COE up ah, si beh ho ah! Make a lot of money ah!

"I am relieved that the COE market did not crash, as that would cause a lot of misery to secondhand dealers and existing car owners who may need to sell their cars," Said Khaw Boon Wan

SINGAPORE: Certificate of Entitlement (COE) premiums closed higher across the board on Wednesday (Jul 8) in the first bidding exercise since tenders were suspended because of COVID-19 restrictions.

For Category A cars, or those 1,600cc and below with horsepower not exceeding 130bhp, premiums closed at S$33,520, up from S$31,210 in the last exercise in March.

Premiums for larger and more powerful cars in Category B rose to S$35,889 from S$30,012.

Open category COEs, which can be used for any vehicle type but end up being used mainly for large cars, rose to S$34,989 from S$32,500.

COEs for commercial vehicles, which include goods vehicles and buses, rose to S$24,502 from S$22,002 in the previous bidding exercise.

Motorcycle premiums closed at S$7,702, up from S$4,489 in the last exercise.

Above is from CNA.

What shall I say? Is this a good thing or a bad thing? About 10 bidding sessions were held back, meaning 19,490 quota were accumulated and only to be released over the next 12 months. Sure the second car dealers would be happy.  Really? Sure, those wanting to sell their cars would be happy. Really ah?  Who do you think would be the happiest? More money to collect.  This is for sure.  Those that have to buy new cars and new motor cycles are crying. Who cares? You die your business.

When all the businesses are down, when people are losing jobs or fear of losing their jobs, the COE is the only thing that went up. Is this a sign of prosperity, or as someone might have said, the economy must be good or else people where got money to pay so much for a piece of paper? And some parties are happy. But silence on those people adversely affected by it. This is called telling half truth, or telling the alternative truth. Depends on which side you are on the fence, you can be happy or crying.

COE up ah, si beh ho ah. Everyone making money ah. You know who made the most money?  And who hurt the most? The poor buggers that need a car or motorcycle for a living.  Is this good or not? We are with you, for you and also makan you until your pocket empty.

  10. Election Results - Cannot Understand Why?

Many people cannot understand why PAP wins all the time.

Not only won but also can predict very accurately, almost like magical power of a top notch witch, in sample votes with 1-4% deviation. How can that be so?

Not only that, it is so eerily and uncannily shocking that it can almost always win by will (not by wishing but by will-power from God)!

The answers may be found in the following questions, if you know how to think like Sherlock Holmes:

    1. Who controls and commands the Elections Department?

    2. Who controls and commands those who prepare the voting cards and voting boxes?

    3. Who controls and commands those who transfer the voting boxes from polling stations to the counting centres?

    4. Who ensures that those voting boxes are not tampled with at any time - before and after voting?

    5. Who controls and commands those who do the counting?

    6. Who controls and commands the Returning Officer?

    7. Who controls and commands the police and military personnel who "helped" in the whole process of the election, wearing plain clothes?

    8. Who controls and commands the People's Association and its deep pocket of $1 billion budget that can be spent anyway anyhow without transparency and without accountability?

    9. Who controls and commands the Corrupt Practices Investigators from the CPIB?

    10. Have you ever heard of Clean and Fair Politics in your life?

I have yet to hear, read, see or witness any clean politics being practiced in the world.

All I have heard, read, seen and witnessed is

    1. "politics is dirty"

    2. "power corrupts" and

    3. 'absolute power corrupts absolutely".

I am not suggesting anything. So don't put your thoughts or words into my mouth. You form your own conclusions and keep them to yourselves, please.

    Thank you. Cheers!

    God Bless!

  12. I did some straw polls, 60% for opposition. Actual polls in the GE 60% for PAP.

    Funny, funny, funny.

Why the need for sample counts before the full results are out? Are the sample counts supposed to show if something is going to go really wrong with the final results and precautionary measures can be taken? Example the win is going to be 90% or more?

  13. From The People By The People For The People, OR From The PAP By The PAP For The PAP?

In every election, without fail, the various political parties involved in the hastings and campaigning are bound to project to the unthinking and lazy-to-think and brain-dead voters that they are part of them, belong to them, and will represent them in parliament, and work for them tirelessly, and sacrifice for them, blah blah blah.

In reality, in all practical intents and purposes, inked in historical records in the Hansard, the PAP ministers and members of parliament are controlled by the PAP's WHIP. The Holder of the PAP's WHIP will dictate to all the PAP's ministers and members of parliament to VOTE ACCORDING TO THE DECISION ALREADY MADE by the PAP's Central Executive Committee headed by the Secretary-General of the PAP, who happened to be, by design not by coincidence, the Prime Minister - the Supreme Power of the Land!

There is a dire need for political education in Singapore. After 55 years of Independence, at least 70% to 80% of voters are still politically naive, backwards or pathetically apolitical. This is a clear reflection of the serious neglect and blatant irresponsibility on the part of the education system in tandem with the political system of the country.

Essentially and responsibly, all students and eligible voters must be made to understand and wake-up their long-slumbering, hazy-fazy ideas that "PAP ministers and members of parliament DO NOT represent YOU" in the Parliament when come to voting for any motion, law, change to the sacred Constitution, or anything of importance to the people.

When the time comes to take sides, PAP ministers and members of parliament will, without qualms nor hesitation, side with and represent the Supreme Leadership of the PAP. They will definitely NOT represent YOU or vote on your behalf nor for your interests. This fact has been established again and again and again for the past 55 years.

So, is it "From the people by the people for the people,
or is it from the PAP by the PAP FOR the PAP?

  14. Follow-up from @ 3:35 pm

The answer is obvious. Indicators are:

1.Paying themselves out of this world salaries and bonuses from taxpayers' money.

    2. Converting foreigners to pro-Paparazi citizens and voters to ensure perpetual power within their grip.

    3. Ensuring pro-Paparazi uncivil servants behave loyally and subservient by feeding them with high pays and bonuses from taxpayers' money.

    4. Put up all obstacles to ensure Opposition parties cannot make much headway in Parliament.

    5. Design and execute measures that suppress and oppress dissent.

    6. Total and full control of all mass media to serve as the only mouthpiece to indoctrinate the voters and alter public sentiment.

    7. Total and full control of all organs of state, especially the Grassroots organisations, the Elections Department, CPIB, Police and Military.

    8. Total and full control of the Presidency, Judiciary, Legislature and the Executive Branch of the Government and most importantly, all Intelligence agencies of the country.

    9. Total and full control of the economy, trades, industries, real estate and housing.

    10. Redrawing of boundaries every 4 to 5 years, just before the elections.

    11. Devising and implementing the Group Representation Constituency to create obstacles to Opposition parties and force a dilemma into voters' decision making process.

    QED.

  17. When after setbacks in every GE, the PAP will tell Singaporeans they will listen to the ground and do soul searching.

I know they will listen, but they do not hear. The thing is what the ground hinted to them they will still take those feedbacks as mere noises and kpkb, which will be brushed aside soon enough.

The PAP's thinking is that what is good for them elites must also be good for the ground. And the ground's thinking is never important to the PAP. It never was, never is and never will be.

      PAP will never change.
Only the electorate can convince PAP they have to change."

  18. Low Thia Kiang:

"You can debate the PAP until the cows come home. PAP will never change. Only the electorate can convince PAP they have to change." -

    Me (SSO):

"In order for the electorate to convince PAP to change, the electorate must first be convinced to convince the PAP.

In order to have a convinced electorate, the electorate must have conviction to want to change.

In order to create this want to change, the electorate must see the need to change.

In order to see the need to change, the electorate must not be blinded or side-tracked.

    Two questions:

    1. How can you ensure that the electorate is not blinded or side-tracked amidst the daily bombardments from the PAP's propaganda machinery that has tentacles everywhere?

    2. How are you going to convince the part of the electorate that is brain-dead, apolitical, naive, unwilling to change or too old to learn new tricks?

Don't waste your time arguing with PAP Ministers.

Spend your time talking and convincing Singaporean voters instead.
