GE 2015/16 issues for the voters to consider – Issue 7 – Would you want to be replaced by a foreigner?

The plight of PMEs is real. There is no record of how many have lost their jobs, how many are under employed and how many have opted to retire completely, unable to find employments anymore.

And how many of the good jobs have been taken over by foreigners while Singaporeans were told to go overseas. There is no need for Singaporeans to go overseas to eke a living when there are 2m foreigners here, happily employed and their dependence enjoying the safe and hospital environment we have built.

Do you want to be replaced by foreigners in your own country?

Think very carefully when you vote.

  1. There is no records of unemployment too.
    They are still in denial.
They tell you is low but many 60-80years old have no employment. Not just the 40-60 brackets.
Is like the poverty line.if it doesn't exist, it doesn't have to answer to anyone or subject to scrutiny.

  3. I think I better replace my PAP MP with an Opposition MP.
Before my job gets taken over by an Alien.
Say NO to PAP's Pro Alien Policy.

  4. This is an even more serious issue for those of us with children. They never asked to be born in this country, to be enslaved by the pathetic 99-years lease pigeon-sized HDB flats which they will have to spent their entire lives paying for, or risk their lives to protect a country where they have become the minorities!

We parents have a duty to handover to our children a country which prizes them and treats them as assets and precious resources. It is crystal clear what we have to do: VTO!!! Be brave and fear no evil! We do this for our children.

  5. New job title:
Previously we have "Minister without Portfolio"
And now we have "Minister Without Constituency"

To a large extent, the points are valid.

Unfortunately those who believe so or recognise so may not be in the majority at this point of time till too late as experienced in many other instances in history for the past few millenniums in many different parts of the world.

Some may recognise the points made but likely going to fail or carry too much inertia to act otherwise.

The result probably is unlikely to be too surprising unless there are significant black swan events precipitating in the next few weeks ......

And even then it depends on the nature. ...... and may not necessarily be advantageous to the opposing camp.

  7. If there are 3,000 nobles and aristocrats earning $1m each, it will mean a budget of $3b just to feed them. And the numbers will keep going up and the $1m will keep going up.

Where to find the money to keep feeding them? You people would have to pay in whatever ways they could think of, your CPF, COE, GST, Housing etc etc plus more foreingers.

The hole is too big to be filled and will get bigger and deeper by the days. The daft sinkies still cannot see why they have to work and work and work and still got not enough and why everything is going up, taxes, fees, cost of living. You are slaves to the elite, live to work to feed the elite whose appetite is insatiable.

  8. For the minority who can see the situation as it is but "helpless" effectively to make a difference, besides enjoying the twilight years with a beachfront double-storey landed property in say the most prosperous city/ island in matland with a huge fraction of retirement fund to spare after paying off the property, other options to "escape lifetime of sinklavery from cradle to grave" is "golden retirement" in ........ guess what ..... possibly Spain.....?

Brand new resort style 95 sq m apartment ( abt 1,000 sq ft ) with swimming pool, gardens etc ..... can be bought for about 70,000 Euros ( abt 100,000 SIN $ ...... ) .......

Of course, eligibility for immigration ...... etc applies ....

SIN City is far way too expensive that even tourists are gradually staying away in the past 3 years and the IRs novelty effect already long worn off.

Arrivals may have fallen by about 3 million annually from its peak 3 years ago and the down trend is likely to take it below the previous peak achieved before the IRs effect kicked in .......

What is your "exit strategy" ....... say after September 2015 ....?

Future "brain drain" may become a "flood" in one direction and the "shit drain" in the opposite direction "worsening" to a "shit tsunami" after some "expected uneventful so called watershed" .......

When one too many are called watershed for the sake of it, it becomes no more than a "forgone legitimation" of a modern very weird " Aristocratic Republic Monarchy" ..... if that term which "probably exists in essence", in any way makes any sense to u ........ ???

    Everything is weird?

Even it's iconic symbol the "Merlion" is a "rojak" of a lion ahead with a mermaid body and tail?

Every is man made, artificial, make belief?

    Who m I?

    我是谁?

    谁是我?

    I m who?

What is a "Merlion" in this real world?

    Is a real?

    What is sinkieland?

A democratic republic? Or a aristocratic monarchy? Or a democratic republic aristocratic monarchy? If that makes any sense to u anymore than an "imaginary" non-existential "half lion half mermaid Merlion"?

    Who m I?

    我是谁?

    谁是我?

    I m who?

  9. They would continue to dump millions into maintenance for the $1b Gardens By The Bay when the Botanic Garden is crowned a World Heritage Site and the cost of maintenance is as good as a dime for a song.

  12. Mr (Red) Bean, just a side-track/ digression, your "beloved all powerful grandmother land" stock mkt started to " lau sai" again yesterday plunging more than 8% and many stocks in trading halt having fell the maximum 10% in a single session.

Today still lau sai-ing and the SHI back to the 7 Jul level or even lower after massive ( state ) interventions in the past 3 weeks.

The question is how much is being used to prop up the market at this level and how much is the commoners ( as usual ) going to bail out the market ( 劫贫济富, robbing the dirt poor to enrich the tycoons ) in the end .....? How much more RMB will be printed .....? ( Already RMB supposedly more than the USD in circulation though the Yankees are about double in economic size. ) In history, what happened when a currency is long over valued? Remember George Soros siege on the UK Sterling Pound in 1996 or the savage attack on the Thai Baht, Rupiah, Korean Won, Malaysian Ringgit during the AFC in 1997?

Fortunately the RMB is not fully liberalised yet but they probably might not be fully insulated. ....

With diminishing option to jump-start the economy other than further Monetary easing via the reduction in the RRR and interest rate, such actions will very likely aggravate the situation by "distorting" the incentive to make money via real work than massive speculation in the casinos oops stock markets.

According to many domestic Chinese economists in touch with the real economies, many SMEs are going through the worst 寒冬 ( winter ) since Deng opened their doors in 1978 ......

How many of their SMEs ( arguably one of the backbones if not the main backbone of the Chinese economy ) survived sustainably in the long term when the authority tries to save a dying patient by further injecting steroid into his body .....?

  13. Dear Mr RB, we are again on the plight of the Singaporean PMETs. If the local PMETs become too expensive to employ then cheaper and more efficient PMETs from overseas will be taken on. This is business. The bottom line is the deciding factor. As mentioned in the papers, many local displaced PMETs have found positions equal to their former employment. Sadly many have not and resort to driving taxi and other lower paying jobs.To compete with the influx of foreign PMETs who are more nimble and better equipped technologically, the PMETs from Singapore must upgrade themselves constantly. In this real world there are no free lunches and in any organisation any excess fat, redundancies or inefficiencies will be carved out. Bottom line is important.

  14. Let me comment on the Shanghai Stock market or stock markets in general. It is a different ball game, with big boys muscling their way to rob the innocent investors. I am in no position to teach or advise the Chinese govt what to do or what can be done. They are the main players and they better know what is happening and how and who are playing their stock markets and messing around with it.

Anyone out there knows what is happening and able to teach the Chinese govt?

Our PMEs are victims of a silly govt that did not know what is happening or knew what is happening but lost control of the country to foreigners when employment for Singaporeans is concerned.

Stop parroting about PMEs being too expensive and lack of skill, some are but these are not the real reasons. Just to give you a hint, India going to allow China's biggest handphone maker to make phones in India, on one key condition, the top management must be Indians. Think about it and relate it to the silly PME problems here.

Our text book politicians are so innocent and thinking that the world is child's play. 1 + 1 = 2

  15. More and more Sinkies are realizing that their critical personal and national Singaporean interests are compromised.
    More and more will VTO.
    Areas:
    1. Education; FT scholarship issue.
    2. HDB Housing; New citizens & PR buying causing unnecessary asset inflation.
    3. Medical; Public hospitals privatized issue.
    4. Jobs; PMET opportunities replaced by FTs esp fake FTs.
    5. Transport; SMRT poor planning, management & maintenance over many years.
    6. Compensation; Lop-sided extreme compensation of leaders with mediocre performance.
    7. Leadership; Wrong focus of leaders, fixing opposition rather than doing their jobs better.
    8. Costs; Overall market pricing philosophy in essential services eg hawker stalls & coffee shops higher and higher costs/rental, higher and higher 1st time HDB buyers entrance price, higher and higher ancillary education costs, higher and higher utilities costs, etc.
    9. Conflict of interests of leaders & friends; in RC, CCC, MP jobs, etc

It has reached VTO point for most.

  16. // Anyone out there knows what is happening and able to teach the Chinese govt? //

Who can teach the Chinese to even manufacture and sell fake eggs?

Who can teach the Chinese to make money from "毒奶粉" ( "poisonous baby milk formula" ) and not even spare a thought for babies, newborns and infants?

Who can teach the Chinese to build condos and collapse before TOP, condos built without "any foundation" practically like kampung house on raised poles and fell whole building intact with the exposed poles at the base .......

No point can teach the Chinese anything. .....

They "invent" everything including "fake audiences" in variety shows, "fake participants in an idol singing contest", "faked fakers in a singing contests to show their shows are genuine" ......

    Obviously not everything is one-sided.

But can't think of many ( good things ) to say about the current generation. But the contributions and greatness of preceding generations like the past many great saints, poets, artists, emperors, scholars, craftsmen, sculptors, physicians, alchemists, chefs, musicians, strategists, warriors, generals, pugilists, beauties, architects, historians, writers, calligraphers, astrologers, astronomers, physicists, inventors ..... etc etc are undeniable and probably unparallelled in human history.

When an economy is built on steroids and exudes unsustainability on an unprecedented scale, nobody can teach them anything except to say that a possible treatment for a drug addict is insufferable cold turkey or eventual collapse ......

Even many PRC Chinese in sinkieland hardly have many good things to say about their own visiting kinds if one care to talk to those who came much earlier ......

Despite the massive unparallelled physical artificial developments, like sinkieland, something innate and far more important such as the soul of a society is missing. .....

One can build 1,000,000 beautiful billion-dollar GBBs or Jewels but when the inner qualities are missing, the ugliness or hideous inner beans cannot be hidden for very long or forever. .....

They stand out like "giant sore thumbs" millions of miles away ......

Like sinkieland, probably if there is a second chance, a much needed reset has to take place eventually, much like the countless historical precedences. ......
