Singapore's lucrative part time jobs

Many graduates from Singapore's world class universities are choosing to work part time in Singapore out of free choice because part time jobs not only give them plenty of freedom but also free time, and some to be their own bosses, driving people around at their own time. Part time jobs have indeed flourished in Singapore at least among Singaporeans as occupation of choice. I am not too sure about non Singaporean locals or foreigners. These are stupid people that want permanent jobs and could not see how good part time jobs are, and how lucrative.

The most lucrative part time job in Singapore of course is being MPs. This job is part time in many ways and still being paid $16,000 a month or thereabout.  Ok, ok, for the millionaires, this is peanuts. But this is a handsome sum of money to 90 percent of Singaporeans, highly desirable and admirable. How many Singaporeans could earn this sum of money working full time? Only the millionaire politicians would see this sum no up. And this part time MP job also means attending parliament, a very vital area of an elected MP's responsibility is also part time. Want to attend then attend. If got other more important commitments like an MP's other full time occupation, the latter would take priority because it is full time and MP is part time.

Actually there are many other higher paying part time jobs like directors of company. If a director is being paid $120k a year in director fee, you know how lucrative it is? Company directors are not full time jobs. Board of directors meeting are often held once a month or sometimes once in two or three months. Assuming it is once a month, a $120k director's fee would mean each meeting a company director is paid $10,000, for 1 or 2 hours sitting in the boardroom tweedling his thumbs or having nice snacks and coffee.

And this is not the most lucrative if you know how much the chairman of a company is paid versus that of a company director. Let's say a chairman is paid $2.4m a year, divide that by 12 assuming there were 12 monthly meetings like the directors, it would work out to $200,000 per meeting. Not bad really.  And if the company is really big, like a MNC and the chairman is paid $12m a year, it means each meeting he chairs he is being paid $1m for 1 or 2 hours of being there.

How many chairman are full time? Mostly chairman are part time job. See how lucrative part time jobs can be? Ok, Ok, forget about the graduates that ended in part time jobs because the good permanent jobs are filled by foreigners. Not all part time jobs are desirable or lucrative. Only very selective part time jobs are lucrative and highly desirable and enviable. Some people are just so lucky to end up with such cushy and super well paid part time jobs and doing or contributing you know what.

I don't see how you cann classify what these lui-chiak-buay-lio assholes do as "jobs".

In my book (maybe not yours) having a JOB means you have to do REAL WORK and CREATE VALUE for the cunts who are paying you.

Sorry, I'm for the private sector, and I have very strong anarcho-capitalist leanings. In this jungle, if you don't earn, you die and nobody will care.

BTW, every game you try to play is RIGGED. Every system has a degree of CORRUPTION.

...but you still have to play. Because no one will care if you die, or live...for that matter.

  12. Pussy-Grabbing Dotard Trump's Sexual Infidelity Has Started To Crystallize For The World To See

If this guy can cheat, without qualms, on his own three wives (still not enough), he can cheat on anybody with the blink of an eye-lid.

The secret audio recordings of Donald Trump discussing with his attorney Michael Cohen how they would buy a Playboy model's story about her alleged affair with him, have been revealed.

The tapes, obtained and aired by CNN on Tuesday, record the Trump speaking to his lawyer about the proposal to buy Karen McDougal's story.

Cohen is heard telling Trump he plans to set up a company to purchase the rights of the story from American Media who bought it from McDougal for $150,000.

'I need to open up a company for the transfer of all of that info regarding our friend David,' Cohen said in the recording - thought to be a reference to American Media head David Pecker.

Trump interjects to ask 'What financing' which his lawyer responds: 'We'll have to pay.'

The then presidential candidate interrupts again but his voice is muffled. He is heard to say 'pay with cash', but it's unclear if he suggested to pay with cash or said don't pay with cash.

    'Check' he adds.

Cohen's replied: 'No, no, no, no.'

    What follows, is again unclear.

The recording was provided to CNN by Cohen's attorney Lanny Davis.

McDougal says she had a year-long affair with Trump after the birth of his son Baron.

McDougal received a $150,000 payment in exchange for her story, which never ran.

Federal prosecutors obtained 12 audio recordings from the FBI raids on Cohen's offices earlier this year.

I think the idea of having a part-time job is a great one. Everyone should try it, at least once in their life.

Many angmoh (usually more "right-wing" or "libertarian") parents in those rich, entitled, welfare democracies of the west encourage their kids to have a part-time job, and to work during school holidays, usually in the family business for really lousy money.

In Singapore, parents encourage their kids to study or take tuition because apparently the school system isn't good enough to educate their kids...must "timbal" extra by private tuition. So there's the cultural difference between Singapore conservative parents and western conservative parents.

In Singapore, like anywhere else, there are IMO 3 BASIC things one needs to do to remain "relevant".

    1. Have a really good psychology to keep going especially when you're taking losses. (There are no victims. Everyone is responsible for whatever happens to them)

    2. Keep on learning. There is always something new and interesting, and VALUABLE to learn. Step one: get rid of your TV, it is TOXIC. It wastes your time, fucks up your emotions and makes you eat too much and put on weight.

    3. Guanxi. This is very important. You need to get to know, and develop meaningful relationships with valuable people. You have to create value for them...it's a mutual exchange.

Notice how these 3 feed into and off each other:

If you keep on learning, your psych will improve, and you will meet new people because you're in a different environment learning new things.

If you have good psych, it is easier to learn new stuff, and you can't help but be a valuable person and a source of intelligence and good nature to others, which bumps up the Guanxi

If you have good Guanxi, your psych gets a boost, because good relationships have that effect. You will also open vistas and speed up whatever new skills you wish to acquire.

Being constantly envious of people whom you don't respect but appear to be earning shitloads more than you serves no purpose, makes you feel shitty and burns too much time and "negative" energy..

As I've said before: whatever the game, whatever the system...they are rigged and corrupt to varying degrees. Human beings like "short cuts". We are mortal, we will die. This causes many of us to look for "lobangs" or shortcuts to our objectives---i.e. we want it NOW!!.

While it makes sense to be effective and efficient, when this "drive" becomes toxic, people start sacrificing common sense and good graces by trying to "con" others. Human nature lah.

If you look it up "delay of gratification" is correlated with better outcomes.

Life is also fucking unfair, you will suffer losses and setbacks, and is frighteningly uncertain, ending unceremoniously in DEATH.

...but like I said, you still have to "be in the game" and strive to win more than you lose. You will lose. You will make errors.

I work on the principle that I am 2/3's (66.667%) to 80% wrong at any time. Those numbers are straight out of the Pareto Principle.

The problem is that we go to school and are conditioned to strive to be 100% correct all the time. If you perform like my numbers ie. 67-80% WRONG, you will fail in school and be outcast from society. ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿคฃ

Aiyah, please lah. No need for you to play The Race Card.

Young people die in all sorts of situations. This is tragic, and those charged definitely played their parts. However RAGGING is a "rite of passage" (mainly amongst males) in many uniformed organisations. It is a form of "social bonding".

If you look at the stats, death amongst young men caused by "silly antics" has always been high. This is because biologically, neurologically and genetically: DUDES WILL BE DUDES.

In my younger days here in Oz, we would be falling down drunk and high, but we'd play with loaded firearms and other weapons (those days can order guns and crossbows thru the mail), and then race around the hills along twisting roads in our "souped up" cars. So many times we came close to being killed lah. But oh what fun!

YOUNG, DUMB, FULL OF CUM! ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿคก

  18. Matilah, in Singapore, Quanxi is sucking up to the Balls of those influential parasites who held all the Key posts.

Hoping that their equally useless and tau foo brats can get into key positions based on their Alumi or whatsoever connections.

So much for what's meritocracy. Only METRO-CRAZY.

That's why their parents must die even lie to register their children into what's elites or prestigious schools even to the extent of going to jails if ever found out.

Their follow up siblings will have a easier time to enroll next. In Jobs interviews and connections hoping that the HR or the Managers or anyone from the same Alumi will give them priority.

Likwise, the PAPies ex MPs or Ministers or even just as Secretary to the ex bosses Ministers to have their DUD children selected for Erections. What's baloney to meritocracy.

Ang Moh sais are the laziest lots of workers in the Universe. Worked for few years then vacationed for next few years. Only knew of enjoying their lives. Till aged 70 still have to work for food. NO SAVINGS even though they earned millions in their lifetime.

Matilah, you want our Asians to follow their lifestyles??

Why the PAP have all sorts of plans to suction the working POP savings and monies now with all sorts of schemes??

It's because down the Road, they do not want to have BIG problems with the upcoming Paupers of the young generation now of having what's lucrative part-time jobs thinking that they are GREAT.

With a blink of an eye, many with NO FULL-TIME GAINFULLY EMPLOYED JOBS WILL HAVE ROTTING, OOPS NOTHING TO THEIR NAMES.

Many, so called ELECTROCUTED Youngsters thinking that they are Invincible living now full of Vitality and enjoying their part-time, no-time and contract work like Princes will begin to live as Paupers when the time come.

    No eyes to see.- Lucky
