For the
several decades post WW2, the Americans were the number One super power that
ruled the Indo Pacific theatre of war. American forces were based in Japan, S
Korea, Taiwan, the Philippines, Vietnam, Thailand, Singapore and Australia,
plus the military fortresses in Guam, Hawaii and several Pacific Island and
Diego Garcia in the Indian Ocean. These military bases were bolstered by the
presence of the 7th Fleet with hundreds of warplanes and thousands
of marines ready to fight wars in any corner of the Indo Pacific region.
No country
in Asia is able to meet these over powering military forces of the American
Empire. China lives precariously under constant threat of a preemptive strike
and invasion by the American forces. The Americans were haughty enough to sail
their aircraft carriers into the Straits of Taiwan to threaten China with
impunity. Needless to say, smaller countries like N Korea and Iran were easy
meat and could be invaded at any moment just like the poor Arab countries.
Asean countries at best are to shut up and live with the might and fear of the
American Empire or become running dog of the Americans.
While N
Korea and Iran could not do much to fend off the American threat as it is a no
brainer who would be blasted out of the surface of the earth if the Americans
attacked them. The imbalance of military power is so stark that both countries
could only hope to build some nuclear weapons to do a die die together with the
Americans as a little insurance and deterrence, however feeble is the attempt.
China would
not sit idly by and continue to endure the military threats and bullying of the
Evil American Empire. The Taiwan Strait Incident and the mindless and
irresponsible missile attack on Chinese Embassy in Belgrade by the Evil
American Empire was the last straw. China must build up its military forces to
defend itself and prevent a repeat of such incidents fast.
China came
up with the anti access and area denial strategy, AAAD to keep the Americans at
bay. This strategy called for the development of anti aircraft carrier missiles
to force the Americans to keep them far away from China’s coast. China
succeeded with the deployment of D21 and D26 anti ship missiles that made the
American carrier attack groups irrelevant and ineffective in launching an attack
on China mainland. The 7th Fleet is no longer in the equation of
containing and threatening China with military force.
The
Americans are very unhappy with this change of military balance. Their only
forces that could pose a threat to China are the land bases in Japan and South
Korea. The bases in the Philippines, Vietnam, Thailand and once Taiwan, have
been booted out. The American strategic interest to be able to continue to
threaten China is to establish more forward bases in Asean countries, stupid
countries that would allow American to base their soldiers and military
hardware to conduct wars with China.
What does
this mean? At the onset of hostility and war, these land bases would be the
first to be destroyed by Chinese missiles based in China and now in the South
China Sea. Chinese missiles have effective range to strike all the American
bases in S Korea, Japan/Okinawa, Guam and Diego Garcia, and all the Asean
states. Thus, hosting American bases would risk these countries to be on the
front line of a Sino American war and be the first to be hit. How many thinking
or unthinking govt would want to take this risk when the Evil Americans are
constantly provoking wars and seeking to start wars even with China?
The price to
pay for hosting American bases is very steep and only foolish countries would
want to do that. The Okinawans knew of this threat and want to chase the
Americans out of their islands but to no avail as Japan is a semi colony of the
American Empire and cannot say no. Also, the Okinawans were not really Japanese and are dispensable. The situation is the same as in S Korea,
another semi American colony.
The
Philippines were the smartest and knew the risk and sent the Americans packing
home from Clark and Subic Bases. Vietnam did the same by chasing the Americans
from their homeland. But things are changing again with little countries and
their little interests and willing to be courted by the Americans to open their
countries to host American bases. Between stupidity and genius is a fine line. Or
is it between stupidity and delusion is a fine line?
The
Americans are desperately seeking countries to be their forward military bases
to conduct wars of aggression and to maintain American dominance and the
American Empire in the Indo Pacific theatre of war. The Australians would always be a willing
partner as they regard themselves as European western powers. So is New Zealand, understandable as they are Europeans sitting on stolen lands from the natives. India is wavering
but reluctant to become an American semi colony due to Indian pride as an
emerging world power.
Who else is
silly enough to want to be the gun fodder of the American Empire, to die for
the American Empire? The Evil American Empire will be holding the poison flower
to woo any willing partner to be their front line soldiers in the defence of
the American Empire.
Americans, although not perfect, still better than Japanese or whatever. At least americans help americans to succeed. Chinese only know how to jealous, never help each other. Just look at father, son and hojin spirit. How much they have taken from us and never help us succeed but always dumb us down?
ReplyDeleteHappy 2019.
Uncle Sam fought two major wars in Asia and lost both. The battlefields in Korea and Vietnam were soaked with the blood of thousands of fallen GIs. The PLA proved that Mao was correct. Uncle Sam is a paper tiger. Uncle Sam still harbours illusion of its superiority. The 7th Fleet and all the bases in South Korea and Japan are sitting ducks should a war break out. China is ready to fight Uncle Sam. Its hypersonic missiles are game changers. The man-made islands in the Spratly are unsinkable aircraft carriers. Uncle Sam and its poodles are no match against a Sino-Russian alliance.
ReplyDeleteKim JongUn has exposed the hypocrisy and duplicity of the evil Americans.
ReplyDeleteIn their push for unilateral denuclearisation of North Korea, while the Americans retain all the nuclear weapons in the South and in Japan, Trump and his war hawks think Kim and the Koreans were daft to be dictated to go naked for them to strike and invade their country.
In CNA it was reported and I quote, 'North Korean leader Kim Jong Un said on Tuesday that his resolve for complete denuclearisation remains unchanged but he may have no option but to seek a "new path" if the United States continues to demand unilateral action from North Korea.'
The treacherous Evil Empire is demanding that every country must not have nuclear weapons except they, the Evil Empire, so that they can rule and attack anyone they like and at their whims and fancy.
In the same paper it was also reported that the Americans are going to acquire 3 more Ford class nuclear power aircraft carriers, with capability to launch nuclear strikes at any country, particularly North Korea, when it has no means of fighting back if it is silly enough to denuclearisd.
'WASHINGTON: The U.S. Navy has informed lawmakers of its intent to pursue a block purchase of two Ford-class aircraft carriers, Senator Tim Kaine's office said on Monday, a step officials have said could save billions of dollars as the Trump administration tries to expand the size of the fleet.
The decision comes nine months after the Navy expressed interest in a block buy and asked shipbuilder Huntington Ingalls Industries for detailed pricing on the cost of two aircraft carriers as it considered doubling its order for the most expensive ship in the U.S. fleet in a bid to save money.
The Navy commissioned the first Ford-class aircraft carrier, the USS Gerald R. Ford, in July 2017, three years behind schedule and billions of dollars over budget. The Ford cost about US$13 billion.
The Navy has said it would spend about US$43 billion (33.8 billion pounds) in total to build the first three ships in the Ford class. Huntington Ingalls Chief Executive Mike Petters has said multi-ship purchases are the best way to reduce costs.'
The Pai Kai British cannot even settle their Brexit Exit wants to have a Military Base in Asia, preferably Sinkieland.
ReplyDeleteTheir Pound kena pounded 1.6 plus stll wants to how lian.
Never remember they scooted off when the Japs advanced them.
Their what's Royal Navies sunk by the Japs.
Now our Bananas Leaders still worshipped them and want to celebrate the Founding of Raffles.
The Whites are now Papuers still believing that they are Princes.
Happy New Year
All countries serve their own interest. The Philippines were the first to wise up. Uncle Sam cannot be trusted. The Syrian conflict is one example. By withdrawing its troops, Uncle Sam left the Kurds, France and ISIS in the lurch. All China and Russia need to do is to tell Japan and South Korea to stand down or get utterly destroyed. It would be enough to push them into a profound state of indecision. So war is unlikely. The end result is MAD for everyone.
ReplyDeleteUncle Sam never wants to win, he only wants to make $$$.
ReplyDeleteWin or lose not important. $$$ is more important.
The choice is to be a loser with lots of $$$ or
to be a winner with little $$$.
The choice for Uncle Sam is obvious.
Agree. Uncle Sam just wants perpetual unending wars when two sides keep fighting and killing each other by buying weapons from them and getting indebted.
ReplyDeleteThe Pentagon was said to have spent about US$21 trillions 'unaccounted' for, from 1998 to 2015, presumably on all forms of secret manoevers like organising overt military activities to destabilise regimes, and undercover undertakings by the CIA, such as assassinations, all over the world.
ReplyDeleteThis shows how serious they are to dominate the entire world using their military might. With money from thin air, why not?
N Korea's Kim says he wants to promote economic progress. But in truth that will not come about much, because Kim would never completely denuclearise as dictated by the US. On the other hand US sanctions will not be lifted until Kim denuclearise completely. Without the lifting of sanctions, progress is limited if not difficult.
If what Trump did in Syria, and what he intends to do in Iraq, that must send a strong message to Japan and South Korea that, when the time comes, they too would be thrown under the bus as well. Provided, of course, if Trump is able to get re-elected for a second term, which is highly unlikely. But who knows?
China and Uncle Sam have been playing cat and mouse in the South China Sea. A lot of sabre rattling. Taiwan is at the heart of Sino-US rivalry. Koreans kiĺled each other in Korean War. Vietnamese killed each other in Vietnam War. Uncle Sam would love to see Chinese killed Chinese by instigating Taiwan to declare independence. Uncle Sam has made billions through its divide-and-rule plus warmongering tactics for decades. Uncle Sam is making a huge mistake if it misinterprets China's restraint as weakness. China will not compromise over the Taiwan issue.
ReplyDeleteThe US has already lost the Indo-Pacific Theatre strategically. The last straw was DPRK-South Korea's vow before their ancestors on Mt Paektu in Sep 2018 never to war with each other ever again. There is now no more reason for Japan to rearm (except to revive their Co-prosperity Sphere Dream) and the US Fleet/military to remain on the Korean Peninsula.
ReplyDeleteThe US has just signalled its new engagement with China in Africa. Trump's remaining years (whether 2 or likely 6) till 2024 will see her withdrawal or draw-down from the Middle-East and Indo-Pacific. Don't hold your breath as to who will prevail in Africa.
Yankees go home, still applies today. Yankees go home, Korea had peace. Yankees go home, Vietnam.had peace.
ReplyDeleteStupidity & Jinx will invite Yankees, n stir shit & wars.
Unlike 1950s n 60s n 60s. Now provoked countries missiles can hit the bootlicker nations.
So the IDEA that we can serve as R&R centre for Yankees as in 60s n 70s n profit frim being a bootlicker n make money cannot work anymore. Advanced technology & missiles have changed the terrain of the Game.
Wake up!!!
Japan will rearm. Now that Trump has ideas of withdrawing troops all over the world, that is another reason they will be forced to do so.
ReplyDeleteJapan still attempts to 'rewrite history' by claiming that they were trying to 'liberate' East Asia during WW2, but China, Korea and all of SEA would not swallow that. Of course Japan would love reviving their 'Co-prosperity Sphere of Influence' dream but that would just be a dream, because China today is not the same as the old days.
How the political situation will develop is still to be seen.
Looks like my strategy of buying war stocks 20 years ago still very profitable today!! :)
ReplyDeleteThis was the only good outcome of my 2.5 years NS in armoured infantry charging through red mud of Sg. Gedong and yellow sand of NE Queensland.
Made me curious about who upgraded the M113s and who made my Milan anti-tank missiles and GPMGs, and who sells them to Mindef?
After a while I realised those big profits are in the ammo, missiles, electronic systems, guidance systems, and aircraft.
China has deployed JL2 missiles. They are China's second generation intercontinental-range submarine-launched ballistic missiles. Each Jin submarine can carry up to 12 of them. It gives China a second strike option. China has also started putting multiple warheads on its largest missile, the DF-5. This has set alarm bells ringing in the Pentagon. As China’s power grows, the costs to Uncle Sam containing China grow with it. Uncle Sam will soon reach the point at which the costs of containing China outweigh the benefits. China, on the other hand perceives its dominance of the Pacific Ocean as essential for its long term security due to its history of maritime invasions by the Japs and the West.

@Virgo,
ReplyDeleteI've been enjoying life for 10 years already. Becoz of my war stocks, I was able to retire at 40 --- so far so good! :)
And PAP still gives me GST cash vouchers & utility rebates every year since I'm officially jobless and "zero income"! Hahaha!!
You know something?
Over the last 10 years as a free-living bum collecting a few thousand dollars of dividends every month, I slowly got to know more & more rich bastards & owners of capital, as well as those straight-As balls carrying & back-stabbing YPAP...
And I realised that rich bastards & elites are the ones having good karma ... their parents & grandparents living long healthy lives, enjoying bird's nest & shark's fin & abalone every few days, and pass away peacefully in their sleep surrounded by 100s of great-grandchildren, grandchildren etc.
It is those typical Sinkie masses, trapped in siege mentality & blame mentality that are suffering the bad karma. So many with health & children & money & job problems --- their problems continue on to their children and great-grandchildren. Go to any coffeeshop --- you see them 9 out of 10 Sinkies!
Happy New Year!! I know it'll be another one for me! :)
ReplyDeleteMatilah, your time of sickness with too much Rich Food, birds nests, abalone and etc had not come yet.
It will come one fine day when you are not fully aware of it.

ReplyDeleteThe Americans are "masters of the game" lah when it comes to global military adventurism. Russia just announced a 20x speed of sound hypersonic weapon, China has a whole lot of fancy, hi-tech war hardware...and yet the balance hasn't shifted. America's Pentagon chiefs are clearly worried about the developments in China, especially at the RAPIDITY of their arms race.
But the global military scene is shifting. Japan is re-arming. Germany is re-arming. Just a few days ago, the Brits are setting up bases in SE Asia, and its down to Brunei or Singapore. I say to them, "I say old chap, why not use both cuntries? You'll delight the bananas and coconuts everywhere. If you turn out to be be good fellows, perhaps INDIA will allow you a few bases too!" 🤣
ASEAN nations are already in Uncle Sam's pocket lah. That is unlikely to change anytime soon. The "hold out" is probably Malaysia. But When "temporary PM" Dr M goes, I will bet that Malaysia will be part of a US-led SE Asian "alliance".
Australia is a complete dead loss. We might as well burn our flag over there and hoist Old Glory . The culture is increasingly Americanised...slowly disappearing are the charming artefacts of Aussie culture --- like larrikanism (free wheeling prankster at large), freedom of Aussie speech (definitely more hardcore than USA), the good old Irish tradition fo having a punch up, then having a beer "no hard feelings", slapping women's arses and asking for sex, making racial, political, sexual and religious jokes....and other things considered by the rest of the world as "uncouth" or "vulgar" behaviour but to people who live in Australia, they're part of the cultural charm. 🤓
Embracing too much American culture is bad for Aussies. At least the Aussies made the word "cunt" cool. Now nearly everything which comes out from Hollywood has the word "cunt" in the dialogue. 👌🏽👍🏻 Whilst the silly Yanks still believe "cunt" is a term of derision, they have failed to grasp the Australian nuance. In Australia if you don't regularly call your BEST FRIENDS "cunts", they will believe that you don't like them anymore, and you won't be invited to an their pagan devil-worshipping drunken orgies any more. At least that's been my experience. 🤡 So I make sure I greet all my mates with "H'ya goin' you old cunt? Guanxi Aussie style.
Actually with Trump in the Whitehouse, there is a chance that the US pulls out and goes home. One thing I'm starting to like about him, is he seems keen on doing just that. Another BONUS is that Trump quarrels with ALL the Five Eyes Partners --- with the exception of New Zealand (so far) --- a small cuntry whose claim to fame is (mostly) fake, overpriced Manuka honey.
Trump has had hassles with the UK, of course Canada, and snubbed Australia...wah, DAMN GOOD. His personal relationships with Xi and Putin are probably better than his relationships with the leaderships of the other Five Eyes partners. 😹
I'm starting a Twitter account specifically to "advise" DJ Trump on following a "Fortress America" philosophy. Withdraw the troops. The withdraw the US Dollar as the global reserve. Return America to the vision of its Founders: Mind your own business, and protect the homeland; don't have foreign entanglements.

As for Karma, because it does not happen immediately, so the heroes will always be acting heroic. Let them be!
When even religion has lost its battle against evil, even religious leaders have lost the ability to convert. Let them be too!
Enjoy your New Year! And remember - good health is already wealth!
When uncle sam exits a certain region, its because he has sucked dry that region and has to move to another more lucrative region. That region, I think, is asia. Its all about $$$.
ReplyDeleteSolution: someone should embrace more democratic values so there is no way uncle sam can employ that divide and rule strategy. asians fight asians will be pure stupidity and please do not let history repeats itself. alternatively, have a huge disaster and asians help asians will also help build good relationship.
China is a fast learner. History taught the Chinese not to trust the white men and the Japs. It learnt from USSR that trying to keep pace with Uncle Sam in an arms race is self-defeating. So an arsenal of 300 nuclear warheads is more than enough as a deterrent. It learnt from Uncle Sam that maintaining hundreds of military bases all over the world and embarking on war adventures are financially delibitating. So China maintains only one military base in Djibouti and eschews indulging in regime changes.
ReplyDeleteKnowing that money can influence behaviour, China focused more on trade and investment. As China grows richer, it can afford to spend more on defence and gradually it will attain superpower status. Such an eventuality is a natural corollary for China because it learns from the mistakes of others.
@ Virgo -- you have me wrong!
ReplyDeleteEh, uncle I will bet you than in my "normal routine" I eat way more healthily than you, being a VEGAN and occasionally "cheating" in to the area of vegetarianism. My daily intake of just veggies-fruits-nuts is 1-1.5 kilos, because that's ALL I eat. Normally.
However in this particular trip to the wonderful Hotel, I have dropped the above and gone full LOCAL OMNIVORE --- I'm eating everything! Chicken rice, rendang nasi padang, kuay chap, ngo hiang, soup tulang, roast pork belly, Indian rojak, plus the delicious ang- moh stuff available here --- cheese, bacon, aged-steaks, desserts...bring on the cholesterol, high fats fucking pork lard... then thrown in Guinness stout, Tiger Beer and XO and CIGARS lah. When in Singapore, go for broke! (this time only lah)
@245 --- fairy tale believer:
You can relax. There's no such "thing" as karma. We all die. We all get sick --- for whatever reason, no matter how "healthy" or "righteous" you are (or claim to be) --- you will DIE! ⚰️
Life is short. Resources are limited. The future is uncertain...but we still have to make choices.
ASEAN can no longer be depended on by Uncle Sam to tilt the balance of power in its favour. ASEAN is in the midst of a discussion with China to draw up and implement a Code of Conduct.
ReplyDeleteChina seeks ASEAN agreement not to allow foreign interference whenever a problem surfaced between them. It also seeks ASEAN agreement not to allow foreigners to share resources such as oil and gas if found in the SCS. In return, China will have to give up its 9-dash line claim.
What are the implications if the PAP elites allow the Brits to establish a UK military base in Singapore again ?
ReplyDeleteThe peoples concerns are top priority.. Hahaha. High costs of living is obvious n all the bikes are from the same govt n policy makers. . Hahaha.. .you tell me... Con yew or kon you or kongcome you? More n more of this the other 30.1% will also become stupid. 69.9% Blessed New Year... To higher n higher costs n more n more BigBrospeak.
ReplyDelete1. War is the extension of foreign policy, to the USA.
ReplyDelete2. Perpetual War is both the overall national and military doctrine of the USA.
3. War is, therefore, inevitable between China and the USA.
4. War is also inevitable between Russia and the USA.
5. If India is smart enough, she should not allow herself to be pulled into a proxy war with China or Pakistan, or any other countries.
6. Asean countries are just expendables in the eyes of the USA policy-makers, especially their war-hawks (civilian politicians who have never spent a day in the military), like John Bolton & company.
7. Where will the next war be fought?
