Covid19 - Vaccine discrimination

WHO has approved Sinopharm and Sinovac vaccines for emergency use. Both vaccines have been used by about 100 countries world wide and likely to be the most used vaccines in the world. Many heads of states have also been vaccinated using Chinese vaccines with no side effects while there have been many reports of side effects of mRNA vaccines including dangerous blood clotting and deaths.

Singapore was one of the earliest country that took delivery of 200,000 doses of Sinovac vaccine, still in the museum in a way, cannot be used unless the little gods in Singapore verified and certified that it is safe for use or are there some other reasons?  This is in spite several hundred millions of users, and now with WHO approval. What it means is that our little gods are the authority, the most brilliant, cleverer than all the experts in WHO and all over the world on the safety and efficacy of vaccines. If they don't approve, then cannot use. Steady poon pee pee.

While the govt is pushing desperately for herd immunity and running short of American approved vaccines, and has to compromise to one dose instead of two doses as recommended, it would not use Chinese vaccines that are readily available, 200,000 doses in the museum, for whatever reasons.  Oh, the little gods have not given approval, still asking questions and investigating.

The latest announcement by the govt that the use of Chinese vaccines, Sinopharm, think also include Sinovac, would only be available in the private sector. The govt would not subsidise, would not provide provide insurance coverage and those opting for Chinese vaccines must pay through their own pockets.

Is this not discrimination against Chinese vaccines that are safer and cheaper and easier to administer than the American vaccines? Would not any govt choose to buy Chinese vaccines for safety and cost savings? The only advantage claimed is that American vaccines are more potent. With more and more data available, the efficacy of American vaccines is now in question and the percentages keep falling. Not forgetting many, actually quite number of those fully vaccinated and still got infected are jabbed with American vaccines, even with two doses.

The second discrimination is that there are citizens that could not use the American vaccines because of severe allergy or medical conditions that risked adverse side effects.  These citizens have no choice but to use the safer traditional method Chinese vaccines for their own safety.  Why are they punished by the govt to get jabbed in the private sector, and have to pay more and with no insurance protection/compensation?

Thirdly, the more expensive American vaccines are made available even to foreigners here for free. Why are citizens forced to go to the private sector and to pay for Chinese vaccines that the govt could buy at cheaper prices? See, foreigners given more expensive American vaccines for free but citizens have to pay for cheaper Chinese vaccines that the govt refused to provide even when there are 200,000 doses of Sinovac in the museum bins.

Why the discrimination against citizens and against Chinese vaccines in favour of more expensive but not so safe American vaccines? Why are citizens not given a choice to use vaccines that they feel are safer, some have no choice because of risk involved, and are cheaper to buy?

Any MP want to ask in Parliament about these discriminations, or are they too busy preparing to ask questions about dogs and pets and hawker culture?

PS.  I have been waiting for Chinese vaccines for so long and thought it was good news that finally approved for use.  Now feeling cheated, discriminated. I am a citizen, pay taxes, and have to pay to be jabbed to make my fellow Singaporeans safer.  Foreign workers, foreign domestic workers, not sure about the very well paid foreign talents here, got free vaccines from my govt.

  1. This obviously deliberate and outright discrimination against the Chinese Singaporeans (and maybe a few other non-Chinese too) is outrageous, to say the least.

I take umbrage for this direct, outrageous discriminatory decision made by the government.

  2. What kind of idiotic decision is this? Give foreigners freely the expensive vaccines and charge own citizens for the cheap vaccines. Just because they are made in China by the Chinese people.

This is a clear racial discrimination that defies logic, moral and ethics.

Only anti-China and anti-Chinese and anti-oldfolks elements would make such a decision.

Whoever made this decision, irrespective of whether it is an individual or group decision, ought to be kicked in the butt and knocked on the head to wake up the fxxking idea.

    I am very tu-lan!

  4. This latest development proves that the Singapore government has something to fear and to hide.

We can easily guess what it is.

It looks like someone is showing his cowardice in the face of potential threat, intimidation or coercion from a foreign power.

Probably, the CIA has already infiltrated into the Government at very high level?

  5. Senior Chinese Singaporeans opting for China-made WHO-approved vaccines are not subsidized, while foreigners in Singapore getting Western-made jabs are subsidized with taxpayers' money - thot they were yelping against racism in Parliament recently after widespread Sinkies' anger against virus variant import from India . .

  6. The old man suspected long ago that the CIA had tried to infiltrate the Government by bribing important personnel.

The USA knows they cannot fool the old man's intellect through bribery and let the agenda abate. But about the 4G leaders, what can I say. Educated and brainwashed in the West but unable to differentiate good intentions from bad, unlike the old man, is a recipe for regime fails. It is like placing too much faith in a religion and following it blindly.

  7. All the hypes about mRNA vaccines eg blood clot is extremely rare, getting infected after fully vaccinated is very rare, adverse effects are very rare, deaths related to vaccination are very rare, have all been proven false.

Blood clotting is happening very often, being infected after vaccination is very common, adverse effects very common, and death also very common though quickly and simply dismissed as unlinked.

Not true, fake news? Who is lying, who is reporting fake news?

  8. The biggest liars are the MSM. Instead of revealing the truth as the MSM, they resort to cover up or ignore the truth. Not true?

Like in India, the real coverage comes from the ground and small news sites, not the Big News sites covering the infections and death tolls. There were massive underreporting by the MSM, ignoring the reality on the ground. They have to tow the Government line.

Again, take this present big news of Denmark helping the USA to spy on Germany, a second time at that. It is a big slap on the face of the EU itself, showing the world that the grouping is falling apart. Did the MSM say much about the spying by the USA and the part played by Denmark? The ongoing fiasco only comes out largely on social media.

  12. I didnt go for the jab because was waiting for Sinovac. When WHO approved its use was looking forward to be vaccinated but dismayed by the inexplicable decision not to offer it to the general public.
Sorry guys, I think it's my fault. I didnt vote for them so they decided not to offer the vaccine freely.

  15. If the Chinese vaccines were super expensive and very difficult to handle, like -70C stuff, it could be an excuse for the govt not to offer it to the citizens.

But they are CHEAPER and EASIER to administer! It is not costing the govt more!

    WTF!

  27. GIC enters joint venture with India-based mall developer-operator

GIC has entered into a joint venture with Phoenix Mills, an India-based retail mall developer and operator, to establish an investment platform for retail-led mixed-use assets in India.

Under the agreement, Singapore's sovereign wealth fund will acquire a significant minority stake in Phoenix Mills' US$733 million portfolio of retail-led mixed-use developments, comprising about 3.4 million square feet of leasable retail and office space in the prime consumption centres of Mumbai and Pune.

Kishore Gotety, co-head of Asia (excluding China) real estate at GIC, said: "We recognise that the unprecedented global crisis is impacting consumer sentiment and that the necessary lockdown has made it challenging for all businesses, especially those in the retail sector.

"However, the long-term structural growth that the Indian retail industry continues to offer, due to favourable demographics, urbanisation, a growing middle class and increasing consumerism trends, will still benefit the joint venture."

Shishir Shrivastava, managing director of Phoenix Mills, said: "With multiple vaccines now feasible, we see a clear path towards turning the corner, past the second wave. As restrictions start relaxing, we are optimistic of a sharp rebound in consumption, as we experienced after the first wave."

  30. Covid-19 Singapore: Multi-Ministry Task Force Just Woke Up?

Finance Minister Lawrence Wong, who is also one of the Co-Chairs of the Multi-Ministry Task Force, said that the Government is very concerned about the hidden COVID-19 cases in the community in Singapore in a video clip in his Facebook page on Thursday.

Many people have been telling the Government for the past few months about the highly infectious and contagious new variant of COVID-19 known as Type Delta, B1617.2, discovered in India in October 2020. From what Minister Wong has said, it seems that it's only the last few days that the Multi-Ministry Task Force has just woken up to the horror of what this new Type Delta, B1617.2 can do!

Minister Wong said that the recent outbreak in the Home for Intellectually Disabled Adults was a “stark reminder” of such hidden cases.

This is the gist of his message:

“We are dealing with a very infectious and highly contagious strain of the virus, which is capable of spreading much faster than anything we’ve had to deal with before and causing large clusters to break out easily.”

“We have been monitoring the situation carefully and considering what are some of the next steps we might take.”

“Stay home as much as possible work from home, whenever you can, and minimize your daily contact. Should you feel unwell, see a doctor and get yourself tested right away. These are very critical measures!"

"The Government will “continue to ramp up testing and speed up our vaccination program. So when your turn comes, do book a vaccination slot and get yourself vaccinated as soon as possible!"

The outbreak he has referred to was at the MINDSville @ Napiri Adult Disability Home in Hougang. The cluster has 27 infected people so far - 23 residents and 4 employees, one of whom is probably the carrier and spreader of the virus.

Although they have been tested positive for Covid-19, the residents are still allowed to leave the Home for medical appointments and the infected employees living in the Home had been allowed to leave for "essential" purposes.

Of the 225 residents and staff, 91 per cent were vaccinated in February and March, yet some of them still get infected. This shows that the efficacy of the Pfizer vaccines is questionable.

23 out of the 27 infected cases have been found to be asymptomatic and, therefore, these 23 could have already spread their viruses to many others outside the Home, especially when they go for medical appointments or go out for "essential" purposes!

This is a very good example of lessons not learnt.

    1. They still never want to carry out 100% quarantine.

    2. They still allow the highly infectious and contagious viruses an escape route to spread.

    3. They still never want to plug the loop-holes.

    4. Worst of all, they still keep importing infected India nationals and travellers into Singapore and refused to stop the flow of these groups of highly infectious and contagious super-breeders and super-spreaders of the B1617.2 coronavirus!

Where is the EFFICIENCY that Singapore has been well-known for?

Please don't just be concerned. Do what is necessary now. Why take so long to consider and consider? Just stop the inflow of infected persons and potentially risky people from coming into our congested tiny island.

Stop the monitoring carefully and wait and see approach, for goodness sake. Please take proactive and decisive actions now!

  33. They are still lying that these are the 5%, so never mind, very safe. 95% are safe.

I think they know that they are lying to themselves. The efficacy of the western vaccines are less than 50% but claiming to be 95%.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Lawrence Wong said on June 3 that the authorities are "very concerned" about the hidden Covid-19 cases in the Singapore community.

Is his not concerned about those that are coming in daily from high risk countries with the open leg policy?

    ReplyDelete
  35. Out of the 19 cases from Mindsville, 17 have been vaccinated. That is a telling statistic. How is the 95% efficacy arrived at I wonder.

    ReplyDelete
  36. The coerced and captive believers have no choice but to go on believing that the western vaccines efficacy is 95% even when evidence suggests it is far lower, very much lower than 50%.
