Would Barker allow race to be included in the Constitution?

The Singapore Constitution was written by our pioneering founders of this nation. And one thing they were very clear about, racism must not be entrenched or enshrined in the Constitution. If they thought this was a good thing, they would have them written then. Now every joker is talking about racism in the Constitution as a good thing, that Singaporeans are racist and racism must thus be embedded in the Constitution. Would Barker and his cohort cringe on hearing this? Would they be turning in their graves or jumping out from their graves?

Below are a few paragraphs from the statestimesreview.

‘When a Temasek Polytechnic student questioned Senior Minister Janil Puthucheary about the need to reserve the Presidential election for Malays, the Minister unwittingly shot back a question stating Singaporeans are racist:

“If we are not race blind, why do you believe we will be race blind when it comes to presidency?

If all those disappear, we will not need a racially reserved election. The problem is that they are present. And we are worried that given that they are present, it would not be possible for a minority president to be directly elected.”....

Under dictator Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong’s directive, Singapore’s Constitution was re-written to allow a racist clause to reserve the next Presidential election for only the Malay race.’

Now every unthinking parrot is parroting the same mantra, Singaporeans are racist. Fucking thick up there. If it is the ordinary Singaporeans saying this you can expect them to be hauled up for inciting racism. After 50 years of nation building when most Singaporeans are already colour blind. Look at the intermarriages among the races, if Singaporeans are racist, why would they marry into other races and in increasing numbers?

If Singaporeans are racist, why would there be so many minority MPs and Ministers, many winning elections with big margins by being minorities. Some minority ministers would even helm GRCs to make sure they win the election because of their popularity in spite of their minority status. How come?

Who is talking foolish? Who should one believe?

What do you think? Have we failed as a nation after 50 years of chanting ‘regardless of race, language or religion’?  It is now a badge of honour to be calling Singaporeans racist, to shout racism. Fucking asses! Don’t we believe that we have one of the best inter racial relations in the world? If Singaporeans are racist, then the whole world must be extreme racist. Stop spouting this nonsense to stir racial disharmony and sensitivity. Singaporeans are the most race tolerant people and Singapore is the most hospitable country for foreigners regardless of race, language or religion.

Would the asses stop painting Singaporeans as racist. Who are the Singaporeans that are racist? Please stop this silliness. Singaporeans are the most race blind people in the whole world other than the odd exceptions that are present in any society.

The then minister S Rajaretnam would he rise from his graves & see for himself wat the present Lee Hsien Tau do unto the EP system of Sinkieland. Probably he wouldn't rise as his body is cremeted to ashes already. S Raja would be sad in heaven now to see all the effort that he & his colleagues (EW Barker) did for the past years all gone to waste, it's a matter if time Sinkieland will be destroyed by that spoil Bret of a certain natural a cat

  3. Reserved EP is a bad thing for true integration. We said the pledge all these years and end up back to where we started from.

Why the need to rotate the EP? Was there a survey to seek minority's views? Or some hear say and here we go, reserved EP?

  4. Yaacob is reported in the media today saying we need a Malay President for all races. How could that be when the EP election you can only elect a Malay to be President, or a minority to be President? Does it sound illogical? To me it is queer thinking.

Please lah, Singaporeans being kiasu and kiasi, are race blind only because they scared of trouble if they are not mah.

And this one PAP knows. That's why PAP always threaten Singaporeans with big trouble if they are this or that.

So Singaporeans, being afraid of trouble, will kwai kwai follow what PAP want lor, and not because they believe in PAP to be correct or good.

That's also why 70% voted for PAP even though PAP is screw up, because the 70% very scared of even more trouble if they voted opposition, and which in this case is also quite true lah.

  6. These mamas lived in their own castes and race society.

That's why they still have all these racial prejudices.

Especially for the well to do so called higher castes nehs who wants to retain status quo.

They have not observed that the True Blue Singaporeans are race and colour blind. You see the schools children playing among themselves in buses, in schools chatting and laughing at our own lingo. So spontaneous.

You observed Matland, most of them gather among their own. Due to their unhealthy Bumis policies by their past leaders.

Now, Najib and the Sultan of Johore are more enlightened and colour blind ones who encouraged racial mix.

They were bewildered to see Singaporeans eating, laughing and poking fun at each in groups and in work.

One time in Kelantan as Rep for Singapore boss and employed an Indian storekeeper cum supervisor. He told me, seldom Malaysian chinese would employ them. Unless those really jobs that shun by them. Only you Singaporeans and especially the Chinese employed anyone based on metro crazy.

When I brought him for lunch together with the chinese Malaysians on one table in hawker centre, you can notice the amusement and disbelief that we can talked and eat together by the Bumis.

Normally, the Malay employees prefer to eat on their own.

So now these present duds in leaderships are moving backwards and brought to the fore what has been buried long ago.

Frankly, the Malays in Singapore are not so insisting of what's their rights and privileges. Only the Leaders themselves keep stirring on it.

I feel very comfortable with my ex Malay colleagues and now some friends in the gym.rather than the Anehs. The Malays are easy going and not so demanding compared to even our own kind.

So, don't keep stirring up unnecessary straw men to segrate the society.

  9. Sinkies in general r not so racist. Otherwise Bukit Batok Ah Juan could have won the BE. The problem is the Ah Long himself & his sarong party people. Wat Ah Long said about reserved EP for minority race, would he reserved his PeeAyam seat for minority? ..one day the Sinkieland society become homogeneous & all races become equal portion, then the new PeeAyam might change back to 'regardless of race, language or religion ', but the chances r very slim or never at all..

  11. We should not waste time over this EP preference but to propose to see whether we can merge with our northern friendly neighbour one day so that we can be a minority if we want to be one.
Dun be jealous when you are not born as a minority .It's a gift .
Or one can consider to migrate north to become a minority and enjoy the special privileges that the majority enjoy.

Or simply propose to do away with unnecessary spending on whatever post which you think unnecessary rather than to talk about race.

If he surrounds himself with the crooks, scoundrels, monkeys and nincompoops, then the country is in peril.

Ha ha ha .....? When jokers make jokes, they must be funny? Perhaps peesai colonial master's policy in their own backyard can shed light on such thinking? Will they ever decree their Queen or King must be a black or Asian if both did not have any chance to be the head of state for the past 500 years, less mentioning past 100 years?

If Lou-Fatt-Yeh (Old Emperor) is still around, the Ya Ya Yacoob wouldn't dare say such things. Lou-Fatt-Yeh would have screwed his ass and told him to pack-up to become Ambassador (Embarrass-sad-der) in Timbuktu.

This Unacceptable Caste-Conscious Racist Foreign Ah Neh Pitcha-putusammy wouldn't even see the day light of his future under Lou-Fatt-Yeh, given his obvious Caste-Conscious Racist Inclination.

How can the present Leadership allow this Caste-Conscious Racist to be selected and elected as a Representative of the People?

I think Lou-Fatt-Yeh will rise from his ashes sooner than expected.

  20. Race-based politics & rules is inherited from British colonial times. In the 1800s, the British found that the easiest way to govern the different races is to separate them, negotiate with them separately, and have different rules & concessions for each of the races. This is the age-old divide & conquer strategy. It was first practiced by the British in the Middle East-Egypt/UAE/Oman/Palestine/Jordan/Syria/Iraq/Iran and then in India/Pakistan/Bangladesh/Afghanistan. This was how just a few thousand British troops & govt administrators can rule over 100s of millions of natives.

Just like how a few hundreds of top-level PAPies can rule over millions of Sinkies.

That's why up till today, we still have Race in our NRIC/SAF11B and civil service job application forms. That's why we still have separate race-based help groups like CDAC, Mendaki, Sinda, Eurasian Association, etc.

By right, from 1965 onwards there shouldn't be Race on NRIC or job application forms. Either you're a Sinkie or foreigner. There should be a single govt help welfare dept for all Sinkies, not based on race.

  21. Anon 11.48..You are absolutely right.

This Minority Race President is plotted by LHL for long term hold of power. He knew that in time to come, the Majority getting fed up of his incompetence with their kwa lan culture will vote him and his henchman out.

So first reason, he don't want another OTC in TCB. Further prodding and queries from TCB if elected as PRESIDENT spells dangers for him.

Any wrong or phua kang tow answers by him or his subordinates will lead to their downfall.
You can never cover things forever.

Secondly, he wants to be in the Good Books of the minorities and want their support base.

Wayang that he is a fair and magnanimous man. He knows the influx of the minorities will overrun the Majority in time to come.

With their support base, he got no fears of been voted out by the Majority.

  22. Anonymous 1148am asked whether will PAP lose next GE.

The answer is CAN! There is a fighting chance if the oppositions get together under one party to presents an alternative to PAP.

    No other way!

  23. Anon 12.29

This is one possibility unless we have another LKY with charisma and great influence to unite the Opposition.

Another, when the daft majority feel that they are been.misplaced and in time woke up to vote them with lesser power in.seats as well as authority

These will happen when they are suffocating from lost of jobs, wealth etc.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Virgo49 1244pm, you are correct.

But the majority is basically ksks, unless they see a good alternative to PAP, otherwise there is really no chance.

Too many opposition parties in such a tiny city state.

    Point #1
    -------------
    In the May 2016 by-elections of Murali (Indian, minority race) versus CSJ (Chinese, majority race);
Murali won by a margin of 61.2%
Since Singaporeans voted for Murali .... how can Singaporeans be racists?

    Point #2
    ---------------
Since 1965 Independence, every Prime Minister in Singapore is a Chinese
But Singaporeans do not vote and choose their Prime Minister.
So who has been responsible for choosing a Chinese Prime Minister after every elections?
