An Indian national working for state bank DBS has just been arrested
for defacing the Singapore flag. According to state media Straits
Times, Avijit Das Patnaik posted a photo of the Singapore flag being
ripped apart to reveal the India national flag on Tuesday (Aug 14).
Avijit, who have held the Singapore permanent residency for over a
decade, wrote “Phir bhi dil hai…”, which translates to “Still my heart
is…” on the post to express his patriotism for his motherland India.
The above is posted in thestatestimes. I cannot blame the Indian national, a local, yes a local, for having his heart in India. In this sense I am proud of him, for he knows where his patriotism should lie, a proud national of India. If he is to say his heart is in Singapore because Singapore brought him here, gave him a good job and good pay, then he is nothing better than a lying mercenary that would betray his country for money.
Every citizen of any country must be proud of his own country and his heart must be in his own country. I can't say that for the daft Singaporeans. Their hearts are always somewhere else and bringing foreigners to take over their country does not mean anything to them. They either don't mind and are clueless about what it means when their country is taken over by foreigners. Maybe they will know when the day comes when they are driven out of their country as boat people, stateless.
Now some are very proud to call the foreigners locals, when these foreigners' hearts are in their motherland. This point is double confirm by the above incident.
PS. Any foreigner that showed disrespect to the Singapore flag and anything Singapore must be sent home.
Today's Shit Times stated that the what's Malay kana Lee lau hia community is worried of the floods in Kerala.
ReplyDeleteYou think the Sinkies Bananas will worried when China is stuck with disasters???
And one chap Cheng also accused Sinkie Chinese of been loyal to China.
Whereas his own kind can be loyal to their Mother Land and not adopted Land that gave them the Good Lives.
Pui!!!
Reminds me of the story of the Trojan Horse.
ReplyDeleteA citizen of India expressing his loyalty for India.
ReplyDeleteWhat is wrong with that?
- but say only lah
- don't anyhow tear up the Singapore flag
- true or not?
A Singaporean expressing his love of foreign talents.
What is wrong with that?
- but say only lah
- don't anyhow import until Singaporeans become jobless
- true or not?
ReplyDeleteMatter of Time, they will exposed their True Odours.
When they have already have their Paraststics Full and ready to scoot when all is barren.
MMW.
Avijit Das Patnaik made a monumental error by making his feelings for his motherland through posting a photo with the Singapore flag ripped apart to reveal the Indian flag. It was an act likely to stir up nationalistic feelings. The PAP government is fearful of fifth columnists. He is in hot soup. Discretion is the better part of valour. Avijit Das Patnaik may be deported for his lack of discretion.
ReplyDeleteThe PAP call as "locals" these India national PRs !
ReplyDelete"We are 5.7 million," Loong said.
Actually nothing wrong with the India national expressing his love for his own country India.
ReplyDeleteBut what does the ripping off of the Singapore flag to expose the hidden India flag signifies ?
The lurking below the surface ?
@ RB
ReplyDeleteYou've indicated that this fool is PR. That means he's a guest, and his visa comes with certain conditions.
If his "heart is in India", then it would follow that the rest of his physical body ought to be reunited with his heart.
He shouldn't be allowed to continue his "suffering". As Singaporeans we want this hapless fellow to be a "whole person" again.
Therefore he should be given a police escort and put on the first plane to India. To ensure that his heart and the rest of his person never get again separated again, cancel his PR visa and ban him from any further entry.
Human beings do really dumb things. This is one such example. What was this arsehole thinking? 😂🤣
What motivated him to apply a lot of effort to craft such a thing? He appears to have an artistic streak, and might even have ambitions of becoming a "hipster EDGY artist" like Andres Serrano who did "Piss Christ" or Chris Ofili who offended the world with "Holy Virgin Mary" (look em up!).
If that is the case---that this fella is actually an artistic genius---then we should welcome and embrace him and his muse.
We should also lobby the govt to get the National Arts Council to award him as much money as possible, and The State should commission works of art so that this guy can unleash his crucible of creativity and advance our reputation as the world's foremost example of art and culture!
Nah... maybe not. He's a piece of shit.
Kick the cunt out. Freeze his CPF. 🤣
Feel like canceling my POSB credit card as DBS employed this chi bai . . .
ReplyDeleteGKS was a loyal Singaporean. He instituted "the localization of top management" on MNCs operating in Singapore. Koh Boon Hwee was one of the many local beneficiaries to be given a chance to be top dog as MD of HP then. GCT sabotaged Singaporeans interests n reversed GKS policy n instituted FT tua kee policy. The damage is n will be enduring. This cuntry is n will have very few loyal citizens. Its leadership by example of FT tua kee n pay me lots n lots of money as top public servants philosophy. GCT is really the worst PeeM money-face n history will likely confirm this 20yrs from now..
ReplyDeleteThis is not an isolated case.
ReplyDeleteIn his defence, this Indian National working for DBS bank, Avijit Das Patnaik, said someone else has designed the poster and that many others have copied it and displayed it on social media already. So, he thought nothing wrong to copy it and do the same thing as his fellow countrymen have already done.
May be that someone he is referring to also works for DBS bank? And DBS bank's present CEO happens to be an Indian National too. Could that someone be the CEO of DBS bank?
The question is: Why the Police only arrested this Avijit Das Patnaik?
How about the others? Why let the others off the hook? The law must be applied equally, isn't it.
Justice must not only be fair. It must be seen to be fair!
All those Indian expats who "liked" Avijit Das Patnaik's post should also be arrested, and deported !

Dun sabo OldDragon leh ... No no no, cannot be "Buay Tua Buay Suay" ... ND rally speech is only reserved for you know who ... Regardless what he wants "to sell" ("Hai Kow Yew", "Hai Gong Yew", "Sian Tao You", "I Gong You", "Hai Chee Yew", ......) Whatever "Yew" OldDragon got no ctrl (over) it, though
OldDragon is neither in the position (to give any rally speech nor interested.)
Nonetheless, OldDragon sees it as a compliment that you see mee "up up" ...
If it is "MSN" speech, mb can consider ...
But must get Mr Chua prior "点头" though?

12.57 pm, the rest already took down the image lar, u think they stupid to wait for sg police to arrest them meh. Anyway sg really need the Indian. If u visit Unilever, the TOP dogs there majority are Indian with some Pinoy in the marketing department. U will see sinkies taking lower level jobs so the mix from ministry of labour will look acceptable Lor. 😀

ReplyDeleteCha Tao din just stopped on the national lvl lah?
He also instituted in his family? No?
Who did the quitter gal gal married (& have sex with - in the assumption they miat have comsummated their marriage)?
Some foreign banks in Singapore ended some Sinkies' employment as they outsourced some work to India nationals.
ReplyDeleteAnd to add insult to injury, they asked the retrenching Sinkies to stay a few more months to teach the Indian nationals their work.
There's talk that one foreign bank's work by the Indian nationals - after all the Sinkies in the department left - was so screwed up that the foreign bank's Singapore-based head kena called up by MAS.
The bank's retrenched Sinkies ended up looking for 6-month bank contract jobs thru head-hunters (who are mostly foreigners!)
ReplyDeleteAvijit Das Patnaik does not realise that when in Rome he must do what the Romans do. Many Singaporeans find the PAP government dishing out PR and citizenship generously to foreigners disagreeable but will close ranks against any foreigner who shows a lack of respect or loyalty by desecrating the national flag. The government will be forced to punish Avijit Das Patnaik as an example to all foreigners.

ReplyDeleteMy son recently went for an interview for what's their IT Department and told me that chances very very slim lah.
Think all these just wayang wayang as interviewed Singaporeans and said ALL not qualified and then Ahem, our countrymen.
I had a nephew in their Head Office as what's Vice-President. But I do not want to pull strings as must compete on metro crazy as Best Man for the Job and fellow Sinkies also needed the Job.
Since he left as redundant by his old Company and now last three months still Roam The Streets. I told him that times now really bad. So, in future, when you have one that is really SECURE. Make sure you must treasure it and by hook or by crook safeguard your job even to the extent of Sabo your Colleagues and curry flavors with the Bosses.
This is the only way to survive in Sinkieland.
Last time, within one month had dozens jobs offers for his line of profession.
Alternatively, have to bring him to see Genting Boss in Highlands and applied for a job there.

So, he thought nothing wrong to copy it and do the same thing as his fellow countrymen have already done. <<
Ah, this fellow Avijit Das should win the award for "Employee of The Month" for the stellar example in displaying monumental personal responsibility 🤮💩💩💩
"Not my fault! I blame others! Can't you see I'm THE VICTIM here? It is UNFAIR that I should be singled out!"
Fuck this asshole. He did something objectively wrong and now he insists in DOUBLING DOWN.
This is where we need a Chief Justice like Yong Pung How to judge the case :---when you're guilty but choose to double down on your "victimhood", so does he: Yong Pung How will double your sentence! 👍🏻👏🏻 (I miss this guy, He was damn good fun and amazing value! If he stayed Malaysian and became Chief Justice there, Najib would be defending multiple charges of treason, and facing the death penalty now 😂 )
Justice Yong was a baddass. You don't want to do anything that would get him to judge you. He will fuck you up! 🤓 There was a period there when Yong was CJ and S. Jayakumar was Law minister. Fuck, those were fun days. So much hilarity from our law enforcers. 🤣
...anyway I digress
What Avijit Das should have done is cop the blame and take full responsibility, then apologise sincerely publicly, and humbly ask for forgiveness for his lack of judgement. Since he really didn't do any physical harm---he just offended his hosts, a sincere apology and offer to redress would have sufficed. "No harm, No foul".
Reasonable people can judge for themselves. If they think Avijit Das is sincere, they will forgive him and the matter would end there. If they chose not to, Avijit Das would be ejected from Singapore on the next plane, and the matter would also end there.
But oh no...Avijit Das decides instead to Yaya and double down.
India, take back your garbage. We like it clean in Singapore. Don't send your trash, who comes into our house as a welcome guest, and then proceeds to shit on the carpet in the living room, just to make a "cute statement", refusing to apologise because they are "blameless".
This is the time for Singapore to step up and adhere to its reputation of being a no-nonsense place when it comes to using our laws to SMASH assholes.
Forget justice. I like REVENGE! 🤣
Sinkieland will soon have policies like Matland.
ReplyDeleteThey have 'Malay First' and we will have 'Indian First'.
And we can then shout 'Sinkieland boleh'!
I terminated my DBS bank accounts as a protest when they employed the ANG MOO as it's CEO.
ReplyDeleteI terminated my POSB bank accounts to express my displeasure when they employed the Indian National as its CEO.
Now I have no more bank accounts with DBS and POSB. So I cannot protest any more. Life goes on.

Unfortunately "Hai Kow Yew" peddler and cronies are up in their ivory towers smoking cigars, choo loot and savouring lemon flavoured oilstirs? Do they know or hack care what is survival at the ground level? They just act blur sell you "Sian Tao You" and already increased taxes here there everywhere such as 30% rain water tax, 20% carpark prices, electricity tariffs up up all the way? Ai say get out of comfort zone, go way ahead of the curve, swoop down and outrun the competition and dun look back? This "hai kow yew" peddler is as dependable as an extremely hungry hyena or lioness looking to make a kill to feed her cubs?

Instead of peddling "hai kow yew", such are the topics that should be broached and spoken on? This could be the trajectory things are heading? Instead of focusing on the elephants in the room, peddling "hai kow yew" becums the storyline? Like that it is a no-brainer where would you end up? How bad things are on the ground? Let the "hai kow yew" peddler continue his modus operandi and find out on his own "what's survival on the ground" eventually, inadvertently and inevitably?

You go to Asia Building where Citibank HQ is, you will find 70% Black Cobras.
You go to International Business Park in Hiring East, you will find 60% Black Cobras.

Flake-like bland sorrow floating downward,
DeleteStrands of memories flirtingly flashing across,
Is it dream? Is it illusion? Is it real?
The murmuring sound in the background ...
In the long arduous endless journey,
The strength to lift up the stone-like feet to take the next step towards the dreamland;
The seasons are merciless, spring rain followed by autumn blizzard,
The seas dried, the stones rotted, nothing left to cherish ...,
Alas, the will to trudge forward,
The supernatural heat flowing through every single cell of the blood,
The mysterious power reenergising the deflated body,
The heart is drunk and intoxicated,
Is it real? Is it illusion? Is it in the dream?
The intoxification overwhelmed every inch of the limps,
Depriving of any strength,
Calm, peace, no suffering ... Lying in eternity ... The snow flakes burying the peaceful calm face, to be discovered another 10 millenniums later ...

This world got many types of medicine, "唯独没有后悔药!"
There is no medicine for (the cure of) regret.
As a highly experienced doctor and even with modern science, western technology has any cure or medication (for regret)?
So, what is your (final) decision (Dr Bock)?
Singapore Harapan has no chance to win big in the next GE. The most may be Dr TCB win one single seat or GRC.
ReplyDeleteOn the other hand WP will lose the Aljunied GRC and Hougang.
Nothing is certain, according to Nicholas Nassim Taleb, the author of "The Black Swan - The Impact of the Highly Improbable".
DeleteThe Black Swan was published in 2007, during the eve of the Global Financial Crisis (GFC) and correctly predicted several chains of events?
DeleteBefore "The Black Swan", he wrote another blockbuster that spent one of the longest on the best-seller list.
"Fooled by Randomness - The Hidden Role of Chance in Life and in the Markets" was published in 2001.
According to Taleb, "luck" is often "disguised and perceived as nonluck".
Also, Taleb added, "randomness disguised and perceived as non-randomness (that is, determinism) ..."
"911", "Brexit", "Brexit+++" are major "black swans" that turned market predictions on its head, basing on Taleb's analysis.
DeleteThree years ago, who would have predicted with a 50% chance that there would be a trade war now.
According to Taleb's view, life in general involves large random factors and can spring nasty surprises like "Brexit+++" which would then have chains of events far from earlier "calculations" ...?
In his book, Taleb wrote: "Mathematics is principally a tool to meditate, rather than to compute".
According to Taleb, another more surreptitious and deceptive belief is that of "survivorship bias" and often magnified by a positive feedback loop, what Taleb called "bipolarity" effect.
Sg Lee stupid enough to believe in globalisation (greed) theory. Too greedy is no good. Too ambitious no good. Too many foreigners also no good. Understand the theory of enough ?

ReplyDeleteSomething is OBJECTIVELY "true or false" whether or not you choose to believe or reject it.
Globalisation is happeningand will continue. There are winners and losers in globalisation, and it is a highly contentious issue with governments who are trying to protect their citizens from asymetrical COMPETITION.
Wheter or not people and govts embrace it doesn't matter. Globalisation IS happening, and despite a few wobbles, it will continue.
As long as ideas and capital can flow freely throughout the world and across borders, now at the speed of thought itself, everyone is exposed to global forces.
The purchasing power of your currency and the prevailing interest rate of your cuntry depends on global market forces. So there is no escape; even if you place "protective measures" in to protect jobs and industries in your cuntry.
Just to add: Now 70%.
ReplyDeleteNext GE - Merdeka Generation another 10%. That's be 80%
Another 10% those with hopes if what's VERs. Making 90%
VERs- you just get a pittance for your balance lease tail end and you have to pay the market price at that time maybe at a million dollars for a toilet space.
So have to sell or pawn your backsides. In a way they forced you for redevelopment at their price and profits
Time for a Black Swan event in red dot.

Besides "Black Swans" events, there is another one which arguably is the "ELEPHANT" in the room, the "Golden Swan"?
Since more than a decade ago, many has predicted that China will "implode"...?
But till 2017, China still clocked a relatively high growth rate of 6.9% and eclipsed the US as the largest economy globally based on PPP computation since 2015.
Now, they are using trade war at the most critical moment just like what they did to the Jap in 1985 via the Plaza Accord to revalue the Yen by more than 30% overnight and caused the bubble that eventually sank the Jap economy in 1990. Till now, the Jap economy is still struggling in and out of ICU every few years and for now propped up via Abenomics three arrows?
China has not only not revalued their Yuan but recently let it fall by another couple of percentage points from 6.20+ to 6.80+ against one greenback?
The Jap was also forced in the 1980s by Ronald Reagan and his USTR to institute "VER" which stands for "Voluntary Export Restraint" which is not similar to the term used in what Virgo49 coined "Hai Kow Yew" that "he said will span several GE and generations." (Virgo49, 9.44am, 20 Aug 2018). [That one if not wrong from the headline news is coined "VERS" - Voluntary Early Redevelopment Scheme. Actually was quite confused by the term used cos they printed that VERS is for those flats reaching 70 years (and probably another 20 years from now) but 70 years old flat is quite old le why called "Early Redevelopment"? Also they said another scheme known as HIP 2 will kick in when flats also reach 70 years old like Mr Chua age next year? So there will be concurrently 2 schemes for Mr Chua to choose ... Oops ... Owners of flats 70-yo and they are spoilt for choice? But the caveat is must wait 20 years? Many oldies like what Virgo49 said previously would have sold "salted eggs" and handed in their "license"? So mb Team Harapan can also "sell" another version of Hai Kow Yew like perhaps "Hai Kow Yew Lite" version? No need wait 20 years cos the flats will likely be experiencing diminishing value when they passed 50-yo? Also if by 70-yo flats offered VERS, then what for spend another more than S$4 billion have HIP 2??? If 70-yo flats are going to be redeveloped under VERS, then what for spend billions on HIP 2 when the flats will be torn down (soon afterwards)? Does that not sound 矛盾? Contradictory? Mr Chua, do you understand what is 矛盾? And where did this term originated from? Mb some MSN readers may like to be enlightened ...? ]
Anyway, would like to wish Team Harapan well, all sinkies well ...
Back to this "Golden Swan". Now, Peter Navarro advising DT to whack "Made in China 2025" initiative hard by choking China's exports and imports?
The US will suffer but they posit that China will implode?
And considering that China's total trade exposure is only 40% of GDP vs the US 25%?
But a one-trick pony Botaknomics economy is exposed to international trade by 420%?
When the future will be so different from the past given present circumstances, what will ensure Botaknomics one-trick pony of reliance on continuous rising tide of globalisation and international trade will not suffer the reverse effect? The single hand of Botaknomics one-trick pony can cover the sky? Who the hell will know what would happen in 20 years time given present circumstances and the state the Botaknomics one-trick pony economy is in?
What is hapoening (aka wth is going on)?
Anyone?
Pls enlighten ...
11.18am Mr Chua, do you understand what is 矛盾?

Nicholas Nassim Taleb, and I quote:
An economist is a mixture of 1) a businessman without common sense, 2) a physicist without brain, and 3) a speculator without balls.
Those with brains no balls become mathematicians, those with balls no brains join the mafia, those w no balls no brains become economists.
To have a great day: 1) Smile at a stranger, 2) Surprise someone by saying something unexpectedly nice, 3) Give some genuine attention to an elderly, 4) Invite someone who doesn't have many friends for coffee, 5) Humiliate an economist, publicly, or create deep anxiety inside a Harvard professor.
A trader listened to the firm's "chief" economist's predictions about gold, then lost a bundle. The trader was asked to leave the firm. He then angrily asked him boss who was firing him: "Why do you fire me alone not the economist? He is too responsible for the loss." The Boss: "You idiot, we are not firing you for losing money; we are firing you for listening to the economist."
Discussing growth without concern for fragility: like studying construction without thinking of collapses. Think like engineer not economist.
Success in all endeavors is requires absence of specific qualities. 1) To succeed in crime requires absence of empathy, 2) To succeed in banking you need absence of shame at hiding risks, 3) To succeed in school requires absence of common sense, 4) To succeed in economics requires absence of understanding of probability, risk, or 2nd order effects and about anything, 5) To succeed in journalism requires inability to think about matters that have an infinitesimal small chance of being relevant next January, ...6) But to succeed in life requires a total inability to do anything that makes you uncomfortable when you look at yourself in the mirror.
[On his greatest disappointment]: That I am unable to destroy the economics establishment, the press.
Friends, I wonder if someone has computed how much would be saved if we shut down economics and political science departments in universities. Those who need to research these subjects can do so on their private time.
Being nice to the wicked (or economist) is equivalent to being nasty with the virtuous. End quote
On (financial) journalists: Independence Should Be a Required Minimum for Finance Journalists... But It's Not

The problem with Singapore's future is due to the fact that the politicians running the country today did not read history and political science.
ReplyDeleteRB non lah its not history or political science. Its all the million dollars a year in a political monopoly that there is no need to think deeper n need for common sense n basically no love for the citizens but love for money in a protected no competition political Bubble Heaven.

ReplyDeleteExactly right @946.
When you have absolute, unchallenged power, you can do pretty much anything you like. And they do. As most of us would if we had that kinda "luck".
The famous saying "Absolute power corrupts absolutely" always bugged me. Duh...yah, fuckin obvious no? So what? It is supposed to. That is the way it goes, because human nature is like that. I'm a big fan of human nature, in all its crassness, edginess, hostility. There can be no entertainment if we were totally loving and kind (boring!) all the time. Filth makes for good old dirty fun. Who doesn't want money, power, sex?
The drive to power, with the accompanying accoutrements---influence, charisma, financial largesse, sexual-market value...these are evolutionary. I refer you to Richard Dawkins Selfish Gene. Genes which drive their phenotypes to these strategies have better chances of propagating themselves into subsequent generations.
If you're going to be "bad". Be damn good at being bad. Be the best, or among the best. Then you will win, and your genes will propagate into a descendant linage of cunts and arseholes to create ongoing entertainment for all humanity. 🤓
