The spade of accidents involving American warships in Asian waters is
rising simply because there are just too many American warships in the
region to guard the American Empire and to conduct silly Freedom of
Navigation patrols. Why should there be so many American warships in the
region when the USA is thousands of miles away? Or is the region an
American swimming pool, a lake owned by the American Empire?
The accident involving USS John McCain and an oil tanker, Alnic MC in
the overlapping sea of Singapore and Malaysia is raising many eyebrows.
It is another case of too many American warships in the surrounding sea,
and a sea route with many heavy commercial ships plying and transiting
the narrow stretch of sea.
What has been highlighted as contributing factor to the incident is that
the American warship was not detected by the Singapore Port Authority’s
Vessel Traffic Information System unlike the Alnic. Thus the Port
Authority could not forewarn the ships of an impending collision. Why?
It is compulsory for all commercial ships in the area to switch on their
AIS for identification purpose. But the American destroyer did not have
to unless they chose to. How could this be allowed in an area with
heavy shipping traffic is questionable. Why the exception and increasing
the risk of accidents? This is Singapore’s territorial waters and all
ships must follow and obey the rules and practices of Singapore’s
Maritime Authority with no exceptions.
The American warships must be ordered to switch on their AIS when in our
waters. Not switching on AIS is definitely unacceptable practice and
pose a danger to all the commercial shipping in the area. Unbelievable
that such a thing is allowed. American Exceptionalism or angmoh tua kee?
Why put the safety of commercial ships at risk because of foreign
military ships here that should not be here in the first place? And with
their stealth technology and coating, most of the time these military
ships are invisible to the commercial ships’ radar. Only the Americans
can see the commercial ships and not the other way. And if they slept on
the job, the risk of accident is lagi high.
There will be no such incidents if the American warships are not here in the first place.
KNN.
All the blame shud be blamed on An Long san saying the UaSs r here to protect the region from being overrun by Cheena at SCS. So called freedom of navigation r smoke screen but UaSs r territorial dogs intruding into other countries space...this collision incident tells the Americuns to take care of their on safety first..UaSs power r eroding soon..
ReplyDeleteCyber Warfare. The warships were on auto-pilot. US investigators suspect someone sneaked into their computer systems and 'guided' their ships to crash head-on.

The stupid Americans are trying to put the blame on someone else when it was all along due to their negligence.
ReplyDeleteAnd they made the daft countries to send so many ships, planes and people to hunt the sea for missing sailors when the impact on the destroyer clearly showed that the sailors were likely to be trapped inside the ship/cabin that were sealed off.
How much more stupid can the Americans be? And how much more daft are the daft to be? No one bothers to think or inspect the damage and went hunting for red herrings in the open sea. Seow.
Stupidity has no cure.
The collision has nothing to do with Port Authority. Auto Identification System should be used as an overall traffic control system. It should not be used against it to help a sampan hitting a oil tanker.
ReplyDeleteA navy war ship has many sets of radar, not just fire control radar. Why all radar failed to detect the big big object approaching? Why it needs AIS?
From the impact point, the navy was hit at the weakest spot. All electronic and comms lower rank crews 10 of them died inside. The comms room was hit?
From the dead s positioning, it seemed they had no time to get out.
Reason is: a radar if functioning, can detect easily 100feet or 30m away. The RF wave sends out should be received almost instantly. Cannot detect the big big tanker 100 feet away? Why didnt they run from comms room when they knew it was not stopping?
The logical deduction could be: the radar in navy ship was not functioning. This is very dangerous to US s empire building. Now US s enemies are having a pair of cool eyes looking at those ships sailing at South China sea. Its better to ask little usa to take over the freedom of navigation. Radar not functioning or not function when collision is to be avoided, is deadly sin. The commander is responsible for the maintenance. Sounded like impossible dream to US s cool enemies.
Heard of signalling problems? It has been 2 to 3 days no signalling problems for those big big vehicles running on tracks. It will go into malfunction mode in coming days. Signaling problems in navy could be an uncommon problem. It could be because of honest mistakes and move on, nothing needed to be done, untill a big bang, commander needed changed. Yet for the big vehicles on tracks, signalling is a all problems name. Just say signalling, commuters will accept. Its a big thing no body can solve. The next radar breaking down might be next year not now. US navy is running on fleets after war 2. Its time to buy new ones from China.
Too many American warships in Asian waters
ReplyDelete-----------------------------------------
True.
Just like too many white parrots in parliament.
All of them say the same thing.
Waste time listening to all of them say the same thing.
Waste money to pay them all just to say the same thing.
It's not productive.
Too much duplication of LKY's ideas.
Might as well replace 90% of them and put LKY's book on their chair in parliament instead.
Ship ahead, change your course.
ReplyDeleteThis is an American warship, change your course.
Final warning, this is USS John McCain, nuclear armed, change your course.
USS John McCain, this is the captain of Alnic speaking. We are a 300,000 tonne tanker. Sorry, cannot change course. Approach at your own risk.
Kaboom!
Obama cut down 50% of military budget for 8 years. The US Navy has been reduced to about half the number of ships. Many of them are of poor maintenance with no spare parts or equipment which are obsolete.
ReplyDeleteOn several occasions Chinese and Russian submarines managed to close in to within 500 metres undetected by the radars on US ships. This is already a good indicator as to how efficient their radars have been.
As far back as the invasion of Iraq, about 100 Chinese submarines surrounded one of the US aircraft carrier. They only managed to detect for few seconds and the submarines disappeared from their radar screens. This is how good the US Naval ships are. They are partially, if not totally, BLIND.
That is why they needed the air surveillance to protect them. But air surveillance cannot deal with heat-seeking missiles from stealth submarines.
The days of the ONLY Super Power are numbered.
The coming new norm will be three or four Super Powers. Then the world will be more balanced. Little USA's fate is sealed.
That is why, I suspect, the LEEders are going on a scorch earth policy, to rip off as much as they can now, preparing to run road. The Familee Feud I believe was just a wayang to enable the siblings and younger generation to leave first. So that when the time comes, when the situation is untenable, escape from Paradise can be executed with ease ......
Smart Sinkies should make a move to abandon the sampan first, for those who are able to. Waiting until the obvious signs appear in the horizon will be too late, unless of course, if you have already establish some connections somewhere.
Even Matland and Batam or Bali are good bets. Vietnam and Thailand are also very good. Australia and New Zealand are excellent. Some can also try China and Taiwan.
For those who love PAP's rule so much, they should go to North Korea or Myanmar.

ReplyDeleteUncle RB, this reminds me of the 1997 movie 'Speed 2: Cruise Control'.
Wow.. the American Director already predicted that a cruise ship lost control by a computer hacker and nearly crash onto a oil tanker..however the American film director filed to predict their own navy ship hit an oil tanker (20 years after that)..

Overhyped American machine and ability.
ReplyDeleteSinkies with common sense should know the situation is changing to China side. They voted the politicians who are rejected by the chinese highest level. The joke about free smoke at Beijing and free pork soup at shanghai taps has became a sign of diplomatic weakness: picking big stone to hit own feet.
ReplyDeleteIndia in face of China s change of tone back off from war. If after the Bric meeting at Xiamen no war with India, China will have to eat its own words. India knew the limit.
North Korea had tested the weakness of US empire. It fired several short range missiles days ago. The 7th fleet command said the missiles failed. Then the commander changed to accept SKorea s observation that the missiles did not misfired at all. How could 7th fleet failed to detect the missiles and required Skorea to correct the observation?
Today NK fired a missile over Hokkaido sky and drop near its coasts. The warning to Japan and US was: do not doubt the accuracy. US empire ran out of words to sooth Abe: mai kia mai kia. Nothing US could do. Nothing China could do.
Little usa is not a favorite friend of Malaysian politicians. The Umno chinese branch hates sinkies in JB. Other branches in Umno should be no different. Yet sinkies are hard up going north for cheap foods and petrol.
That kind of behaviors indicates sinkies are running into cash shortage problems for middle class households. The household debts created should be ballooning up when US raise interest rate again this year. 75% of the near 300 billions private debts is on mortgages. Look at the empty shops. Who are paying the costs? Private middle classes.
Never think of running away. Sinkies will incur further debts when living in US, or Aust, or Canada due to lacking of jobs. Even running hawker foods restaurants will not make them rich in foreign lands. Run away from home ground will become the desperate dogs on unfamiliar ground.
The correct way is to vote for opposition: to re create jobs markets for sinkies to earn income, and reduce cost pressure. This is the most workable path for sinkies middle class.
Asean is shifting towards china, including malaysia. Being little usa is good or bad is up to individual to think. As long as business is coming, china visitors are arriving, shops can open. Changi airport only receive angmor in transits. Few tourists are buying things in malls or china town. May be indians are doing well at little india.

China make money through rail routes linking China to KL. Trades between Malaysia and China need not to pass through Pap any more.
What is China rise? It is wrong in word.
Real words are: China getting rich. Their people buy all kinds of things and in great volume. They need Pap s approval to get rich? No need.

the Warship was likely on auto-operation mode whence the Accident happened.
As noted by a commenter here, the much ado for nothing searches by the Air and Naval Forces goes to show how silly and brainless the Authority and Commanders are.
You think they xan protect us in real war?
These Fuckers will be commanding remotely from thousands, if not tens if thousand kilometres away, sending silly army boys to hell in any fight.
Anyway, the US Navy Boys get to enjoy much Oversea RnR(Rest n Recreation) than most Americans and most of the time leave the Operation of their vessels on auto operations.
US War Tools are of the Highest Sophistication and High Tech, that is why US is considered the Nombur 1 Military Power in the World. BUT, as proven by the Accidents, high tech and sophistication did not save them from their fates of accident and death.
And maybe, it was fated for the Accident of the Mc Cain to show the World that US Warships could be paper-like in armour and quality. Not only their electronixs failed badly, their warships cannot stand much impact.
Sinkies can be liken to US Naval Force; kpkb here, there and everywhere. Take the Coming President Elect as a sample; much cries that PAP's Candidate is not Malay, a requirement mandated by the Government, that she has never ever manage a 500 million dollar company etc, Sinkies will still lan lan go to vote for her despite the GLARING DISQUALIFICATIONS MENTIONED EARLIER.
lt is good that accidents like the Mc Cain happen. For it shows much flaws and weaknesses in many top brass in authority and command.
More so desired whence they show how daft the Masses can be.

ReplyDeleteThe USA of today is just like the PAP today. They are not the same as the USA/PAP of yesterday.
ReplyDeleteOne thing many people overlooked in the McCain incident, the paper hull of the warship. What is it telling, poor quality. What it does not say, corruption at the highest level leading to compromise in the material used to build American warships.
Who is going to buy American warships that could be crumpled after a collision with a commercial ship? What a joke!
All those elites want war so they can sell their commodities and weapons at sky high prices. The bankers also can earn lots of money by financing war and financing the rebuilding. They will always come out with excuse to create war.

ReplyDeleteHillary visited asia did come to sinkieland. She said she was greatly benefited for advises from some old men. The pivot in asia was inclusive of military front and diplomacy with close ties with India where she visited. And in 2015 changi was naval base. China CCTV reported changi navy base was a design to encircle China. China tv reported very much details about Changi. TPP was another front sinkieland engaged in to exclude China in trade bloc.
U are wrong to state sinkieland invited US to protect it. It was not. Through these time, Shangrila meeting was a place used to attack PLA generals.
Global times ran an article about how US was advised by one old man to get around China or encircle it and the issues involving the sea.
Changi was about South China sea. US uses it to fly P8 to monitor China s submarines. Sinkieland was projected as friend of US by Ash Carter flying with Hen to review the fleet.
2017 China sent low ranking official to attend Shangrila, and its regular meeting on sinkieland. This is the indication of down grading state to state relationship. ie less importance to China.
In time of war with China over South China sea, Changi will play an important part at least on logistics. Good luck to living at Changi, an important point on military map.
We Learned To Survive
ReplyDeleteAfter a while we learn the subtle difference
Between shaking hands and binding long-term soul,
We learn that love doesn’t mean dependency
And companionship doesn’t mean security.
We also learn that hugs are just diplomatics,
Unless follow up with concrete mutual benefits;
And gifts and presents do not connote approvals,
Until agreements and promises are inked on papers.
We learn that long-term good relationships
Are built upon deliberate short-term positive measures
Bit by bit, with care, decorum, respect and genuine gestures,
Avoiding at all costs stinking insults as jokes or self pleasures.
Soon we have to accept defeats and deceits
With our heads raise up and eyes wide open
With the dignity of a gracious matured lady,
Not the grief of a spoilt brat cry-baby,
We learn to build our roads today when it's sound
Because tomorrow’s ground may not be around
And the future has a way of running aground;
So, we act while friendships are still abound.
Then we learn that even sunshine burns if you get too much.
So we plow our farms and gardens to guard our own souls.
Instead of waiting for others to bring us free lunch,
We can harvest from our own plants, animals and fowls.
We learn to really endure all kinds of bad weather
No matter - hurricane, tornadoes, hailstone, thunder-storm.
And we know we can survive without crutches from any Super Power,
For we have proved we are really nimble, tardy, hardy and strong.

Have the Americans achieved anything after fighting these wars non stop? Nothing. But actually they have achieved what they set out to do, to destabilise these countries and put them in a state of perpetual warfare, never ending warfare. The Americans did not want to wipe up their enemy forces for one reason, to justify their continued military presence in the countries and the region.
The Empire must have a reason to put their troops in your country. Of course the war industries love that, continue to make money selling more arms and weapons.
