How many Indians has DBS employed in DBS India and DBS Singapore?

Hsien Loong has brought this photo out as a case of fake news.  Readers may be misled to think that this is DBS Bank in Chennai Business Park or DBS Bank in Mumbai Financial Centre.  Oops, what's getting on me, I mean Changi Business Park and Marina Bay Financial Centre.  So readers please take note, this is a DBS branch in Mumbai, India. So naturally you will see they were all or mainly Indian employees.  I think DBS has about 10 to 16 branches in India.  If this is one branch, then how many Indians have benefitted from DBS Bank's investment in Indian and got a good job paid by DBS?

I was also told that foreign investors starting a business in India must employed Indians only as employees, ie from the CEO to the lowest level staff, ie 100 per cent Indians. I stand corrected on this. I am not sure how many Singaporeans are employed in DBS India at the top after DBS invested billions to start a bank? There must be at least one or two Singaporeans to act as the watchdogs in case the billions be used as someone's ATM when the top management are all Indians and not Singaporeans. This is basic finance and asset control and management. I am sure DBS would have put in the people and procedures to make sure its money would be safe, and not be looted one day, in one way or another in a far away country when hardly a Singaporean is in the top management of DBS India. I checked the organisational chart and only chanced upon a vice Chairman in the Board of Directors that is a Singaporean, I presumed. Not sure if there is any Singaporeans in executive roles and in finance of DBS India. I think there sure be.  We cannot be so trusting with so much money there with a few Singapore keeping an eye on it, like trusting the foreigners here managing the critical IT systems and operations of banks.

In total, with so many branches in India, how many Indians were employed by DBS Bank? And how many Indians were employed in DBS Bank in Singapore. Added together I think the number is quite substantial. I wonder if there is an Indian company under CECA in Singapore that has employed as many Singaporeans here or in their India HQ as DBS Bank. Maybe all the Indian companies in Singapore added together would not employed the same number as DBS Bank's Indian employees, especially in good paying jobs like top bank management jobs. But we know that a few hundred thousands of the CECA Indians are in good paying jobs in Singapore.

I hope the MPs in Parliament can ask a few simple questions about how many Indians DBS Bank has employed in India and in DBS Singapore.  Hsien Loong has said that there is nothing to hide and he is prepared to answer all questions. This could be a good start. Hope the MPs would take this good opportunity of a new openness in the govt to tell all, to answer all questions and not getting answers like what is your intent for asking such questions or answers cannot be given because the answers are state secrets.

After all the hypes and assurances made about how CECA benefited Singapore, Singaporeans need to be informed and convinced with numbers to show that this is the case and not a one way agreement that benefited India more than Singapore. With so many hundreds of CECA Indians benefiting from it, it is strange that so many Singaporean PMETs and fresh graduates are out of jobs or underemployed and finding a job so stressful and painful and difficult.

Don't tell us, show us the proof, in Parliament.

  2. With 12 million India youth entering the jobs market each year (figure from Asia Nikkei), the India CECA with Singapore is a very much needed aid for the Modi government to alleviate the huge employment pressures it faces at home. Similar provisions if incorporated into the RCEP would help the country export its unemployed people to more countries.

  3. Singapore has already taken over by local Indians in concert and collaboration with India Indians. That's why we see the Indian's in Parliament defending vigorously the imported Indians positions at high places.

It looks like Sicken Banana Leeder has already been put into the pockets of the local as well as foreign Indians. They must have something up their sleeves to be able to control the useless and fatuous leeder.

I have been observing for the past 15 years and the conclusion I get is that someone's brain has been so brain-washed until he has become a traitor to his fellow countrymen.

This is racism at play at the most subtle and highest level.

    1. When you want to earn a cent from them, you have to shed a pint of blood.

They are the MOST protectionist country in the World.

You can never beat them in any Agreements or Contracts.

Tummby Sick or any MNC or GLC wanted to invest there must gave lots of trade offs and advantages to them.

      CECA is the One.

  5. Mutual Recognition Agreements (MRAs) to facilitate the freer movement of professionals between Singapore and India are present in CECA. It helps to recognise each other’s education and professional qualifications so that Indian and Singaporean professionals would be able to practise in each other country.

So it was indeed a sad day for Singapore youth when Khaw Boon Wan, then PAP chairman,  told students and young adults in an Our Singapore Conversation dialogue: "If they cannot find jobs, what is the point? You own a degree, but so what? That you can't eat it. If that cannot give you a good life, a good job, it is meaningless."

  6. Singapore got 6 universities.
    India got 10,000 universities.

200 Singaporeans want to work in Indian to earn rupees.
100m Indians want to work in Singapore to earn S$.

What a fair freedom of movement of professionals agreement.

Singapore is really so talented to sign such a great and beneficial agreement.

Singapore can now have all the workers it needs, no need to school Singaporeans, no need schools, polytechnics and universities for Singaporeans. Cheap and good professionals available in India.

  7. Sinkies been rooting for that Botak TarMan to be the PM.

See his true colours or NOT?

When WP MP Jammu just asked an issue, see how vigorously he defended the Government.

Now, before the opening of the PARLIAMENT, Pinky Loong had felt sore that the new OPPO and NCMP MPs are a diferent kettle of ex PAP second team members.

That's why he chastised Pritam Singh of what's Free Loaders Politics.

Now, they are just too afraid to show their foxes tails or let the cats out of the bags with prompt questions from the Oppo.

Especially with this pandemic and down turn.

As what Queen of Hearts said.
The locals are in cahoots with their kind in slowly with patience taking over the reins with you suckers still sleeping Sinkies boiling in the warm waters.

When the Right time, it comes to a Boil then action will be taken with full effect.

Years back when I was in 78 Shenton Way just across the IBM building.

When we happened to go there their canteen for lunch, it's ALREADY crowded in darkness.

Lots of stall converted to Indian Food.

That was nearly at least fifteen years back. Their avalanche had ALREADY began.

That is during GCT and semi LHL's time.

The ROT already began. That IBM and most other MNCs would prefered their Compatriots Indians than other races.

    Especially the Chinese.

The White Americunt had told that Malaysian Guy that the White as well as their equally daft Black Americans in America hated the Chinese most in their land.

The Banana Americans still worshipped them as their GOD.

  8. Not only employees in India, but Japan found out the hard way that they have to use 'Made in India' products in their railway project, which they were awarded against China. Because Modi insists they must use 'Made in India' stuff.

Ok, no arguments about being patriotic. But the problem is that those 'Made in India' stuff, like steel, are of sub-standard quality. The Japanese will have to loose their pants, if the railway lines, made with sub-standard Indian steel were later the cause of accidents, they have to shoulder the blame. Now the Japanese are having a big headache.

  9. India is in bad shape. COVID19 is out of control. The economy is sinking. Lots of unemployed roaming the streets. Like the USA, they still insist on opening up, even before controlling the outbreak, to save the sinking ship. That is a sure sign for disaster.

India is between the devil and the deep blue sea. The only way is to divert attention towards China, just like the USA. Great snakes think alike!

  10. RB let me share my experienced.

Indian’s racist? Nah. Nobodies believe it. Here in the US, my youngest kid worked for an American Softwares company, she was lucky. Worked few years was sent to Germany to train company other staff there. After a few more years the company hired an Indian HR manager from India, my kid was fired and met up with my other kid worked there. Managed to get her a job but decided to return to the States. She is now a "full stack engineer.” My other kid in Finland got a free full scholarship MSc. In Computer Science. Never check with her the company she working for could be Nokia?

Had I not moved both my kids would have a hard time in Singapore. The Finland kid. She was an art student (Hwa Chung gifted secondary and Catholic High) and NOT a science student. She wanna do Law, told her she wasn't qualifying. I'm not a Papist and had nothing to do with them. I did not know she was that smart otherwise I would had send her to a better uni.

Now they are doing great with headhunters offering sg jobs but they are not interested as its 50% of their current pay. In fact all my ex colleagues kids are all overseas doing great in their career with many of them converted with new passports but I think they never bother to tell the govt

  13. It will be a great day when our leeders are engineered out of power and also out of GIC and Temasek by the foreigners. Then all Singaporeans would be laughing and crying at the same time. Singaporeans would cry for they would not be spared either and nothing else to help them, no one left to help them and they would be at the mercy of the foreigners and CECA Indians.

In fact most mini-stars have aged terribly. Except 'Tha Man' with no white hairs. He is smart. If he became the Prime Mini-star, he would have to defend vigorously the CECA fiasco against the indignant anger of the locals. See, Indians are smart. They have the cake and eat it while the Chinese are left with the cardboard base, plastic knife and the box.

  19. Over the last decade in DBS Bank , there is no denying that there has been a substantial increase of Indian nationals in its employ, many in high paying senior posts.

DBS has also been aggressive in making hugh investments in India . There was one time it caused a disquiet among Singaporeans on why it couldn't spend the money to invest in Singapore and creating more local jobs.

Making money is the main objective of this TH company, Apparently to them charity doesn't begin at home.

So someone was defensive and chided others who've spoken, of being racist just for telling TH and some of its group of companies were to expat concentrated at the top in the in their employ

  20. My stupid brain has been thinking and thinking of sinister thoughts last few days, after watching the exchanges happening in our Parliament last few days. My thoughts went something like this:

    1. Once the Indians reached a critical mass, they will revolt and take over Singapore by hook or by crook, with backing from India.

    2. In addition to signing the Trojan Horse CECA, Singapore's booksmart scholar-elites have stupidly signed an agreement to let India make use of our Naval Base as well as airspace for military purposes without conditions /limitations. This will come in very handy for India to send land, air and naval forces under the pretext of protecting its own nationals in Singapore.

    3. I still remembered the Thai Navy in Singapore when their workers were not properly treated some 20 years back.

    4. I have been wondering all this while: How come one Indian can hold both the Law as well as the Home Affairs Ministries? This dual-authority easily permit the incumbent the power to put all other ministers, including the PM, under House arrest as and when he so desires.

    5. Moreover, why is the President also an Indian converted into Malay to hold the Preserved for Malay President?

6.Why is the Chief of the Presidential Council also an Indian?

    7. Why of the two Senior Ministers, one is also an Indian?

    8. Why is the Chief Justice also an Indian?

    9. Why is the Minister of Foreign Affairs also an Indian?

    10. Why is the Chief of the Law Society also an Indian?

    11. Why is the Chief of the Monetary Authority also an Indian?

    12. Why is the DBS Chief also an Indian?

    13. Why is the Deputy Attorney General also an Indian?

    14. Why where the Minister of a vital ministry is a non-Indian, there must be a 2nd Minister or a Minister--of-State who is also an Indian?

    15. Who have been influencing the decision - maker to make the decisions to deploy themose Indian Chiefs in those vital positions?

May anyone of you enlighten me please. If I am wrong, anyhow thinking, in my thoughts, you are free to correct me.

    I stand to be corrected.

My heart is restless until I can get some answers to my questions. Have not been sleeping well for the last six nights already. Thinking and thinking and worrying. May be for nothing. I really don't know.

They had won more than 2/3 of the parliamentary seats with a D grade(61%). Water began to boil after a period of times when saturation temperature point is reached. PAP are encouraged to put on the heat by not listening. Let the natural collapse of PAP happened in due course.

  26. Israel - Singapore's Saving Grace:

Singapore is backed by Israel. Tons of Israeli investments and intelligence agents are in Singapore.

Israel is friendly with China, not India.

Anything happens to Singapore, Israel will send her rapid deployment force to Singapore to "protect her investments". At the same time, Israel will send elite commandos to raid and sabotage the Base of the Invaders of Singapore. These actions, together with our own Daft NS boys will buy some time for the US or China, even Russia too, to send their forces to destroy the aggressor's forces in Singapore - both combatants and non-combatants.

What Singapore has to do now is to identify all the probable and possible subversive elements within our country, especially new citizens, so that in times of need, they can be easily rounded up and dealth with.
