CECA - Parliament debate confirms there is nothing wrong with CECA

All the issues were thrashed out and CECA was misunderstood. There is no problem with CECA. In fact it is the best thing to have happened to Singapore. Period.

And blah, blah, blah.............. So much said in Parliament and the people have to thank the PAP and CECA for it, and for the people that worked so hard to sign this CECA to benefit so many Singaporeans. Without CECA Singapore would have sunk.

Say thank you. End of story.

If you are a beneficiary of CECA, please kee chiu.

  1. Ministerial Statements On The CECA Debate That Is 16 Years Late

Why did ministers made the ministerial statements (a one-sided underhanded action) on CECA before the start of the CECA Debate in Parliament?

    Possible Answers:

    1. To paint a negative picture on the Opposition party that agreed to the debate that was offered by the Law cum Home Affairs Minister K Shanmugam?

    2. To paint a positive picture of themselves and those who were involved in the negotiations of the lob-sided CECA with India?

    3. To argue that CECA is beneficial to Singapore which we have already heard several times before, nothing new?

    4. To divert public attention and to brain-wash the easy and simple minds of many commoners in Singapore?

    5. To avoid the need to provide details of facts and data on the real and important issues that CECA brought about that affect the jobs, careers, livelihoods and lives of thousands of Singaporeans?

    6. To impress upon the Speaker of the House not to proceed with the CECA Debate, which may open many cans of worms, so as to silence the Opposition Party that brought up the matter about the negative aspects of CECA that affect the jobs, careers, livelihoods and lives of many thousands of Singaporeans?

    7. To collaborate with a big foreign power that may be planning to take over control of Singapore, knowingly or naively?

    8. Other hidden motives or intentions?

  3. Workers' Party chief Pritam Singh was quick to say in Parliament that Sinkies' complaints about India CECA is all due to misunderstandings. PAP's Ong appreciated Pritam's comment.

It wasn't the main opposition party that leads the charge to protect Sinkies from India CECA. It was PSP with only 2 NCMPs. The implication is that WP cannot be count on to protect Sinkies' interests.

    1. WP is obviously a pro-PAP party now. It is certainly very clear.

If you want to vote for WP, might as well vote for PAP. Why vote for a stooge?

Better still vote for PSP or SDP or any other parties, except WP, if you want to vote for a Alternative government to run Singapore.

  4. When have we ever come across anything wrong when debates on contentious decisions they favoured are debated in Parliament?

Why follow the debates when the result is already pre-destined? Waste of time! Listening to sheep talk - blah, blah, black sheep.

  5. Now the MAS chief, another person of Indian origin, is trotted on stage to play his part in the wayang. We need a Singaporean core and do more to prevent discrimatory hiring, he said. Only 2 months ago he said we need to bring in more foreigners for tech jobs as we are short of talent. This wayang is not even entertaining and the saddest part is that alot of Singaporeans' lives and livelihoods are so badly affected by CECA but all the PAP does is to put on a show.

  6. If PAP is unable to put this right by the next GE, they would have to reckon with a lot of unhappy Singaporeans. They have taken the citizens for granted for too long and now the critical mass of unhappy and jobless citizens has reached a turning point.

With the CECA being debated in Parliament and the PAP ignoring the pain and suffering of the people like there is nothing to it, let's see how they fair in the next GE.

The people have given enough notice to the PAP. All their crap and half baked and half hearted measures would not be tolerated anymore.

Sure they can sell the country to the foreigners.

  7. The arrogance, carelessness and recklessness of the PAP leaders towards the predicaments and sufferings of the commoners are glaringly displayed in the Parliamentary Debate on CECA. A debate that was not a debate whatsoever.

There was no presentation of factual details and long-term data of 15 years but merely rhetorical motherhood statements of old, repeatrdly regurgitated to give a false impression of well-being with the one-sided CECA and the one-sided debate.

Such attitude and contempt of the local people is manifestly unjustified and unacceptable.

  8. They are so proud and happy to have negotiated and signed an Unequal Treaty without knowing it. What a bunch of losers.

  9. CECA itself is a racist scheme, project, endeavour and mission.

It is not just about jobs, investments, talents, benefits and GDP growth.
