I would
like to include adults in the word children as people will ask adults for money
too. I do not want to say anything bad about any religion. But someone gave me
this advice, when people ask you for money, be careful, think. And in
particular, whatever religious groups or cults ask you for money, if there is a
genuine reason say to build a place of worship, fair enough if you can afford
and willing to contribute. But beware when after the place of worship is built
and they are asking for more money to want to built a tower to heaven.
I feel that
our children must be taught to think and to protect themselves from cheats and
cons. I felt compel to write this after reading an article in the TRE and I
would like to quote a few paragraphs of what the author wrote:
‘….they
make you put the money into envelopes, then you put it into pouches...slowly I
began to question – “Why was there is need?” …So the next service,…I didn’t
give an offering…Then my mentor (everyone is assigned one) looked at me when I
just passed the pouch over, asking why didn’t I give an offering. I said I have
no more money left for the week, so can’t give anymore…After service at
fellowship, the cell group leader requested to speak to me. He said it was my
duty to put aside money for God every week, it was to show God my love and
sincerity in worshipping Him….The following week onwards, they monitored if I
gave offerings closely…. Yes, they monitor your tithings….’
Children,
please, God has everything and does not need your money. God is not a greedy
money grabber. God is not love deprived that you need to tell Him you love Him
everyday to assure Him that He is loved by you or He will hate you or loses His
self confidence that no one loves Him. God is not love crazy or love sick. God
is not a conceited asshole that needs you to praise Him everyday. God has
everything and does not need anything, if He is the God Almighty He has
everything and is everything.
And parents
of children, please do not allow your children to be pressurized by the con men
and women to part with the little money they have. Speak to your children,
educate your children. God does not need money. Those who have plenty and want
to give, they can give. No one should be forced to give money to God.
When money
is all the ‘God’ needs, he is not God. Run away as fast as you can from him. Do
not go near him.
PS. For
those who are interested in the article I quoted, you can go to TRE to read the
details. The lesson is applicable to all religions, sects and cults. Obsession
for money is a tell tale sign that things are not right. Don’t be cheated or
deceived. Children must beware of people asking for money.
You cannot be around your children weekly to ensure that they will not be conned.
ReplyDeleteI spoke to some on whether is it compulsory to contribute even if its 2 dollar. They said its not compulsory .
When ask these jokers on why they can contribute hours in their place of prayers helping their spiritual father instead of helping their biological father who struggles continuously day and night , they cannot give me a reason.
Who are we to care how one spent their money.
I rather you remind them to spend their time wisely , spending more time with their love ones .
For me, i rather spend my time hugging my different You Know Who on Sundays and spent my 2 lolla on my toto.Chances of becoming millionaire is possible. Can contribute more to those needy Sinkies if my God of Fortune pick me for the task .Better than money landing up grooming those so call singer or buying themselves oversea properties and cause disgrace to my cuntree.
"But beware when after the place of worship is built and they are asking for more money to want to built a tower to heaven."
ReplyDeleteRB
But there must be good reasons why the people still give lah, and gave a lot some more, despite place of worship is already built.
Just as there are good reasons why voters still vote PAP lah, and 70% of voters some more, despite the opposition and netizens like RB said PAP govt is very screw up.
Remember, there are always good reasons, and if u are not daft, u will know.
// The lesson is applicable to all religions, sects and cults. //
ReplyDeleteIncluding PAPIGSISM?
// But beware when after the place of worship is built and they are asking for more money to want to built a tower to heaven. //
ReplyDeleteWhat if after hugging countless mei mei, some kong cum say he still needs more money cos need built a rocket to fly to the moon and heaven, to hug "嫦娥" and all the "仙女" .....?
// Obsession for money is a tell tale sign that things are not right. Don’t be cheated or deceived. Children must beware of people asking for money //
ReplyDeleteWhat if they ask for more $$$ to buy more "one shot one kill" bery, bery, bery expensive billion $$$$€€€€££££¥¥¥¥$$$$ TOYS?
/// Obsession for money is a tell tale sign that things are not right. Don’t be cheated or deceived. Children must beware of people asking for money. ///
ReplyDeleteWhat about daft adult Sinkies?
Do you think we also need to be careful when people keep asking us to Pay and Pay?
Daft shall be daft whether they are kids or adults.
ReplyDeleteMatilah Singapura said it and will say it till he is no more, that; quote: "You cannot cheat a honest man". This Quote is valid Universally and perpetually with or without religious and gods.
Those that donate for a return of kinds are NOT doing charity, they long for better return and reward. Truism is not their motives and their sincerities are doubtful.
Correction to Truism used in my Above Comment.
ReplyDeleteTruism to be corrected with Altruism.
Apologies many many.

A human?
Or a Papig?
// But someone gave me this advice, when people ask you for money, be careful, think. //
ReplyDeleteHa ha ha
Rb, u should have sent this advice much earlier to Mr Ching Ho.
Then won't lose so many billions le .....
// I feel that our children must be taught to think and to protect themselves from cheats and cons. //
ReplyDeleteBut most of the time they are being "educated" in school. .....
So who are the "cheats" and "cons" doing the damage to innocent children?
How to teach the children to protect themselves? Using what?
// Speak to your children, educate your children //
ReplyDeleteNowadays, who speak to your children most of the time .....?
Who are educating your children most of the time ...... ?
Who are educating those who are educating your children ...... ?
What if those educating your children looks normal on the surface but up there to a certain degree already "kong cum" ...... ?
Then how are the children who are going to be the future generation to succeed their parents in society generally going to handle the future tasks to be passed on to them?
Delving deeper and talking to many JC students, undergraduates and young working adults, often one can't help but wonder what have happened to them and what kind of education have they received generally?
Of course there are the minority better ones.
But generally are the precious resources being holistically utilized or have the oldies and the middle aged parents generation given a blank cheque and led to a screwed up education system without knowing the truths what (ineffective) education their children has received in school and the "A"s that some got in their eventual certificates may account for nothing very substantial on their real (thinking) abilities, be it academic or real world application?
Who were the education ministers after the late DPM GKS stepped down ..... ?
Be it the "fried chicken man" with a dinosaur era spectacle, botak, rooster or ah suay, one probably has no.confidence in any of them after taking a look at the products generally churned out by the system that eats up about 20% of the national budget year in year out?
Knn, wtf is happening ..... ?
No QC?
No random testing of the "finished products " to ensure quality control?
Everybody in the system just get paid with fat pay cheques like clockwork but nobody asking questions?
The children are the hapless and helpless victims in the end?
THere are many false preachers out there. Stay away from them.
