A friend forwarded this video to me. He also did not know who shot it and I could not give credit to the videographer. RB is the last runner in the inner lane. The first runner in my team was Tan Nam Chong, second runner Jeffrey Boh and third runner was Cheong Seng Quee, my primary school classmate.
Wah, Mr Chua, Good Run. Second Runners neck to neck plus final runners close at first few meters.
ReplyDeleteYou first or second runners at last lap???
Cheers
ReplyDeleteMe Can never run at that speed now unless CAR Park lai loh.
No more shouting by kopi ladies with out megaphones.
Cheers
Running last leg.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations, RB and fellow relay runners. Watched the video. Your first team-mate gave your relay team a good start. Your momentum was awesome. That final 50m burst of speed looks as if you press the afterburner button. You hit the tape with lots to spare. A well-deserved victory. Once again congrats.
ReplyDeleteWahhhhhhh ...
ReplyDeleteGo ... Lao hero ... Go!
But at that speed very "siong" on the joints at the ankles, knees and hips ...?
Even the arms joints and shoulders can get the strain lor at such speed?
Need a lot of training, conditioning many months or even years before hand and plenty of pre-race warm up to avoid joints strain pounding under such pace during the race ...?
(Really) Not easy lor.
Probably practise Tai Chi for exercise easier ...
Or follow the advice of ex-blue eye poster boy go pick cardboards and push trolley carts under hot sun less "siong" ...?
Lucky TCJ didn't advise oldies to exercise by training and competing like RB ...?
Whew!
But good thing is such training would likely burn lots of calories.
So some occassional indulgence in 2 to 3 bowls of rice and a big bowl of stewed pork legs or pig trotters wouldn't do much damage to the boLEE?
If nvr exercise much better dun eat too much
If not the oil coming out of the boLEE's pores cumulatively each day is enuf for frying sunny-side eggs?
Actually I misread the finishing line. The couple of curved lines confused me, thought I have reached and slow down prematurely, then realised mistake and tried to pick up speed. Wasted some precious seconds.
ReplyDelete👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🤜🏼 🤛🏼
ReplyDeleteFantastic. Explosive power. I like 😁
Wow! Mr Chua excellent run. Power man!

True.
While watching, also confused by the 2 lines before the finish.
Can notice you slowed down after the first line, only to realise the finish line was further ahead and you had to accelerate again till the end ...
Siong ...
How come the garmen never allocate any resources and manpower to indicate the finishing line prominently?
Also how come no "wire" line at the finishing point for the top finisher to feel the thrill of touching the line first?
Usain Bolt will probably be shaking his head profusely if he was to know such lackadaisical attitude of LaoGoanomics to support sports for the oldies masters fraternity
Wow, you're good.
ReplyDeleteMe, getting down flight of stairs, my knees hurt already.
SG Girl
But then Uncle Chua, better dun ask them or accept their "support"?
ReplyDeleteCos you might be "sabo-ing" your fellow sinkies ...?
Christmas coming ...
Later give "one chicken feet" then take back "one 20-footer container load of turkey" from fellow sinkies?
By then, "SIAO LIAO" ... Worst than kena this Quah Cha Mati African Tua Kee ... (Pockets, Wallets, Bank Accounts might peekchai and "bleed profusely")?
There are many more goods with "inelastic demand" besides petrol, water, public transport, electricity, parking, sugar ..... for them "to come after (poor) sinkies (meagre and miserable) remaining (pocket) $$$"?
Regarding this eCONomics "elasticity" concept, hope more oldies and daft sinkies can spend some time to understand it, so that they can better appreciate how SHAMboLEE might come after their "pocket" ($$$) and learn how to (preemptively) deflect away such "vacuum" aimed at their "pockets, wallets and bank accts"?
PS: Akan Datang ... Coming Soon ... 即将到来 。。。Next, MSN eCONomics "lecture" (by resident eCONomics "expurt" aka "Puah Tang Sai" :))) - Topic: Consumer Theory including Indifference Curve, Utility Function including for imperfect substitute aka Cobb-Douglas Function, Marginal Rate of Substitution (MRS), Utility Maximisation under Budget Constraint, Langrangean Multiplier, Intertemporal Budget Constraint, Substitution Effect, Income Effect, Compensating Variation, Equivalent Variation, Elasticities, Effects of Sales Tax etc. Pls indicate your interests by kee chiu-ing here or thumbs up also can ...:)))
