Chennai
is hit by the worst flood in a century. Thousands are injured and the death
toll hit 269 and rising. Millions of people have been cut off from basic
services. The army has been put on a war footing. According to Agencies report,
‘Chennai has become a small island. This is unprecedented,’ said Home Minister
Rajnath Singh. A Madrash University professor said, ‘It is
shocking to see how (Chennai) has collapsed in the last 48 hours.’ ‘Experts
said haphazard construction, faulty drainage and build up of rubbish
contributed to the flooding.’
According
to a CNA news reporter in Chennai, the problem is man made. They forgot to work
on the drainage system with all the construction and economic activities in
Chennai. And Modi is blaming on climate change.
Why
would I say Singapore is to be blamed for the
flood inn Chennai? The answer, most of the flood and irrigation/drainage experts are now
in Singapore , working in Singapore . That’s why Singapore has no flood but Chennai
got flood. We have taken all their experts as foreign talents here.
It
is time Singapore returns India the favour, send the
Indian experts working here to India and do something for India . They can come back to
their well paying jobs here when they have helped India and Chennai with their
irrigation/drainage and flood problems. The flood
problem in Singapore is already solved. No
longer a once in 50 years problem. Now with the contribution of the Indian
experts it may be once in 100 years or never again.
Let’s
do something for Chennai first. Hold your fire on building 100 smart cities.
Take care of the flood and drainage problems first.
"They forgot to work on the drainage system with all the construction and economic activities in Chennai."
ReplyDeleteDid another government forgot to;
- build more hospitals,
- buy more trains and buses,
- graduate more doctors and nurses
to go with all the new immigration and population activities in Singapore?

Hahahahahaha.

Rooster is another name for cock (male chicken). Don't talk cock, OK?
PAP FORCES LIFT UPGRADING BY SHAMING RESIDENTS?

HDB flats belong to HDB.
So why are Singaporean HDB lessees asked to co-pay or subsidize HDB's flat upgrading program?
When you lease a car for 3 years, do you have to also co-pay for any car upgrading?
Why didn't HDB have the foresight to forsee an ageing population needing a lift on every floor?
Why didn't HDB build a lift landing on every floor in the first place?
Here's another rooster story...history books will tell you that nations who's never been occupied will take the longest to progress..cos invaders will bring in progress amidst it's mayhem n madness...so there was a quantum leap when white men killed red indians n Mongols decapitated the Chinese... India's never been occupied..old tribal practices still permeates through all strata of their society ..tell me ah..how to progress...build 100 modern cities? Not in our lifetime bro...

ReplyDeletehow does building 100 cities in India benefit Singaporeans?
How does the Suzhou Industrial Park benefit Singaporeans?
Will any civil servants be involved in building 100 new cities in India?
ReplyDeleteWho will be paying the civil servant's salary?
While the Singaporean civil servant is busy building 100 new cities in India, will we be employing an Alien Talent to take over the civil servant's job to build up Singapore?
Has anybody noticed the chaotic traffic conditions on Singapore roads over the last few years?
Is it starting to look like India's road traffic conditions?
India was as good as completely ruled by the British though the Latter did not completely occupied the entire landmass.
ReplyDeleteAnd indeed had the British not set foot on India, india could be still steep in the days of Ramayana and Kamasutra.
The Westerners had done a lot of goods for premieval tribes in Africa and Asia; this shud not be denied.
Anyway, it is mischievous to play words with regard natural disasters. Granted that Indian Talents may have neglected their own motherland in order to live better lives in Sin. On the other hand, Sinkies Talents may or had caused hardships to Stinkies by importing talents from alien lands, such as inadequate infrastructure, loss of space etc. There is flood in Chennai and there will be more to come as gifts from nature. And if more people/workers are imported from Chennai into Sin, Sg may just face the problem of shortage of water and increases in cases of Tuberculosis etc.
There is just too great a difference in the nature of disaster; when nature punishes, it is unavoidable.
WHEN MAN MAKE DISASTER HAPPENS, IT IS BECAUSE THE PEOPLE ASK FOR IT(DISASTER) AND THEREFORE DESERVE THE CONSEQUENCES.
/// ... IT IS BECAUSE THE PEOPLE ASK FOR IT(DISASTER) AND THEREFORE DESERVE THE CONSEQUENCES. ////

So are you saying in a democracy, you get the government you deserve?
Own self fuck own self by voting in the wrong government and the wrong people?
Forgot to highlight that local talents are displaced by imported alien workers, whether they are talent or not.
ReplyDeleteWhen political leaders play out their own citizens and in return got more supports from them(citizens), the daft citizens are as deserving of their own follies.
Stinkies should never mock at anyone facing natural disasters anywhere for if natural or man made disasters strike this tiny dot, others may not have a chance to even pity the victims and you know why it is so.
There we go again, RB is again making mountains out of mole hills. Every time there is a problem somewhere, RB tries hard to pin them on the PAP government. If you think the PAP has attracted all the drainage expert from India to Singapore then you should be thankful that Singapore is flood free. Please try and write logically and not bash here and there and write nonsense. The PAP government is good for Singapore and the 70% mandate in the last GE given to the PAP shows that they are the best for this country. So, RB wise up and be grateful for a government like the PAP.
ReplyDelete@ knee-jerk jerker RB:
ReplyDeleteThis year's El Nino is by far THE LARGEST in magnitude ever recorded.
“Southern India is having a lot of rain as it goes into winter, having come out of the dry monsoon. This is only so during extreme El Niño, so it is a confirmation that the El Niño is huge,” << CSIRO, Australia
>> Hold your fire on building 100 smart cities. Take care of the flood and drainage problems first. <<
Absolute Fucking Nonsense. Just build the cities and be done with it, unlike the cry-baby author of this piece, who frequently attempts to disparage "progress" and national "self-interest".
No amount of planning or digging will EVER prevent floods by a MASSIVE (out of the ordinary) El Nino. Everybody will kena. No one escapes Nature when she's hell-bent on destruction.
Got emergency supplies?
P.S. If we consider historical patterns of behaviour of weather phenomena, extreme El Ninos tend to flip to the "opposite side" and become extreme La Nina the following year.
ReplyDeleteClimate change is suspected to worsen the effects of La Nina.
Here is what Asia can exect next year and possibly 2017 as La Nina cycle can last 2 years.

PAP say they need strong mandate to continue to improve the lives of Singaporeans.
So PAP got their very strong mandate of 70% in GE 2015.
So when the fuck is the PAP government going to start work?
Since GE 2015, all we see are:
- more MRT train break downs
- Hepatitis outbreak at SGH
- potential TB outbreak at NUH
Do you think a strong mandate is the solution when PAP has been having a strong mandate all along over the last 50 years?
How does an even stronger mandate at 70% help Singaporeans or PAP?
Do you think PAP is running out of excuses for incompetence?
Aiyoh, elections already settled and done. Why still kpkb?
ReplyDelete>> Do you think PAP is running out of excuses for incompetence? <<

Asshole.
You sneaked out of IMH again.
ReplyDeletekpkb against the PAP is a form of self reliance.
