Stopping trade means China loses too, and Beijing must know the world is watching, says James Laurenceson.
SYDNEY: When Canberra called for an international, independent inquiry into COVID-19 in April, Beijing deployed trade restrictions measures against Australian beef and barley the next month.
And so when the Australian government responded firmly to China imposing a sweeping national security law in Hong Kong at the end of June, the Australian Financial Review’s Andrew Tillett and Mike Smith wrote that “the government [was] privately bracing for a trade backlash as punishment”.
Sure enough, what followed was an anti-dumping investigation into Australian wine, another meat processor having its certification to supply the Chinese market suspended, and barley exports from a major Perth-based grain company barred on food safety grounds. CNA
The above is a clear case of when you are small don't act big. Australia, the American poodle in Asia has been the most vocal against China since the few American crony states in Asean have quietened down after China started to carry a cane. But this self professed white sheriff in Asia, thinking that white is still superior and strutting around like it is the master in the region, continues to agitate and provoke China, thinking that with the evil Empire on its back China would not dare to hit back. They have been poking the eyes of China everyday and smearing China like a good lapdog of the Americans, echoing everything Pompeo wanted them to say and do.
Hitting back is what China did and this little poodle is starting to feel the pain and whining. Oh, a trade war with China would hurt both parties. Really? Raw material and food can be replaced from other sources with equally good substitutes. As long as China is buying, every country would want to sell, including the evil Empire,
But how is Australia going to find an equally big buyers to replace China? NONE! China must continue to squeeze the balls of Australia until they scream for mercy. This white racist poodle must be taught a lesson it would not forget, that it is a little group of white gangsters in stolen territory in Asia and Asia belongs to Asians not white men. so don't muck around in Asia.
China go, keep squeezing this poodle until it puts its tail between its legs.
Australia and other lawless Whitemen dominated countries must know that the new world is watching them and will be going after their asses in time to come.
ReplyDeleteWithout the might of the evil Empire, this little country with 25m people could be overrun even be Indonesia. It is so easy to take back this country from the evil whites.
ReplyDeleteChina should do the native Australians a favour by taking back this country and return it to them and chase the whites out of Australia and out of Asia.
Fletcher International Exports founder Roger Fletcher, the biggest sheep meat exporter to China, is enraged at how out-of-hand the tensions between China and Australia have become.
ReplyDelete"I get politicians now asking me 'why don't you just go to India?' Oh my God they have no idea," Roger Fletcher says.
"I just wish everyone would shut up," Mr Fletcher said. "If the Chinese pull the plug on this I'll be very angry at journalists and governments."
"Just think, we have traded with Russia, Egypt — we even traded with Iraq during the war and it never got as bad as this."
Australian Country Choice managing director David Foote was shipping 2000 tonnes of beef a month into China before the pandemic and is nervous about what could eventuate. Beef exports to China are worth about $200 million a month.
"The challenge is that never before have politics had such a big impact on business," Mr Foote said. "Its interesting to note that New Zealand has been quiet throughout all this and it appears their trade with China has not been affected that much."
The stupidity of the white Australians deserves to be bashed. They asked for it.
ReplyDeleteIndia boaster big cock!
ReplyDeleteIndia said Thursday the induction of the first batch of five French-made Rafale fighter jets into service in its air force will enhance its defense capabilities immensely and send "a big and stern" message to those eyeing its sovereignty, an obvious reference to China with which it is engaged in a tense border standoff.
"In case of an air battle over the Himalayas, China may have to deploy five to 10 aircraft to each Rafale due to the obsolescence in its fleet," N.C. Bipindra, founder and editor of defense news portal Defence.Capital, told the Japanese newspaper, adding Beijing may still have the numbers for such a large deployment, "but it is ultimately the capabilities that matter in a net centric air battle."
Thought recent report that one of their MIGs crashed.
DeleteTheir pilots kopi licenses ones.
Just like the Taiwanese Americunts fighters also crashed.
Or Dotard Trump sold them defective ones.
China had women fighter pilots.
Want to fight China.Better pick their bones
'People who live in glass houses should not throw stones'
ReplyDeleteThose who do will find that when stones are thrown at them in return, their glass houses will go to pieces.
Australia better be wiser. Never think that those business lost from China will always come back in better times. The Chinese market is sixty times the size of Australia's and China can do without Australia, but not the other way round.
Many countries have and will enter the Chinese market with their agricultural products and once they capture the Chinese market, it may be forever. Russia and those countries along the BRI are building up their trade with China. Australia can strut like a rooster now, but it's head will land on the chopping block soon.
Don't play around with India. They are now number two in the world. Oops, I mean in COVID19 infections and rising rapidly.
ReplyDeleteYou see, like Trump, this is not a problem for Modi and that is why India will go to number one soon, probably by end October.
The big problem for India is diverted towards China, the same problem for USA with the same objective. The deadly virus, according to Trump, which is COVID19, can be covered up and the spread can be diverted towards their invented problem with China. Then everyone in USA and India will be saved.
Sing along please, Americans and Indians! Sing the same anthem!

ReplyDeleteEven the air defence system bought by the Saudis from the USA failed to work during the missile attack on the Saudi oil facilities. And it was a rag tag attack by low tech Yemeni tribesmen, mind you, not sophisticated Iranian missiles.
Right, what's so ever Defence you have, you are Not invincible.
DeleteAmericunts may be conning the Arabs coffers in buying their obsolete pass out dates weaponry.
India's new Rafale jet can fly maximum height 50,000 feet, but China's J-20 fighter jet can fly maximum height 66,000 feet!
ReplyDeleteHi Anon, just one SAM aka Surface to Air Missle will do by the Chinese.
DeleteCheers
Indians as usual talking cock. All of you remember what these snakes are crowing today. They are saying they are superior to the Chinese armed forces, well prepared to take on China, just like the 1962 border war. But after the humiliating defeat they would turn around and said they were unprepared, caught by surprise, the Chinese have better weapons etc etc.
ReplyDeleteThey would say the same thing again when defeated by China a second time. They would then claim Rafales are inferior to Chinese fighters lalala.
Just a thought about air defence systems which may on paper be effective against anticipated missile attacks with calculated trajectory from the air. Against ground attacks using RPGs or rocket launched attacks at ground level, those systems are useless.
ReplyDeleteI am not an expert, but in a war, that which is thought to work in theory, does not work in reality. In Vietnam, they thought carpet bombing and the use of agent orange to destroy the vegetation will extinguish the enemy, but they never thought the enemy could move underground, something which were not in the textbooks.
Not to worry. The five eyes can trade among themselves. An eye for an eye. Or poking their noses into each other's affairs. That will be the day to come!
ReplyDeleteSome in Australia say they should look to India as relpacement to China for its export. Either these people are ill informed or making a big joke
ReplyDeleteIndia doesn't even make the list of the top 5 trading nations. The next 4 nations' combined trade volume after China can't even match China's. India is the most protectionist economy in yhe region. And if they make a trade deal, it certainly would be most favorable to themselves like CECA. No surprise India is the only nation to opt out of RCEP once the agreement includes members to import more with one another. Australia will be in deep shit if China weaponise their Australian trade and ensure they will never get out of their current recession after nearly 30 boom year trading with China
Australian leaders, politicians and elite are the stupidest people around.
Hope aust will go down the hill then girls there become cheaper cause now very expensive. I sill love the blondes with the two large melons
DeleteAustralians are not only stupid but white racists.
ReplyDeleteHi RB, if Australia is a poodle of United States of America, what would you classify Singapore? A baby poodle puppy?
ReplyDelete'India is the most protectionist economy in the region' unquote
ReplyDeleteThat is the absolute truth. Why did they not join the BRI and RCEP? Because they then have to open up and compete with the rest, killing off their small businesses. Moreover, India has to spend a fortune on building infrastructure from scratch to support big businesses, which they do not have the money to spare. This is their chicken and egg situation.
Indian politics has always been to cater to local small businesses to provide most of the jobs. These small businesses are preventing the opening up of India to big businesses. Sure they can have more CECA, but the jobs will be overseas, not in India. And not all countries are dumb enough to give jobs to non citizens when their own are facing massive unemployment.
That is why the dream of a US5 trillion economy is a far fetched dream, now with the COVID19 disaster still ravaging the country. It will take years even to reach their present level of US$3 trillion after the pandemic is over. They can only do that by opening up to investments by big businesses, which they can't due to political inhibitions.
Indonesia is smart. They told the USA and China not to try to ask Indonesia to take sides in the South China Sea dispute. They have a wise leader in charge.
ReplyDeleteIndonesia can do that. Can Red Dot do that?
Singapore would ask, which side you want me to take?
ReplyDeleteHI Anon 5.08pm
ReplyDeleteYou are mistaken, Singapore would not ask that. Singapore would ask " Which side would give me more financial benefit? "
Singapore and Singaporeans always seek financial rewards.
Indonesia is allowing both China and US to build Naval Base in her territories.
ReplyDeleteWhy Singapore only allow US and India to use Changi Naval Base which was built with Engineers from China. Why never allow China to use it?
Because of money?
Because the master said so.
ReplyDeleteOf course China had been outlawed in many things by the West eg the space program. China had to go from scratch by itself to build rockets, go to the moon and build their own space station. Now the Chinese are exploring Mars.
Trump always said that they help China to prosper. But China does not take US money without providing goods in return, all legitimate business deals in every sense of the word.
China did not steal USA jobs. Their companies choose to relocate to China because of the cost differential, not to help China without profiting from the benefit of China's cheap labour cost. Do not be mistaken that some USA companies are relocating to Vietnam and India because of Trump, but is also for the same reason of cheaper labour cost and not to help those countries out of human conscience.
Both China and lndia are ancient civilizations of over 5 Thousand Years with over a Billion in population each. They share a border of over 3 Thousand Kilometres.
ReplyDeleteHistory has shown they co-exist for over 5 Thousand Years very well. ln fact the Chinese even embrace Buddhism which originated from lndia whole-heartedly till today and likely for a long time to come.

Five thousand years of living in peace. All harmony lost because of the last five hundred years of White instigation.
ReplyDeleteThere is one saying by Native Americans that 'If you see two fishes fighting in the water, look around and you will see a White man nearby'. How true!
There is the Middle East, Africa, South America, South and South East Asia due to the South China Sea, all initiated by Whites.
Go figure!
Lunar Seventh Month still on! Gates closing anyway!
ReplyDeleteSomeone must be burning quadrillions of hell notes.
ReplyDeleteAs much as Australia would like all to believe they are independent thinking and not a lapdog of the US, many of the recent moves against China are :
ReplyDeleteUS ban Huawei, Australia was then the next and only country to ban Hauwei. According to then PM Turnbull, he banned it because there wasn't any other western 5G tech around besides Nokia and Ericcson which were lower quality, and not because his intel agency had discovered Huawei wasn't safe.
US blame China for COVID19, Australia call for intl investigation into China and WHO for the virus after PM Morrison talked to Trump.
US blame China for interference into domestic politics, Australia also investigated alleged China's interference into Australia' affairs even passing a law.
US blamed China for incursion into India territory along the LAC and immediately Australia took the same line as well- only the 2 countries to take side on the issue.
Pompeo ruled China claims of the SC Sea with the 9 dashline illegal and Australia also made a complaint to the UN about China on SC Sea.
US investigated and banned Chinese media, students and Australia did exactly same viewing Chinese media personal and students in the country as potential spies for CCP even raiding the homes of 4 Chinese correspondents in which China only recently revealed after Australia and the West blamed China for harassing western journalists in China.
So are these actions by US and Australia pure coincidence or that of a master/lapdog?
And if its the latter, then Australian has some of the most ignorant, pompos but foolish leaders in govt given so much of their prosperity is derived from China trade .
They should look to New Zealand on how to handle sensitive matters with China, another 5 eye country but with none of the chest beating and loudspeaker hypedup anti China diplomacy like them.
China should teach this American lapdog a lesson by cutting off trade, stop buying food and commodities from Australia, stop sending students and tourists there.
ReplyDeleteChina has started on that and Australian businesses are crying for mercy. Rest assured, what China did is only scratching the surface just to send a message. When the message does not register, trade may be totally diverted to other countries for good.
ReplyDeleteThe poodle can trade with each other as smaller markets cannot absorb the losses left by the huge China market.
