Covid19 - A valuable lesson from China by Bruce Aylward

China has changed course of COVID-19 outbreak: WHO expert

China has changed the course of #coronavirus outbreak, says a WHO expert in Geneva. Bruce Aylward says a rapidly escalating outbreak in China has come down faster than previously expected. (recorded)

The above is a very informative video clip of a report by the team leader, Bruce Aylward, of WHO that visited China near the peak of the epidemic. The video was done on 9 Mar, the date tells how it was then, and how the world, especially Europe, failed to heed the advices given by Alyward and is paying a very heavy price for it today. The lessons provided by China were never learnt by Europe and instead of preventing more Wuhan, Europe has turned into another Wuhan, not just Italy or Spain.

What is interesting or disgusting is that Bruce Aylward kept reminding the viewers that though he was the head of the WHO team that visited China, he was not speaking on behalf of WHO. Some asses in WHO must have protested for what he said was in a way praising China's effort in containing the virus. And finally WHO head, Tedros also came out to say the same thing as Aylward, praising China and telling the world to learn from China. This to the West is shocking, how can WHO praise China when the West especially the Americans were trying their daily best to condemn China, after spreading the virus in Wuhan to blame it on China?

Bruce Aylward had a very good understanding of the Covid19 and how China managed to curb its spread and the valuable lessons could help to prevent more Wuhans outside China. It was a wasted effort as the epidemic in Wuhan, stopped by China, is now a world pandemic with Europe as its new epicentre and the USA next.

This is a 55 min video worth listening to. Aylward said then that the world was not ready but could be ready very fast. Unfortunately many countries did not take him seriously and were unprepared and thus not ready when the virus hit. China bought them time, done it and showed to the world how it could be done....but the world missed this golden opportunity to slow down the spread of Covid19.

To Bruce Aylward's credit, he made all the necessary recommendations at the last part of his presentation that could have helped many countries in the handling of this pandemic.

After the coronavirus crisis, world opinion will make an even bigger shift favorably toward China.

FT yesterday said Chinese President Xi Jinping has genuinely performed very well during the crisis compared to US President Trump.

You are Right On! Praise the Lord for bringing home so many of HIS faithfuls to His Heavens.

Safely in the Arms of the Lord.
So many funerals eulogies always praised the same.

Likewise, their counter part cousins from the same Source.
Abraham and Ibrahim. Jacob and Yacob.

Seemed so many of their faithfuls are being promoted to safely with the Lords.

So far, blessings. Faithfuls to temples praying for peace and protection are not adversely affected.

Must be the Fate from Heavens.

  4. It would take one or two generations for the rest of the world to look at China differently. The present generations have been poisoned by the West for 2 centuries like our bananas. The blacks and Africans and Arab/Muslims still idolise the Whites despite being bullied and killed by them everyday.

China and Chinese were in the same boat but just standing up against the Whites. The Chinese did not do them any harm but still being hated by them. This is the power of the western media. See this Covid19 pandemic, actually started in the West but blaming on China and the unthinking still choose to believe in this white lie.

Today China maybe helping the Italians but when they recovered they will screw China and Chinese again in cahoot with the Whites.

This is a very dangerous thing to door. HDB cannot allow this to happen as it compromise the safety and security of our citizens especially the young, the old and the womenfolks.

How can such things be allowed, dormitory for a bunch of wild and sex starved men in the midst of HDB estates?

Maybe, they also acted as sub contract for labourers.

Rest stayed in and make Hell of noises during the days and nights.

Worse is that sometimes extra came from India and they slept at below void decks due to space constraints.

Also, they have an iron chain to their Iron gate and each time some goes out, they pulled the chains making hell of a racket.

My complaints to the Authority falls on deaf ears. Maybe this new owner is a PAP kia kee liang.

Until one fine day, nearly six to seven units owners complained than they evicted them.

The EO of the Area Office with her subordinate came to personally supervised the eviction.

I came out and told her to repocess their flat as the nee owner do not even stay for a night after purchase.

She told me that they have their own jurisdiction and that the owners are the same old owners.

      Only leased out for rental.

Now renting out to six or seven China women and men.

Another unit next to mine six to seven Filipinos with Vietnamese.

Not all will be housed in S'pore --- maybe up to 150K to 200K. Focus on the more essential job roles.

Govt & civil servants already started working on this last night 10+pm when M'sia surprise announce on us.

Govt & MND & HDB are looking to waive certain laws to allow short-term rentals.

Over the last 12 hours, govt has already pre-booked hundreds of hotel rooms to help companies house their M'sian workers. Good news for our budget-to-mid-range hotels!!!

No secret ... details & discussions have been ongoing with MNCs & SMEs since last night ... and will be announced on TV news soon.

As for who pays .... taxpayers will pay first lorrr .... Govt will work out with companies on payment .... But definitely taxpayers will bear up to 50% cost for the companies.

Never mind, Sinkies are rich ... can always up water/gas/electricity tariffs & GST to 20%! LOL!!!!

MOM to offer lodging for stranded workers amidst Malaysia's lockdown
Hotel accomodations and HDB rooms will be made available.

In view of Malaysia’s announcement to implement a lockdown, the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) has worked with private and public sectors to make available a range of short-term housing options for workers who are stranded in Singapore, according to an announcement.

A range of hotel and dormitory options in Singapore will be currently available, as well as accommodations of rooms and whole property in both the HDB flats and private residential property market.

The GOVERNMENT WILL also be working with the hotel and dormitory providers to PROVIDE LOWER COST RENTALS.

MOM has advised companies to encourage workers who commute across the Singapore-Malaysia border frequently to stay with their relatives, friends or colleagues in Singapore. Meanwhile, the ministry is also asking employers to continually assess their manpower as to whether they do need their affected workers to remain in Singapore.

In providing assistance, MOM said that it will prioritise the needs of firms that provide essential services such as healthcare, security, cleaning, as well firms in the waste management, facilities management, logistics and transport business.

The GOVERNMENT is looking to PROVIDE FINANCIAL SUPPORT for companies who need to urgently accommodate their affected workers.

IT TAKES AT LEAST 3 MONTHS TO WIN THE WUHAN VIRUS:-

    http://www.straitstimes.com/business/companies-markets/sasseur-reit-reports-encouraging-first-day-reopening-sales-at-china-malls

Sasseur Reit reports 'encouraging' first-day reopening sales at China malls

SINGAPORE (THE BUSINESS TIMES) - Sasseur Real Estate Investment Trust's (Sasseur Reit) manager on Tuesday (March 17) reported "encouraging" first-day reopening sales at its outlet malls reopened since they were shuttered amid the coronavirus outbreak.

The four malls in China brought in sales totalling 11.5 million yuan (S$2.3 million) on their respective reopening dates, a 129 per cent increase from the corresponding dates a year ago.

The Kunming property was the first to reopen on March 11, followed by the Hefei mall on March 13 and the Chongqing and Bishan ones on March 15.

(LOL!!!! THERE IS A "BISHAN MALL" IN CHONGQING CHINA!!!!)

In late January, the real estate investment trust's (Reit) manager closed the malls for periods ranging from 44 to 49 days, in response to the spread of the novel coronavirus in China.

There was "strong pent-up demand" from shoppers who had to minimise their social and shopping activities when the Covid-19 outbreak was "very severe" in China, said Anthony Ang, chief executive of Sasseur Reit's manager.

"Now that the situation has greatly improved, we are seeing a healthy flow of shoppers back to our malls and it is now business as usual," Mr Ang added.

While there will be an impact to the Reit's sales performance for Q1 2020 due to the closures, its sponsor - Sasseur Cayman Holding - will ensure that the Reit continues to receive the fixed component of the resultant rent according to the entrustment management agreement.

The Reit will also receive the variable component of the resultant rent, which is pegged to actual sales, Mr Ang said.

The Sasseur group has also actively planned and rolled out marketing and promotional events to celebrate the reopening of the outlet malls.

Sasseur Reit units were trading at $0.59 as at 2.59pm on Tuesday, down $0.02 or 3.3 per cent.

  13. During this time when we face an unprecedented public health crisis, to conduct a general election would force voters and poll workers to place themselves at an unacceptable health risk of contracting coronavirus.

The only thing more important than a free and fair election is the health and safety of Singaporeans, who mustn’t be forced to choose between their health and exercising their constitutional rights.

  16. It is the same kind of thinking that was formulated decades ago, when everyone in the West were of the opinion that the communist Chinese system could never outperform or move ahead of the Western democratic system.

And when China did move ahead, it touched a raw nerve of the West, particularly the USA. It then dawned on the West that China had to be stopped by hook or by crook. Hence the sabotaging of Huawei, the trade war, the daily demonization of everything Chinese and even smearing China for the current outbreak of coronavirus.
