Below are 7 points put up by SSO for the termination of the CECA NOW.
1. Terminate the CECA and renegotiate a new purely trade agreement with India on a fair basis.
2.
Exclude the exchange of talents/professionals. cloud the new agreement
solely on trade and investments - a free trade agreement not a free flow
of personal agreement.
3. Playing with the approval and
termination of their EP and SP is stupid. Because the clause clearly
stated that Singapore has to approve whatever transfers come from India.
If not, India can sue Singapore government. It even include the
dependents of the India's natural citizens.
4. As long as the
CECA is not terminated, Singapore is legally binded to honour whatever
that are stated in the CECA documents signed by both countries PMs.
5.
Cunning Modi has already threatened Singapore leaders twice regarding
this CECA thingy, once openly and once on the sideline.
6. Singapore must get our of this legal entanglement at the earliest time. This is the ripe time.
7. The COVID-19 PANDEMIC provides the opportunity to remedy our mistakes!
PS. Posted on behalf of SSO.
Huh??? Kong simi lan?!??
ReplyDeleteTerminating CECA unilaterally is the same as refusing to follow the terms in the contract.
Both will result in country-to-country lawsuits & diplomatic/economic conflict.
If PAP can renegotiate CECA like changing underwear, you think they won't tell us by now???
If we are like USA with a US$20 Trillion domestic market full of 350M spendthrift consumers, then we can be like Donald Trump & ownself tear up signed contracts & tell other countries to re-negotiate or fuck off.
S'pore is just a small fuck with tiny consumer demand. Foreigners come into S'pore not to sell things to us. They come in to make use of S'pore tax haven status (taxes are farking high in India).
With EDB/IRAS/MAS/MTI grants & agreements, they can even lower the already low S'pore tax, sometimes to zero even, for part or all of their setup companies.
But PAP & S'poreans have gong gong already put in Billions investments into India. Just ask Singtel, Keppel, Sembawang, Surbana, Ascendas, plus plenty of other GLCs & TLCs.
The Indian cock has already gone in & out of S'pore asshole for about 100 times already. Very hard to break off unless we prepared to give up the Billions stuck there, most of it related to Singapore reserves one way or another.
Background To What I Said Above
ReplyDeleteWithout this background, those who have not read the CECA Document in full will focus on the trees and miss the wood.
1. CECA is a time-bomb that will explode right in the faces of our leaders. If they are smart and still able restrain their ego, greed and pride, they should heed the People's Calls. They should abolish it now. Enough serious damages have been done but it is not too late to abolish it.
2. There is a way out of this unnecessaryinconvinient entanglement.
3. There is a clause at the end of the CECA documents that clearly stated that either party can terminate the agreement by giving six months notice. As simple as that. No strings attached.
4. If our leaders still remain stubborn and refused to make amends, then this CECA issue will soon explode and it will become the cause of the PAP's demise.
5. Cunning India refuses to join the RCEP because it can make use of CECA to tap onto RCEP by using Singapore as an indirect route to benefit from RCEP without having to reciprocate to the other member countries of RCEP.
6. Singapore as a member of RCEP should not be entangled in this unfair CECA Deal any more. Other members of RCEP can accuse Singapore of helping India to undermine the spirit of the RCEP agreement if Singapore continues to embrace CECA for the advantage of India.
7. We would be better of to abolish it now, using COVID-19 as the perfect excuse to revamp, realign and re-adjust our whole economy comprehensively, thoroughly and totally. After this, we can renegotiate with India on an equal footing.
8.. Tell India's cunning Modi that we need to revamp, re-align and readjust our economy totally as a result of the devastation and destruction caused by the COVID-19 Pandemic. There is nothing to fear India not AGREE because the CECA legal documents have a proviso for remedy, without any strings attached.
9. Move whatever investments we have out of India and shift to Japan, South Korea and Vietnam - the future supply chain that can connect China and USA. Cut loss if necessary. Give six months notice to India to terminate the CECA agreement without strings attached.
10. If we delay, it will only become more difficult to terminate this unfair and unjust deal.
11. For goodness sake, of paramount importance, at the top of all priorities, think of the present unemployed and underemployed Singaporeans and their families, our future generations and the Singapore voters who voted for you,

Ya can terminate.
ReplyDeleteBut be prepared for taxpayer reserves of 10s or 100s billions in India to be expropriated. Almost all the investments by GLCs there are infrastructure.
No way to move them out. Basically have to abandon. Free gift to India.
Obviously PAP not prepared to abandon what is potentially 100 billion of Singapore reserves. We are screwed either way.
Most of the investments are either already cheated or on the way to be cheated, anyway.
ReplyDeleteMoney can be earned again. But PAP cannot fall. If Singaporeans fall, PAP also finish.
No matter what, PAP must save Singaporeans ricebowls first. For with no means to survive, the people will die. Before they are willing to die, they will make sure they die fighting. Then PAP will die standing.
This issue if not solved urgently (already festered for 15 long years) using the Pandemic as an excuse, a perfect excuse, there will be no second chance.
The Story of Ah Q - A Parallel To Singaporeans Today
ReplyDelete"The True Story of Ah Q" is an episodic novella written by the famous Lu Xun, first published as a serial between Dec 1921 and Feb 1922, comprising 9 chapters - considered among the masterpieces of modern Chinese literature.
The character of Ah Q in Lu Xun's short noval has given rise to a unique expression in China called "Ah Quism".
"Ah Quism" is the attempt to find cheap moral victory in defeat and failure. A typical Sinkie trait, which is now being displayed through the speeches of PAP leaders in Parliament over the last three days.
In the story, Ah Q is continually defeated, by his fellow low-lifes, by respectable people and by revolutionaries.
Yet he keeps turning each and every situation around in his head afterwards, in order to feel good for himself.
For instance, while being beaten by loofers, he loudly denigrates himself as being as low as an insect, thus showing himself to be the "foremost self-belittler" - and certainly being "foremost" in anything is admirable, is it not? So, in this manner he is spiritually superior again to his persecutors.
To some people, "The True Story of Ah Q" may be confusing because it seems to have no moral centre.
Ah Q is motivated by self-interest, even when he tries (and fails) to join the revolution. None of his persecutors nor his victims seem to be people of any integrity.
The ending is tragic and ironical. Ah Q had wanted to join the revolutionaries in order to enjoy a better life and higher status but he failed to do so because he overslept and missed the train. Later the revolutionaries, the very people whom he had looked up to, framed him up for the crimes they have committed. Ah Q was arrested and executed. He signed on his death sentence note as Q instead of O, the standard signature for illiterates in those days.
Ah Q was executed for the crimes of others, yet he died without any regret nor protest. This is what most Sinkies are - always suffering in silence without making any protest, yet still can feel great about their existence and predicaments. Chronically tragic!
This all seems to be a lawless and sadistic black humour.
To really get the morals of this story, you must understand the historical context: China had just gone through a bourgeois democratic revolution in 1911, overthrowing the last imperial dynasty and setting up a Republican Government the following year.
However, the new government could not throw off foreign domination (by Austria, Britain, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Japan, Russia and USA) or bring about needed reforms to improve the lot of the people.
So, in 1919, the famous May Fourth movement began with a student protest in Beijing. And several decades of political upheaval and bloodshed on a mass scale followed, before the eventually victorious Maoist Revolution set China on the path to what China is today.
It was in the confusing Republican period that Lu Xun started writing, placing the story of Ah Q in the turmoil of the incomplete revolution of 1911. It was a time when many Chinese looked to Western ways (like our bananas) to overthrow ancient Chinese traditions rooted in the feudal system.
A character in "The True Story of Ah Q" is just referred to as the "Imitation of Foreign Devil", an affluent Chinese person who adopts the fashions of the West.
The "revolutionaries" in the story are an ambivalent lot, far from the ideologically driven revolutionaries who came later.
Ah Q is thus both a ridiculous figure — with his self-centred ignorance and his psychological "victories" - and a pathetic low-life unable to compete in a vicious environment made more difficult by foreign powers dominance.
While laughing at Ah Q, the reader somehow also understand his confusion and applaud his hapless attempts to improve his situation against all odds.
The government lives in alternate reality that's why Singapore is in the ceca mess..take for example..lhl tells puritan that wp voters want a free ride when they vote for wp..haha.. no sir..when the voters vote for wp they actually want u OUT!!!
ReplyDeleteisn't it???
So terminating ceca will cost billions? Who knows the impact? Which is more critical..the well being of your citizenry or the mishandling of the trust that was given you. Why don't we debate this in parliament
It is not just DBS. The cancerous disease has already spread across the whole banking sector, the IT sector, medical and health sector (the reason for slow testing and delayed testing results), education and academics, scientific and biotechnology researches, all subsidiaries of Temasek Holdings, GIC, GLCs, and even manufacturing, housing and construction sectos.
ReplyDeleteThe actual figure we do not know. Only MOM, MOF and PMO know.
Singapore's population today is 5.85 according to official figures, but the real figure is most likely to be 6 million. Out of this 6,000,000, actual Singaporeans comprise only 3.5 million. The remaining 2.5 million are PRs, E Pass, S Pass, and their dependents who are legally permitted by MOM to work in Singapore to help their already highly-paid spouses to earn even more money, and to compete with Singaporeans for jobs across the board; no limitations.
The present MOM and the previous MOMs, as well as ICA and NTUC have been actively involved in promoting and encouraging the growth of this CANCEROUS DISEASE which is worse than the COVID-19 Pandemic!
Yet, the people are so powerless to do anything except the ballot box. Yet, the majority of 61% voted like Ah Q, to be finnaly played out by those whom he trusted and looked up to.
In the words of PAP MP Tin Pei Ling:
"I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO SAY!"
SOS, oops sorry SSO
DeleteThe 61% is ALREADY in Disaster, oops Disease X as proclaimed by Pinky Loong.
Pinky Loong knew in advance that there is a Disease X on the way.
Must be piggy, pivvy info when he visited the White House.
Americunts may have warned him in advance.
Luckily lived long ENOUGH to enjoy our past luxuries.
DeletePity the New Generation who had to undergo all these Man Made Scientifically Virus just to be one up on the other.
too late leow. continue to get milk.
ReplyDeleteGoh Keng Swee must be turning in his grave. He built a Singapore for Singaporeans. Now it belongs to foreigners.
ReplyDeletePM Lee says that Singaporeans who voted for opposition parties are "free-riders".
ReplyDeleteBut to many Singaporeans, the real free-riders are the foreigners, eg CECA India nationals !
As a Indian national, I completely agree that CECA has to be terminated as it gives free market access to Singapore businesses. Cunning Singapore govt should be the reason just like modi. Also please do cancel, it better for India as it suffers from brain drain.
