Terry Xu of TOC tried to assist the parents of Benjamin to raise fund
using GIVE.asia fund raising platform to sue the govt for the lost of
their 14 year old son. After raising more than $2,000, the campaign came
to an abrupt stop with GIVE.asia saying it is against their mission in
this campaign. Some netizens are furious at the way the campaign was
disrupted.
There is an article by a Ghui posted in the TRE on this subject and here is a comment from the same post.
Painful Justice:
October 20, 2017 at 4:42 pm (Quote)
Benjamin was just a very young 14 year old boy and did not deserve the
heavy handling meted out to him even if he had misconducted himself as
alleged. Oops, my apologies, this is what everyone thought or else he
would not have taken his life. But the court found that everyone who had
contact with Benjamin were very professional and very caring and thus
free from blame. Benjamin's case was a totally unnecessary tragedy and
no parents could have found closure losing a son under such
circumstances. As parents, we empathize with the Lim family and fully
understand what they are going through. We support the steps they are
taking to seek redress.
I can feel the pain in the parents for losing a child at this tender age
for something that did not deserve this kind of ending. You can bet how
many tears have flowed in the family and how difficult it is to come to
terms with losing a loved one. How can there be a closure to this case?
Would anyone who have directly or indirectly caused the premature death
of Benjamin be man enough, be courageous enough, be honourable enough to
kneel in front of the parents and beg for forgiveness? I think if such a
thing happens, maybe healing will start. For the parents to want to
pursue this matter, it is a sign that the grief is not going away and
there is a deep sense of injustice in how they see how the case was
closed.
It is very painful. It must be, and worst when no one owns up or found responsible for the lost of their beloved son, Benjamin.
Can this case be over because legally it is over, settled in the court
of law? The court has already made its ruling that no one is found
culpable to Benjamin's death?
Hope Benjamin would always be in the minds of those wielding power and
authority to think very carefully, act very carefully, that such a
painful tragedy would never ever happen to another child and another
family. No amount of words and apologies can reduce the pain and
sufferings of the parents and family members for losing a child in such
circumstances. It was totally unnecessary and unacceptable and
intolerable and inexcusable.
The law may say it is over. The conscience would not allow it, except for those with no conscience. Anyone think there is any injustice in this case?
ReplyDeleteDAFT Sinkies gave the Pay And Pay Chiak Lao Bees too much power.
Now their Silver Serpents behaved as though they are also the PAP Ministers and MPs.
Untouchables just like their Masters to Sinkies slaves.
In your contacts and dealings with the Silver Serpents, they behaved high and mighty.
Going to any of their Departments and transiting thru their checkpoints, you are been hassled and drove like sheeps with their arrogrant behaviors and shoutings.
Even their Gardeners and Jamban Inspectors behaved like Ministers.
They admitted their follies and apologies???
Only when they are been thrown out or grilled by the People that represent the People to grill them.
YOU DESERVED THE government you elected and their Silver Serpents to Lord over you.
Now a 14 year old boy driven to death.

Boy was in school.
ReplyDeletePolicemen went to school to 'arrest' (take him into custody) him.
Policemen brought him to their Police Station.
Policemen interrogated him for hours.
Boy came home extremely depressed.
Boy found dead at the foot of HDB flat soon after.
School that allowed the boy to be taken into police custody - cleared.
Police who took boy into custody and interrogated him for hours - cleared.
Court proceedings cleared everything without a fickle of doubt - legally.
Anybody who may wish to utter a word about the court in any way - most likely will be charge with contempt of court. Who dare to criticise the court?
Policemen all cleared by the court - who dare to criticise the policemen?
School principal and teachers also cleared by the court - who dare to question the principal and teachers?
Where can people seek redress? See MP? You think see MP any use? MP dare to bring up the case?
Sue the police, school and government - any use? Can "jalan" or not?
Yes, there was closure for the Police, for the School and for the Court, therefore also means for the Government.
Where is the closure for the parents, and other parents who also have young children in school?
JUSTICE must be seen to have been done. Has it been done? I believe not.
That website must have been given some "advice" by PAPies --- maybe glasslooters, or may even have some MPs as Directors on its Board. Need to maintain good relationship with PAPies for business mah. Money talks & BS walks.
ReplyDeleteIt's a no-win situation for both parents & govt.
The very least that govt could have done is to be gracious & give a substantial payout (e.g. $5M) to the parents without admitting any wrongdoing. This is the typical standard of govts in other developed countries.
But like typical giam kana, PAPies simply brush off with "Not my fault, not my problem" and walks away.
Let this be a WARNING to anybody who thinks about ticking PAP at the ballot box!!

Is it fair to say 70% of Singaporeans are directly or indirectly responsible?
BLim s case was a depressing child mistreatment and there is a hidden a big social threat against male citizens.
ReplyDeleteWhat need to be observed on this case? a personal perspective.
First. The police report against BLim was filed by a neighbor. As the videoed evidence indicated both were underaged, the parents should be consulted first before legal teams moved into arresting the alleged molester.
Is an underaged "molester" equal to an adult "molester'? Has they been proven to be molester?
Second. the alleged child was seen to be proven guilty before the court could have the details to decide. This is the hidden threat to male citizens.
The overwhelming force in the team to arrest the child started with meet the principal first. The team had 5 adults and 2 vehicles streamed into a public secondary school. In the eyes of peers and teachers, the child should have been considered guilty of an offense. Was this fair to the child?
Third. There was no video recording on how the alleged was treated during "discussions" under custody.
Fouth. The mother was not allowed to see her son before the latter was removed from school. Being the guardian of the child, was her right protected? How does a guardian protect an underaged child on sinkieland?
Can reader see these problems? When the victim claimed she was "molested", the alleged child was put into an disadvantaged position and the process made him seen as "proven guilty" in the eyes of innocent public.
Is this the right kind of social system? Readers should think for themselves assuming they were named as molesters. Bear in mind that BLim after 4 years, will have to shave his hairs and receive $500pm as "pocket money" in camps. He does not have a chance to decline. This is the norm. He has another hidden norm for born with a male identity. When he is named as molesting kid, he had to parade in front of his peers and teachers as one. Was that correct way?
He was treated like one without him actually knowing the legal consequences and social damage to his reputation. This is the saddest part on sinkieland.
Was such social norm necessary? ie to shame someone alleged to have molested. Why there is a need of courts if such norm is necessary? There is alternative.
Example: would it be fairer to speak to the parents at night at their home before taking BLim away?
Will a NS man frighten when they go into a lift with a female inside?
The next moment could be hell break loose if the female complains molest.
Voters need to vote for new team in GE to revisit these social norms and legal procedures on treatment of male citizens.
Bearing in mind that not all uniform team members are citizens. Some of uniform teams are PR foreigners. They foreigners might not feel the same affection on sinkieland towards their 1 or 2 children per family.
In Malaysia, many have more than 2 siblings. On sinkieland, a family lost of 1 child will bring the fellow sibling into life time depression. Can voters comprehend the needs for a reform on sinkieland s social system? Vote for alternative in GE. Sinkieland needs competent leaders to move with time. It cannot be stagnant unmoved for another 20 years.

ReplyDeleteU share the same sentiment. Many voters did not know the potential danger sinkie male identities are in.
This point on real case siam: that is the real danger.
2 years ago at Little India riot. A traffic policeman alone was to handle the rioters (known from Inquiry report). Real case, siam is the most dangerous in sinkieland.
Further away, 1 taxi driver with heart pacer was punched by 4 angmore and crawled on floor. 1 sinkie male helper was pushed against the pillar. His nose bone was broken. The police took about an hour to arrive at suntec. No need to tell where to find the uniform team in town. This is similar to Little India is in the town.
Wander voters feel their own danger with 2.2 millions foreigners living inside. Until another big event like Little India and Suntec, few will blame the incompetence on people in power.
There was post that sinkieland decided to have NS because British soldiers did not fight Japanese during syunan time.
That is another imaginative hope seen from sinkies. The competent leeders put in 2.2 millions foreigners to take away jobs from NS men, they expect good defense.
Why the "real case siam" actual scenarios are conveniently ignored?
Sinkieland is in false security hope, may be. Now hope US will save them. Trump felt obligated for having 70k jobs given by sinkieland? Fat hope.
U are right and this is the golden rule of survival: real case siam. Real jobs for foreigners on sinkieland.
There is cause and effect relationship. U saw it, but the millionaires ignore it. They can fly within 10 mins. This is their recipe. Could be.

From the comments in the thread, apparently the "rumour" that many 18-yo JC A-Level students broke down after their Chemistry Practical exam on 26th Oct 2017, Thur could be NOT "fake news" but the HARDTRUTH?
Uncle Virgo69, thought the ex police brass kena transferred out in Oct 2015 and subsequently kena stroke in May 2016?
Who is the current ex military bras in charge of the poor 18-yo JC A-Level students?
Any clue?
Now whether 14-yo or 18-yo in ahgualand very "CHAM"?
Need kena "heart attack" from visit by a dozen or half dozen mib half way during sch curriculum or worry about MRT breakdown otw to national exam ...?
Recently on Thur 26 Oct 2017, from the above forum thread in reddit, can gather this year A-Level H2 Chemistry Practical Paper 4 planning and questions were set OUT of SYLLABUS???
Mrt NSL recently once in 50 years flooding and close down for 2 days?
Now another once in 50 years "screw up" in national exam?
Chemistry Practical but with Biology Practical Planning skills required?
Those who didn't take Biology but Physics or hybrid combination without Phy or Bio "die" liao ...?
Even those top Chem students based on the forum thread who took Bio also couldn't really cope with the questions in the Chem Practical?
Are the SMRT types of signalling, track, software, hardware, and what naught problems also prevalent in SEAB and MOE???
No proper coordination between SEAB, MOE and Cambridge to set questions covered in syllabus?
What is the point of setting questions out of the A-Level H2 syllabus?
What about next year set PSLE papers at O Level standard ...?
And set 2018 O Level papers at A level standard?
Does it make sense?
If not, why did it happen?
That's why nowadays whether 14-yo or 18-yo in AHGUALAND very "CHAM" ...?
Work so hard but must kena all kinds of "heart attack" like SUDDEN potential mrt breakdown otw to a national exam or papers set out of syllabus or kena "arrest" by a dozen or half dozen mib in sch "suddenly"?
How are they going to grow up properly?
Oldies, what say u?
Do the 14-yo or 18-yo have a choice to be brought to this world by YEW or YEWR offsprings?
What have YEW left behind for the 14-yo or 18-yo?
A broken (and gone case) mrt system?
A (similarly) broken "education" system helmed by some ex police bras and now ex military bras?
Hopefully NOT ......?
Heaven, (can YEW) ...pls save (the 14-yo, 18-yo, 17-yo, 15-yo, 16-yo ....... etc etc in) ahgualand ...?
For parents, there is no way they can control how others, whoever they may be, treat their underaged children, or the type of situations their children may encounter.
ReplyDeleteSo the important thing and lesson here is for parents to provide the necessary upbringing and support to their children, especially in their formative years, to ensure that they are strong and not easily depressed or frightened under various types of treatment or situations.
In the case of Benjamin, we do not know how his parents "handled" him after his return from his "interview" at the police station. Did they provide vital emotional support and assurance to the young child to calm him? Or did they scold him further or even beat him?
All these may have a bearing on the outcome, and may not have ended in tragedy.
I think Sinkie parents need to raise and bring up their children to become a future JBJ or Chee Soon Juan.
ReplyDeleteIn this way, there will not be child suicides or kiasu and kiasi Sinkie adults.
This is good for Sinkieland's future, although bad for PAP.

Why not raise them and become like Donald Tuck (and know how to grab pxxxy)?
And tweet the way he did since 2015?
Not bad for a guy who walked away with nearly SGD20 billion contract (through "intimidating" his counterparts? Even the worst or most notorious mafia or gangster in history or the world has ever known is anywhere near there or have the ability to "exhort" that kind of sum by "humiliating" & "talking down to pple"?)

ReplyDeleteOne should not add in unfounded fact on BLim case. This post reflected unconcerned reader about the case making attempt to push the responsibility to the child s parents.
The reports revealed BLim was told by his mother that a teacher in charge told her to relay to BLim, informing him NOT to turn up to a camp he already prepared for.
There after, the boy closed himself to his room and the mother did not suspect anything.
Scolding? This is very cruel to allege the parents did wrong to the child based on this fact.
One has to ask
1. did the principal take responsibility to ensure the child remain in school under the school s custody? Or at least wait until the mother arrive at school before allowing the uniform group to take the child away.
2. the school had no valid reason to cancel BLim s participation to the camp to further distance him from the schools peers.

Whether you pass or fail.
Do you think it will make a difference?
With so many PAP approved foreigners entering Singapore, do you think your children can get any jobs?
Which action will give your children better employment prospects?
- vote Opposition or study harder ?
They will conduct an inquiry and declare everything was normal, nothing wrong, absolutely nothing wrong. No one is to be blamed. And case closed, like Benjamin's case.
ReplyDeleteHi Anonymous 333pm
ReplyDeleteOf course study harder lah!
Even under opposition, you need paper to get a decent job for survival!
Correct or not?
"vote opposition or study harder" unquote
ReplyDeleteThe third option maybe is not to have kids. Married without kids that is, or just stay single. Studying hard may end up with disappointment for some if they end up without a good job after graduating, if those good jobs have been taken away by foreigners.
I am sure all parents and grandparents want a better future for their children and grandchildren. That goes without saying.
However, some with kids may vote PAP for making more money, as much as possible, and that is also a way of helping their kids out financially when it comes to be necessary. So, the rich and well off may choose PAP for further prosperity, a path that the poorer peasants cannot afford.
The poor have therefore more reason to choose their destiny carefully at the ballot box. But if those that think that changes will make a difference are in the minority, and the majority continue to be daft, the ballot box is also not the effective tool for change.
The PAP knows this fully well and moreover, it may be too late now to think of the ability to change the system. The whole executuve and administrative organs are tightly controlled by the PAP and I would say, unshakeable, all with politically cultured mind set by the PAP.
Those without kids, well, PAP or opposition matters little for they have nothing much to worry about so long as they have what they need and want, and all they care for is making more money to lead a more comfortable life. I think the PAP will be their choice at the box.
Even under opposition, you need paper to get a decent job for survival!
ReplyDeleteCorrect or not?
3:55 pm
Correct.
Even under opposition, you still need money to survive.
If you are not smart to make enough money under PAP govt, do you think you will become smart to make enough money under opposition govt?

ReplyDelete///They will conduct an inquiry and declare everything was normal, nothing wrong, absolutely nothing wrong. No one is to be blamed. And case closed, like Benjamin's case.///
Anon 3.39pm, YEW may have hit the head on the nail going by .....? (topeng intended ...)
The nature of this case could have far wider and deeper repercussion, reverberation effects and ramifications ... if what many 18-yo A-Level JC students alleged is true (that the 2017 Chemistry Practical questions set were OUT OF SYLLABUS and the planning required was more like for a Biology than a Chemistry Practical)?
Thousands of students took this 2.5 hours 2017 Chemistry Practical exam for what?
If this 2017 Chemistry practical exam failed to achieve the objectives it set out to achieve, what then is the economic loss?
How much sweat blood taxpayers $$$ wasted?
How much time that thousands of students spent over the past 2 years especially the past few weeks mugging intensively days and nights had gone down the drain?
How about the thousands$$$ each parent/ family forked out for tuition for Chemistry for their JC children?
How about the time parents spent ferrying, waiting and fetching their children for this 2017 A-Level H2 Chemistry tuition for the past 2 years?
The purpose of exam is to distinguish the different abilities and aptitude etc of students?
When the paper is set so out of syllabus where even the best students find it difficult to cope, how then to distinguish the different abilities and aptitude etc of different students?
YEW mean based on say hypothetically all the mostly "incorrect answers" across the cohort, the CAMBRIDGE examiners are super human beans and can differentiate among the "incorrect answers" which are the students who should get more marks and who should get less marks?
Is it not like say selecting butterfly stroke swimmers among 100 pple who can't swim that stroke and decide who can eventually win a race in the future based on the way they struggle in the pool, ceteris paribus?
In other words, is that the way examinations are set out to be?
If that is the case, does it not incentivitise students not to work hard than to work hard?
This case had left an indelible scar in the minds of thousands of students, not mentioning the parents, grandparents, Chemistry teachers, tutors etc ... not unlike the BL case on the parents, friends, close kins etc ?
How is it to go away like that?
Really that simple?

ReplyDeleteHe is smart to make enough money under pap.
U r not smart and an idiot to want pap to reduce your money.
The subject brought up was pap s increased population. pap got huge increases in money in 2015, after gdp 15.2% increase, a prop up by population sudden increase. They got big bonus. Voters got increase in costs, shops rental increased 300%. U r employer or employees both get less money. U r idiot to love pap s way of increasing population. Ur children will get no increase in salary for 20 years and next 20 years. Hope u r not praying for children getting poorer from poor.
2.2 millions foreigner did not keep gdp going at 15.2%. GDP now is 2 to 3%, pap cannot commit. Jobs for citizens cannot guarantee with 2.2 millions foreigners living inside. U pay for more hospital cost, more police cost, more buses cost, more mrt costs, and u will cry when coe go up to sky when pap stop car increases.
Your time is up to close your eyes if, if you r not concerned about making less money under pap.
If others vote for opposition, they can get more salaries similar to china workers in china. Sinkies salaries will be overtaken by china workers s own salaries in china. If they still vote for pap, they will have not enough money to BUY RICE made in china.
When sinkies cannot afford to buy china rice, they will not have money to buy thai rice. Eat grass also illegal. Ask for it under pap, get it from pap s population policy.
