Assassination of Soleimani a rude reminder to Kim Jong Un not to meet Trump again

The Trump administration claimed Iranian general Qasem Soleimani was planning “imminent attacks” on US interests when it assassinated him. That lie was just destroyed, but not before countless corporate media outlets transmitted it to the public.

By Max Blumenthal

Desperate to justify the US drone assassination of Iranian Major General Qasem Soleimani, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo insisted that Washington had made an “intelligence-based assessment” that Soleimani was “actively planning in the region” to attack American interests before he was killed.
President Donald Trump justified his fateful decision to kill the Iranian general in even more explicit language, declaring that Soleimani was planning “imminent attacks” on US diplomatic facilities and personnel across the Middle East.

“We took action last night to stop a war,” Trump claimed. “We did not take action to start a war.”
Trump’s dubious rationale for an indisputably criminal assassination has been repeated widely across corporate media networks, and often without any skepticism or debate.

At a January 3 State Department briefing, where reporters finally got the chance to demand evidence for the claim of an “imminent” threat, one US official erupted in anger.

“Jesus, do we have to explain why we do these things?” he barked at the press.

Two days later, when Iraqi Prime Minister Adil Abdul-Mahdi addressed his country’s parliament, Trump’s justification for killing Soleimani was exposed as a cynical lie.

According to Abdul-Mahdi, he had planned to meet Soleimani on the morning the general was killed to discuss a diplomatic rapproachment that Iraq was brokering between Iran and Saudi Arabia.

Abdul-Mahdi said that Trump personally thanked him for the efforts, even as he was planning the hit on Soleimani – thus creating the impression that the Iranian general was safe to travel to Baghdad.

Source:  https://thegrayzone.com/2020/01/06/soleimani-peace-mission-assassinated-trump-lie-imminent-attacks/

The above article made it clear to all the American treachery and deceit in the assassination of Soleimani. The Iraqi PM was duded by Trump to invite Soleimani to broker a peace mission in Iran Saudi relations. Soleimani flown to Baghdad thinking that he was there to negotiate for peace with the Saudi govt.  He flew there in a commercial aircraft on a peace mission, not as what the Americans had been lying to the world. And on his arrival, the American drones were there waiting for him at the airport and took him and his entourage out in cold blood murder.

The Iraqi PM is furious for being made a fool of, and made use of, just like Justin Trudeau, by Trump, and became an accomplice to the assassination of Soleimani. How stupid can the Arabs be to continue to believe and trust the evil Americans? Soleimani would not have been so stupid to visit Baghdad if not of the invitation and the assurance that the evil Americans are supporting his visit and peace mission.  Now the Iraqis are demanding that American troops leave Iraq but the Americans would not leave. They were invited to be in Iraq?

Kim Jong Un must be wary of the Americans and stop meeting Trump again if he treasures his life and not be assassinated in the next meeting.

  3. Friedrich Engels - The Father Of Capitalism

Friedrich Engels (28 November 1820 to 5 August 1895) was a German-English industrialist, social scientist, author, political theorist, philosopher, and father of Marxist theory, alongside Karl Marx.

In 1845, he published "The Condition of the Working Class in England", based on personal observations and research.

In 1848 he co-authored "The Communist Manifesto" with Karl Marx, and later he supported Marx financially to do research and wrote "Das Kapital".

After Marx's death, Engels edited the second and third volumes of "Das Kapital".

Additionally, Engels organized Marx's notes on the "Theories of Surplus Value" and this was later published as the "fourth volume" of "Das Kapital".

Basically, Capitalism was introduced by Marx and Engels as a new challenge to the then Monopoly of the Rich and Powerful Elites in the World.

However, the Rich and Powerful Elites quickly branded it as Communism and Bad. And for decades, Communism has been painted as the Enemy of the People, where in effect it is for the People. But Enemy only to the Oppressive Ruling Elites.

How can the concept of benefitting the masses be bad? Unless, of course, you are looking from the narrow perspective of the Selfish, Self-Enriching, Oppressive, Ruling Elites, who endeavour to suppress and oppress the masses while benefitting themselves with instant and immense wealth, and to cater for the comfort and ease of their own descendents, relatives and cronies.

That is exactly what was happening then in Europe, and happening now in many countries - right in front of your eyes and under your noses - with the monuments and structures symbolising opulence and splurge coming up everywhere, for the glorification not of the country but of a few past and present shameless dictators.

  4. When unabridged Capitalism reaches its peak, it would be ripe for Communism to step in to destroy the wealth accumulated by the super rich at the expense of the poor.

In 1949, China did that after the Soviet and French Revolution. China executed the landlords that fleeced on the poor farmers. I am surprised that they allowed the new landlords to continue to fleece on the poor Hongkongers without executing them. The only reason is that time has changed and the poor are not so poor in Hongkong and Capitalism has not reached its peak and would not be given that China is now the owner of this once pure capitalist city.

  5. Karl Marx killed half his own children & condemned his family to 60 years, a lifetime of poverty ... simply becoz he was too lazy & proud to work. And you want to follow him?!?!?!

There's a good reason why his neighbours in Germany & later UK rejected him & his ideas. These people could see, hear & interact with Marx and they didn't like what they saw or heard.

It was only unscrupulous warlords & powermongers that resurrected Marx's ideas 1 & 2 generations later to con the illiterate Russian peasants & China farmers to become the sacrificial soldiers to conquer the countries for those warlords & powermongers. This modus operandi was than exported to other 3rd world countries.

LKY used a version of this tactic when he pretended to support & befriend the socialist & communist labour unions in winning over the majority of locals who were semi-illiterate in the 1940s & 1950s.

  6. Anon 9:59, What are you talking about?

The CCP were not warlords that exploited the farmers using Marx's idea, but adapted and sinicised his idea to turn China into a rich and powerful and progressive country and the poor farmers are now rich Communist Chinese that can afford to travel the world and throw their money to the once rich westerners and SE Asian countries.

Without the CCP, the poor Chinese farmers would till be coolies around the world and be sneered, insulted and bullied even by third world SE Asian countries.

Many of them are richer that the asset rich and cash poor Singaporeans still smarting that they are better off than the Chinese. Many average Chinese yuppies are now in the same state as the Singapore yuppies of the 70s, buying cars for personal use at the price of a song. The yuppies of Singapore today can only afford HDB flats and spruced up bicycles for leisure. Can't afford to buy a car or at most a 1000 cc car.

  7. If the CCP were anti farmers, they would not have the support of the Chinese masses and won the war against the corrupt, so called democratic KMT. Period.

Look at what China is today under the CCP and what Taiwan is under the KMT/DPP.

  8. @RB,

China farmers became pawns & internal coolies in their own country for 30 years from 1949-1979 before Deng Xiaoping said "Fuck It" to Mao-ism & Marxism.

Even till today, millions of rural china are still living a coolie lifestyle in their own provinces. That's why millions need to move to urban centres for work & why millions need to move back for CNY dinner.

The danger of having "strong" leaders running a country is that it is so easy for those leaders & their balls-carriers to start believing their own hubris & their own unique abilities & transforming into elites who are special breed from the masses.

This is what happened to PAPies under LKY in the 1980s & is slowing happening to Xi's cohort.

  9. Do you think the Chinese, including farmers, were better off since 1949 than they were before 1949?

The Singapore success story is about to be over with wildlife from Third World countries seen as better than Singaporeans.

The success story of China is just beginning.

  10. The early phases of CCP rule were a period of experimentation to improve the lives of the Chinese people, not to impoverish them. The odds against a new CCP govt were extreme as the country was bankrupt and lack trained and educated manpower and the West were imposing all kinds of sanctions and pressure against the newly united China. Just like the sanctions against NK, Iran, Columbia, Venezuela etc etc.

It was short of a miracle for the CCP govt to succeed and become what it is today.

  11. The success of Singapore for 3m people has been gloated over and over again as an economic miracle, a success story.

How does this compare to the success story of 1.4b poverty stricken farmers that took only 40 years and with all kinds of oppression, isolation and blockades by the West?

China today is an economic miracle never seen in the history of human civilisation. No matter how the West try to suppress and ignore this phenomenon, they could not hide it from the rest of the world, from those that have eyes and see.

No amount of treachery and mischiefs and pressure from the West can stop China from over taking them in every field of human endeavours. We are witnessing a new chapter in the history of humankind unfolding right before our eyes.

Today China has everything mentioned above. The four largest banks in the world are Chinese banks. HDB takes 5 years to build a block of flats. China takes 3 days to build a 20 story building.

  19. @ Singapore Tasty Sunday Dinner, zir cha reality check:

A regular highlight of every trip I make to Hotel Singapore is to ditch all notions of "healthy diet" and put on my foodie (typical Singaporean) hat.

Do you like zir cha? I fucking love GOOD zir cha, and what better than to spend a Sunday evening with good friends and family spinning a Lazy Susan filled with delicious zir cha creations and engaging in lively discussion? That's what I did, last night at a famous zir cha place in the Balestier area.

Successful zir cha operators are the epitome of Singaporean MERITOCRACY. They start with a small stall at some kopi tiam. Then they become popular and expand operations due to one simple fact: DELICIOUS FOOD...this is a completely FREE MARKET phenomenon...create value for lots of returning loyal customers who will spread the word to their friends. Simple. No bullshit. Straight up success or immediate failure.

Sooner or later the conversations turn to local politics. Last night's topic kicked off with the death of former "badd-ass" CJ YONG PUNG HOW, who was a mediocre law student but a judge in a class of his own. Appeal a sentence and lose, he'd DOUBLE the punishment. 🤣🤓. It's a little wonder why he and Lee KY were classmates.

And so we move on to Seperation Of Powers. I let out a BIG LAUGH which caught everyone by surprise.

My point was this: Everything ANY GOVERNMENT tells you is laced with BULLSHIT. Doesn't matter which cuntry...Singapore, USA, ASEAN or EU or Middle East...every sovereign authority tells LIES to their tax-paying citizens.

Best part: The citizens DON'T CARE. They just turn a blind eye, have "selective hearing" and just get on with their lives.

So whether it is Chan CS spruiking the "benefits" of foreign talents or the Ayatollah or Trump accusing each other of this and that, or Kim threatening to nuke the USA, or Mahathir playing Harapan against UMNO...They are all LIARS spinning out wayang-stories to FUCK WITH OUR MINDS...and complicit and relaiable partner: the Mainstream Media.

Here are the 4 ASSHOLE institutions which "divide and conquer" we the unsuspecting tax-payer:

    1. Government
    2. Academia
    3. Corporations
    4. Mainstream Media

They all need each other so they collude with each other to make SUCKERS out of us.

What to do? Find some "lobang" 💲💰💲 and exploit it for you benefit. Then...

  27. @ all, voluntary permission to deceive:

Consider a magic show or a horror or super-hero movie. Everyone loves magic shows, horror and super-hero movies. They are entertaining. They are emotionally stimulating. They are also built on COMPLETE BULLSHIT...and yet, we all voluntarily give our permission to be individually and wilfully DECEIVED, SHOCKED and EMOTIONALLY-PLAYED purely for the sake of our own individual, self-interested desire for ENTERTAINMENT.

i.e. We are willing to be BULLSHITTED TO if we get something of "greater value" in return. So we suspend our disbelief for the sake of entertainment. Let's face it, if someone said that magic is real or that there's a monster lurking around or some person flying thru the air singlehandedly saving the world we simply would not believe them...not ever, under any circumstance.

I have mentioned the 4 socio-economic-political institutions who are champions of BULLSHIT who achieve their objectives by ascribing themselves some arbitrary "authority". 1) Government 2) Academia 3) Corporations (especially the publicly-listed ones) 4) The Mainstream Media. They fully understand that the average, normal, non-hostile individual human will willingly suspend their disbelief if you know which buttons to press.

And so we have BULLSHIT as the "glue" which holds societies together. None of the abovementioned fuckers give a shit about you or me. They only care that they perpetuate their powers, influence and extricate as much of our hard-earned money and COMPLIANCE from us like the automatons, slaves, serfs and indentured labourers they would like us to be.

The question we all should be asking more: Cui Bono? (who benefits?)

Who stands to benefit from each piece of bullshit which is thrust into societies' common narratives? Ask yourself that. Why in the fuck should we expect any of these LIARS to tell the truth? ...unless it is to *their benefit* where they use a fragment of truth to launch another round of BULLSHIT.

Let's take US vs Iran...an ongoing saga for at least 40 years. Who benefits from sanctions? Fucking Arab-world black-marketeers of course. Who benefits from armed conflict? Bankers, politicians and defence contractors. Also "safe haven" motherfuckers...like Singapore. (benefitting in BILLIONS from Hong Kong's implosion to the point the govt. is playing it down). Long-side oil future traders. Saudi Arabia....the list goes on. Spread more BULLSHIT and the money rolls in...provided you are on the "right side" of the trade.

Key points applied to Singapore life:

    1. Our whole modern narrative is heavily built on BULLSHIT. People just "close one eye" and "go with the flow".
They wink at the govt "Eh kotek, we know lah".
The govt winks back at The Sheeple "Eh cheebye, we know that you know. Now you know that we know you know...so just continue to vote for us lah, cos we KNOW!"

    2. Be on the "right side" of the trade. When bullshit is out in the open and people who willingly give permission to be deceived know that they are being deceived, all that is left to do to ensure you come on top is to be on the right side of the trade.
OTOH if you want to be a "hero" (just like the fictional super-hero movie) and get on the opposite side, it will COST YOU a price. Make sure you are willing to pay or you will be poorer and unhappier.

Stay in wilfull delusion by all means, but try to make a profit! 💰💲🤓 BTW, no one gives medals to super-heroes. Especially not on National Day.

But $3K/mth inflation adjusted passive income without any job is still not bad --- BETTER than 67% of sinkies. The average Sinkie is only looking at roughly $1.5K retirement passive income.

The S’pore Economy had been chugging badly, more like stumbling on exhaust fumes left behind by the now-extinct Globalisation effort which ended over 3 years earlier.

When Trump truncated the TPPA immediately upon swearing in as POTUS on November 2016. And over 3 years later, Trump initiated the US-China trade wars by unilaterally imposing tariffs on China-originated goods in 2019. S’pore’s economy immediately took a deep dive! Why?

A technical recession was avoided purely because of the concurrent Big Ticket Infrastructural Spending re: MRT new construction, Paya Lebar Urban reconstruction, roads & civil works, etc.

Why do you think suddenly there was the Upgrading Exercise on the existing North-South & East-West Lines? All these type of Infrastructural Spending will only lead to more debts (& a higher cost of living down the road).

How do you compete Internationally with a high cost structure & with a distinctly 3rd world workforce “enticed” from lesser countries using a seductive SG$?

Where is the competency? the relevant skillsets? the Productivity? In truth, there is none!

And when they in their own countries, a high proportion of them still “shite” outside in the open!

After Artificial intelligence comes online, what happens next? Can S’pore even reach 10 million?

There is already a Paradigm Shift within the Global Economy. The sun is setting in the West (US, EU) & rising in the East (China, SEA). Those who can’t understand this are doomed to fail. Like those 70% voters in 2015 GE.

China are already blazing a trail within their own economy. Their cashless system is already going to be nearly 10 years old beginning around 2010 to 2013 (in rollout stages). 5G/6G Mobile Network is China’s to lose but there is no real competitor over the horizon.

It took S’pore too much time to even rollout their digital banking mechanism (for cashless payment):
    * First identified in 2017
(a good 7 years after the fact – And China’s politicians weren’t even paid millions yet they had the 1st mover advantage); &

    >> 99.99% CMI losers here won't understand your little speech lah. <<

Nevermind lah. I just write, even if it is just me reading it, because I love to write and try to "practice" daily.

I just wanted to add my 2 cents into the CMI-crowd "belief" in isms: e.g. Communism, capitalism, socialism, Marxism, cronyism, progressivism.... they know all the "isms" but have no grasp on the true meaning of the abstraction or aware of the likelihood of them being deluded and UNAWARE.

In every situation, we have to choose. Not choosing is also a choice. And once we make a choice it is a trade-off, and it also NEGATES all the other possible choices we could have made.

Our existence occurs in the temporal and spatial realms, governed and LIMITED by the "laws" of physics. I this sense, what we perceive as "time" is a non-renewable, unsustainable FINITE RESOURCE (when our time is up, up the lorry we go!)

All the "isms" in the world are invented by humans. However, uncertainty evolves from the very fabric of "reality". None of the "isms" has been able to cope with the ULTIMATE JUDGEMENT of randomness and uncertainty. Every "ism" predicts certainty, and every "ism" has been humbled by physical laws relating to entropy, uncertainty and randomness. Every time philosophy and physics clash, philosophy is exposed for the fraud it is.

So...our existence is determined by physical law, and every outcome is eventually dependant on UNCERTAINTY having the final say. But we have to make choices and trade-offs to continue existing, which leads me to the idea of always trying to be on the "right side" of any trade...and being aware that even if you did everything "right" and chose well, UNCERTAINTY can always fuck up the show and go against you...through no mistake or fault of your own.

    Cheers!

Without knowledge of any alleged threats, the State Department didn't issue warnings about specific dangers to any US embassy before the administration targeted Qasem Soleimani, Iran's second most powerful official, according to the sources.

The State Department sent a global warning to all US embassies before the strike occurred, a senior State Department official said and the department spokesperson confirmed, but it was not directed at specific embassies and did not warn of an imminent attack.
