Below are some photographs of the 39th Singapore Masters Open held on 5 May at the Homes of Athletics in Kallang, next to the National Stadium. More than 400 athletes came to participate in this friendly competition. They came from Mongolia, Japan, India, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Malaysia, USA, UK, France and Switzerland to compete with our own masters athletes.
Here are some photos capturing the intense moments of the competition. See the determination written all over the faces of the mothers and fathers and grandpas and grandmas on the tracks.
A victorious smile comes after the intense struggle to win.
Below are photos of the athletes in action.
After the gruelling competition comes the medals.
And some moments of camaraderie.
Who is the Satkee uncle in green vest, white cap and super big ears?
ReplyDeleteWon SILVER medal.
DeleteWah!
Congrats!
Well done! Chin Leng, Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteAccording to Chinese geomancy, ear BIG BIG very good.
ReplyDeleteSomemore if earlobes BIG and LONG, good fortune.
AnyboLEE if see some pple (yalah minionsters included) hardly any earlobe or shrinking earlobe shaped like rats ears better stay far far away from such pple
AnyboLEE knows such pple pls KEE CHIU.
According to geomancer, this type of person very MEAN, the heart very narrow like tiny chicken stomach and vengeful.
According to Chinese geomancy, need to be extra wary of pple with such rats ear-like earlobes and ears. The heart often very "evil". If country led by such pple, aiyo ... dunno what to say ... the citizens cham liao ...?
Didn't do my best, no personal best timing. Nursing a 10 day thigh muscle pull. Lucky did not pull again during the run.
ReplyDeletePosting these pics to support the masters athletes to give them the publicity main media is not giving them. All the lip service about encouraging the seniors to live a healthy lifestyle but not even bother to cover such an event when so many seniors worked so hard for it as role models on how to live a healthy lifestyle.
Fantastic. Winning a silver is no mean feat. Congratulations.
ReplyDeleteThanks Ann and all. And welcome to the blog Ann.
ReplyDeleteThe Chinese have a saying:
ReplyDelete"One's look grow out of the heart"
Evil pple can hide their heart but face feature cannot hide lah
Several features on pple's face will give them away what their hearts are such as the brows, ears, earlobe, eyes, below the eyes, edge of eyes, nose, chins, cheeks, lips, teeth ... yes teeth ... but cannot "leaked out" too much divine secret lah ... nuntee kena punish by divinity ... shape of eyes, the colour within the eyes, the temple/ forehead, etc.
Eh, RB, I must say you got style lah. Good job.
ReplyDeleteYah, fuck the MSM. All this cock-talk about seniors living healthy. Lucky seniors...since they are the elders, don't need for the MSM run by young Twitter and FaceBook punks to report "news".
Anyway, Singapore like most cultures are only paying lip-service to seniors. Actually they'd be happy of we all just disappear.
Well to them, I say "fuck you". But then again, can't really blame these spoilt young brats who've never known or experienced any real hardships in their entitled lives. And I blame their fucking Baby Boomer parents for their awful parenting skills.
If you're lucky, you will wait a long time to get old. That's the trick---keep on waiting.
And no self-respecting senior will ever allow a bunch of no-experience sheltered young punks to rule over them.

ReplyDeleteAiya uncle, the younger generation born after Independence in their teens, 20s, 30s and 40s know lo(ooooooo)ng ago that often when some JLBs and JSs utter "A", better dun take at face value lah?
Surely the PGs, Pre-war and baby boomers not 3-yo born yesterday?
Tot u said "Stupidity got no cure"?
How to take the JLBs and JSs words at face value?
To the younger generations, "A" is not "A" but likely "Z"?
Dun ever let the JLBs & JSs make your brain enter water?
Or getting senile
Must endure until the last breathe to witness truth triumph over evil, light over darkness.
Just like the gloomy weather, the place is shrouded in hell dungeon utter darkness worse than the black hole sucking everything near it.
