we have millions of folks vaccinated already in India and millions are getting vaccinated every week as we speak. So it is only fair to unite families and provide some relief to the them and reduce mental trauma and emotional distress faced by hundreds of families. I hope Govt looks at it seriously to maintain the mental health as well as social and family structure integrity in mind when deciding as this will cause long term serious impact to families and society in general.

1. India should be treated same as other countries.
2. Vaccination data gives the comfortable state of situation in India
3. Countries that were open such as Vietnam, Indonesia until few weeks back are also bringing infection then why to treat India differently?
4. The social fabric and support structure in singapore is disturbed leaving people in stress of handling work, home, kids specially working women those need family support
According to Johns Hopkins website statistics, only 7.31% pf Indians have been fully vaccinated. Can we be sure those Indians coming in with vaccination certs are genuinely fully procured? What if those certs produced are fakes? They made fake oxygen cylinders, fake degrees, fake statistics of infections and deaths and you want to trust them?
ReplyDeleteWhen people trust a snake more than those people, think about it!

ReplyDeleteSingapore COVID-19 Restrictions Intriguing
ReplyDeleteSingapore government is very quick to impose on Saturday (Jul 31, 2021) tighter border measures to restrict travellers with a travel history to Australia and China's Jiangsu province after a spike in COVID-19 cases there.
However, the border gates remain open for travelers and families of foreigners working in Singapore coming from South Asia, countries that have the highest infected people with Type Delta variant of the COVID-19 coronavirus. Moreover, India is known as the first country that the B1617.2 Delta variant was detected/originated.
It is curiously strange and intriguing why the border restrictions are not seriously imposed upon countries with more serious threats instead of upon the countries with lesser Type Delta infections?
Australia and China could most probably have gotten their Type Delta B1617.2 infections from travellers from South Asia on transit through Singapore?
As Singapore has deliberately started the strategy of living with the coronavirus, won't it be the other way around? China and Australia should have banned all travellers with a history of staying in or travelling through Singapore, instead?
Some CECA Indians now demands that Singapore be part of India. This is outrageous and in contempt of the sovereignty and integrity of Singapore as an independent nation. It is an outright insult to the Singapore government and people. It totally defies and disregards International Law, foreign relations and human decency.
ReplyDeleteSingaporeans must now ensure that the CECA agreement be cancelled and annulled so as to prevent our country from being overwhelmed, bullied, victimised and taken over by the audacious, emboldened and lawless CECA Indians.

ReplyDeleteHi guys, Entry approval for 2 more people came through, with appeal through MAS following same steps
Case 1: on group for his DPs - wife & DP. Company raised a case with MAS. Wife fully vaccinated, kid quite young, so not. But approval for both. Flying to SG from India this weekend.
Case 2: One of my friend, who also recently got job in SG (investment management), been trying to enter SG since last 5-6 months. Appeal through MAS accepted. The only issue is MAS asked for vaccine certificates for middle-age kids (6, 12yrs) but in India there's no vaccination for them. So for now, only he is traveling (8th Aug from Mumbai), family on DP will travel a bit later.
Case 3: A family connect - One of the founders of InMobi, he is suppose to relocate to SG. Trying this one through EDB.
PS: AM not an agency or anything, just giving them steps that I mentioned here earlier when I got it in terms of how I got it. Just working with experience in terms of what worked. Pls follow this.
- Get fully vaccinated
- Get your employer to support you, work with you on appeals with relevant govt agency (MAS, EDB, MoE etc.)
- Get some positivity and spread it
(have seen lot of negativity earlier here on group - DO NOT LOSE HOPE - vibrations work, chose it carefuly)
Now CECA Indians even have the audacity to make use of uncle RB's as ADVERTISEMENT platform to spread the entry approvals and support by MAS which is headed by fellow Indian.

The person in charge of Singapore immigration must be replaced. He has been there since 2005. A long 16 years that entrenched his power too much for too long. This is not good for our government and country.
ReplyDeleteSingapore COVID-19 Situation as of noon 31 July, 2021.
ReplyDelete139 new cases of COVID-19 infections.
117 locally transmitted:
75 cases are linked to previous cases.
42 cases are unlinked to any cluster.
Grand total = 64,981 cases, excluding 78,000 from the dormitories not discovered earlier.
What does the data mean?
1. There are 22 imported cases. That means imported cases are on the rise exponentially.
2. Locally transmitted cases remain as more than 100 cases a day.
3. The frightening thing is the number of unlinked cases on the rise. 42 unlinked cases can mean 42 new clusters somewhere throughout the country.
Nobody knows where/who they got the virus from.
Nobody knows how many people these 42 infected people have transmitted to and how widespread the viruses have reached.
What is 78000? I never heard about this.
ReplyDeleteMOM and MOH jointly announced in one of the announcements last year that 78,000 infected migrant workers who already recovered were not detected earlier.
ReplyDeleteThey had no symptoms. Therefore, they were not discovered earlier during the testing sessions.
It was later on, when all of the workers in the dormitories were tested for past infections that they were discovered.
Therefore, these 78,000 should be included in the grand total.
So far, the 78,000 have been conveniently left out of the overall grand total, as if they never existed.

Could the unlinked cases be linked to the 78,000? Not included in total number of cases, 600,000 in the dormitories also not included in the total number of cases?
Brilliant way of counting, no lies, no under counting.

U.S. Vaping Cases Could Be COVID-19 Cases
ReplyDeleteIt's highly likely that some of the patients of the mysterious vaping-related lung disease that swept through all of the 50 US states in 2019 were actually COVID-19 patients, according to scientists and radiologists after reviewing some 250 chest CT scans from published papers. These scientists urged the US to start screening for COVID-19 in 2019 e-cigarette or vaping use-associated lung injury (EVALI) patients.
After having studied 250 chest CT scans of 142 EVALI patients selected from some 60 related studies that have been published, scientists found that 16 EVALI patients were involved in viral infections, which indicates that they could have had COVID-19. Five of the cases were determined as "moderately suspicious."
The 16 EVALI patients were all from the US, and in 12 patients symptoms started before 2020.
They concluded that there were viral infection cases among EVALI infections reported in the US in 2019, and the possibility of COVID-19 in the vaping-related lung disease in the US cannot be ruled out, sources said.
Sources explained that five patients were deemed as "highly suspicious" because that their CT scans had the characteristics of scans for COVID-19, which consisted of ground-glass opacities that were mainly distributed near the periphery of the lower lungs. In serious conditions, their CT scans showed multiple extensive consolidations in both lungs. Meanwhile, these clinical features are similar to those of COVID-19.
Due to the similarity of symptoms between EVALI and COVID-19 and since no nucleic acid detection kits were available, it's highly likely that some COVID-19 patients were actually misdiagnosed as EVALI patients in 2019.
CT scans are part of the evidence, the US can now run antibody tests on blood samples of EVALI patients to find out how many of them were actually COVID-19 patients, and share the data with the global community to help the world get closer to the COVID-19 origins, an observer said, noting "it's a very easy job."
According to media reports, the vaping-related lung disease was reported in the US as early as July 2019, the same month the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (US CDC) issued a "cease and desist order" to halt most research at Fort Detrick.
According to the USCDC, the emergency department visits related to e-cigarette or vaping sharply increased in August 2019, and peaked in September.
As of February 18, 2020, the first COVID-19-related deaths were being reported in the US, a total of 2,807 hospitalized EVALI cases or deaths were reported to the USCDC in all 50 states. As of today, there is still no confirmed cause of the e-cigarette pneumonia, and the contagiousness of the disease is still unknown.
In September 2019, vaping-related lung illness cases also doubled in Maryland where Fort Detrick lab is located, adding to the suspicion of Fort Detrick. This is especially because the lab stores the deadliest viruses in the world, including Ebola, smallpox, SARS, MERS and the novel coronavirus.
China and Russia should also make an announcement that they also have a big arsenal to match the Americans and Europeans in deadly viruses like Ebola, smallpox, SARS, MERS and the novel coronavirus.
ReplyDeleteThis will tell the evil white men to stop using bio weapons as both can play the same game.
