Trump pardoned butchers of innocent Iraqi civilians

In an exclusive interview with The Associated Press news agency, his first since being released from the prison, Evan Shawn Liberty said “I feel like I acted correctly” during the deadly shooting in Baghdad’s Nisour Square.

Liberty and three other former Blackwater employees – Nicholas Slatten, Paul Alvin Slough, and Dustin Laurent Heard – were convicted for their roles in the massacre after a protracted, years-long legal process in the US.

“I regret any innocent loss of life, but I’m just confident in how I acted and I can basically feel peace with that,” Liberty told AP.

The case sparked renewed criticism of the use of US contractors in conflict zones and Trump’s December 22 pardon of the four men has drawn widespread criticism from human rights advocates, lawyers and others in the US and Iraq.

US prosecutors have long maintained that the Blackwater employees, who were contracted by the US State Department in Iraq, launched an unprovoked attack on civilians involving sniper fire, machine guns and grenade launchers.

In a New York Times letter to the editor published on Friday, John Patarinithe, the FBI agent who led the investigation into the incident, said he “spent many hours with the innocent Iraqi victims who are permanently maimed and crippled because of the actions of these Blackwater guards, and the heartbroken family members of those killed”.

“I am embarrassed for our country,” he wrote. “I believe we will pay a heavy price in our relationships with other countries as a result of these pardons.”

For their part, the convicted contractors have said they were acting in self-defence and their lawyers have said the shooting began only after a white sedan broke from traffic and approached the convoy in what appeared to be a threatening way.

The sedan actually held a medical student and his mother.

Prosecutors have said one of the former contractors, Slatten, “was the first to fire, without provocation”. He was sentenced in 2019 to life in prison without parole for the murder of Ahmed Haithem Ahmed al-Rubia’y, the medical student who was driving his mother to an appointment.  Al Jazeera

4 hired American killers, conveniently called contractors, contract to kill, gunned down innocent Iraqi civilians and lying in court that they were killing them in self defence. Can anyone believe in this white lie?

Think of how many levels of command were involved in making this order to kill Iraqi civilians. Was Trump involved in the decision making that he had to pardon these murderers of Arabs? And to think that these hired killers got the cheek to claim that they fired in self defence and feeling good about it, not a trace or remorse and repentence, and the racist American President Trump pardoned them. And this is the evil country that shout for human rights and freedom!

Do the Iraqi civilians have any human rights, and freedom to move around freely in the streets of Baghdad and not be killed in broad daylight by American hired killers? Or to theAmericans the Iraqis/Arabs are subhuman beans, free to be killed at will by the white Americans, and no crime committed when the white American President set them free?

How evil can the white Americans be? Look at the face of the murderer, butcher above? His face said he did not care a damn about the innocent lives he took. He could sleep peacefully, no sense of guilt, no wrongs?

And no condemnation from the supposedly 'morally high' western media and the worshipers and believers of the white evil American Empire.

The most dangerous mad man that may use nuclear weapons on other countries have been restrained. His power to order a nuclear strike has been taken away.

The mad man is the one that called North Korea Kim dangerous when Kim is just a child, has no reason to want to strike any country. Only silly people are still parroting this American mischievous myth that Kim is a threat to the world.

The threat to the world is the Americans and the mad man is the President of the USA, Donald Trump.

  2. Mahathir Mohamad has been named one of the world’s “most dangerous extremists” by New York-based nonprofit Counter Extremism Project.

The 95-year-old was placed on the 14th spot along with others such as Secretary-General of the terrorist group Hezbollah, Hassan Nasrallah from Lebanon and Buddhist monk Ashin Wirathu from Myanmar.

Even though he is not directly responsible for specific violent events, the organization said that the former Malaysian prime minister’s controversial opinions have led to “international condemnation.” Yahoo News

This is how the West control the western media, set up black ops organisations to condemn, attack and accuse others of extremism, terrorism, violations of human rights etc etc when all the extremists, terrorists, white supremacists, violators of human rights, killers, murderers etc etc are in the USA.

  3. For a start China can ban doing business with all American companies doing business with the American military as a tic for tac for banning investment in Chinese companies doing business with the PLA.

China can also ignore all unilateral sanctions against American's enemies eg NK and Iran.

China must stop selling rare earth to the US and its allies.

    Can start to dump US$.

  4. Trump really played out his supporters big time and threw them under the bus to save his own skin. That is what most people see it

Before the riots, he incited them to converge on Washington to protest against Biden's victory confirmation. It now seems that the protest to be carried out was more than just a peaceful protest, as investigations and videos showed that they came with hand ties and were possibly preparing to take hostages. Now the FBI is going thru the videos and bringing the protestors in. Trump will not be able to pardon them.

When the protest turned ugly causing the death of five people, he knew he is in serious trouble as it was thru his provocation that the mob was so daring. After the riot, and under pressure from his own people, he blamed his supporters as a lawless mob, claiming that is not in the nature of the USA peace loving people. He painted himself as a totally different goody two shoes. Almost everyone saw thru his instant chameleon change of character the day after.

Now his supporters are also turning against him for pushing all the blame to them. That is why he now says his political career has come to an end with this riot. Otherwise he still thinks that the support his gets in 2020 will give him a chance in 2024.

  5. That riot in DC was a beautiful sight to behold.

When will there be an USA spring?

  6. Would this be the end of Trump's mischief? I doubt so. He still has a lot of cards to play, Iran, Taiwan, South China Sea.

Trump has many white supremacist supporters both in the wild and in the military and police. The ease for the rioters to enter Capitol Building, with minimal police, was something to ponder. The Capitol Building Police Chief has resigned. He is definitely implicated for turning down assistance from the National Guards and other agencies.

Trump's Proud Boys or white hooligans and KKK would not be so easily appeased or defeated. They are as bad as Trump if not worse.

Until after 21 Jan, anything can still happen. And big bad wolf, the lump of lard is still doing all the mischief he could before he quits, possible to stir enough shit to keep Trump in the White House.

Everyday is a dangerous day till 21 Jan.

  7. Looks like off duty police personnel were also involved in the riots. That shows the level of division inside the USA, all incited by Trump and his accomplices. Getting rid of Trump is not going to solve the problem. The whole Trump swamp is now so well entrenched in the administration, the police and possible the army.

Trump said he will not be around when Biden is inaugurated and some are speculating that having planted the seeds of insurrection, he is staying away thinking he can be absolved if a civil unrest breaks out during the inauguration. Left to be seen! That will be a beautiful sight to behold.

  8. Listen to Michael Moore's podcast. The revolt and attack on all American cities will be 3 days before the inauguration.

  9. That means civil war! Oh boy, the end is near, earlier than expected!

  10. While the USA is preoccupied with impeaching Trump, the virus is spreading like wildfire and already 375,000 are dead. Looks like the half a million mark will easily be crossed if you look at all the unmasked protestors at Capitol Hill.

There were 290,000 infections reported days ago, that means a million added every four days. The virus is enjoying a free ride, courtesy of Trump. How come he did not take any credit for the all time highs?
