VVIPs at National Day Parade

For the first time the heads of govt of Malaysia, Indonesia and Brunei were sitting in the front seats outside City Hall to watch our National Day Parade. This is a good sign of improving relations with our neighbours. And the minister given the task to make the VVIPs comfortable and felt welcome is non other than our Emeritus Minister Chok Tong. And he was coveniently seated next to Mahathir to make Mathathir feel Singapore wanted good relations with him and with Malaysia.

Here is a pic of the close relationship between Singapore and Malaysia and Chok Tong and Mahathir at City Hall on 9 August 19.

Oops, the words above the photo was inserted by some jokers, dunno who.  But it was all in jest. Think Mahathir and Chok Tong would not mind. If they do, I would remove the pic. There were other interesting and cheeky quibbles circulating in the social media like whatsapp and others.

Relac lah. Watching the NDP was meant to be entertaining and fun, like going to a big concert. Smile please.

  1. Good to see Dr Mahathir attending Sinopore's National Day Parade. Singapore has an Indian President. Malaysia has an Indian Prime Minister. Sinopore is no doubt girating towards an Indian-phobic State.

  4. Think you are right. They shared the same thought about something disgusting and showing in their faces. No need to mutter a word.

  6. Perhaps Dr M was thinking hard how to make Singapore pay more for the price of raw water sold to Singapore lah.

See his face expression maybe he was thinking, what the hell, 3 cents per gallon only?

As for GCT, maybe he was thinking, shit with TCB in opposition now, PAP this time may really lose 2/3 majority or even lose the next election. And CSJ can become MP.

  7. "tulan" is when you own your HDB flat ... but PAP government tell you that you cannot do an en bloc sale like other owners of 99 year leasehold private property

  8. Even Trump and Kim Jong Un can shake hand.

So what's the big deal about Dr M sitting next to GCT at Sinkieland NDP?

As for the Brunei Sultan, he was already a very close friend of the late LKY. He was even pictured visiting LKY (who appeared all skin and bones then) shortly before LKY died.

As for Jokowi, he had even attended his son's graduation ceremony at ACS Singapore. So what more at NDP?

All this much ado over nothing. I think PAP is just trying to score some political points before election.

  18. The Singapore "Swiss-standard man" appeared to be unhappy judging by the body language. I think he is not fit to be seated next to the Prime Minister of Malaysia. Dr Tan Cheng Bock should be ideal but the white emperor alrdy treated him like an enemy.
