Uniquely Singapore -Billionaires asking govt for help

At first you have poor people asking govt for help to buy food to get buy. Govt was very angry. How much you want? You want to eat in the hawker centre, foodcourt or restaurant.

Then the middle class crying money not enough. Their money all gone to buying affordable govt built flats and needed 30 years to service the loans. And just when they have paid up their loans, they lost their jobs. But wait, they thought things would not be that bad as they had carefully put aside a large chunk of their money in the CPF. The shock came when the govt said, this money cannot touch, must be used to buy medical insurance and life annuities for life long protection and to provide them a few hundred dollars a month for life. Sounds good, but with high inflation, money not enough again. So these millionaires, their flats all worth half a million or more, again got money problem and needed govt to help them.

The latest, multi millionaires and billionaires also asking the govt for help. Because their fortunes are all tied up with the billions of dollars of properties they are holding. Now, after so many decades of making millions and becoming exceptionally wealthy, they are multi millionaires and billionaires not for no reason, they want the govt to help them to sell their properties at good prices, better than affordable prices, not that they cannot sell them by themselves.

Who would be next to need govt’s financial assistance? I heard the next group would be the ministers when they lost their election in the next GE. And if the PAP is no longer in power, where are they going to get paid the same millions to maintain their millionaire lifestyle when the GLCs would not be offering them any chairmanship or directorship appointments as ex ministers? Without such appointments who in their right mind, in the private sector, will be willing to pay them by the millions to maintain their lifestyles?

By then the new govt may be in a dilemma. How to justify to pay them millions to help them to live without affecting their quality of life? Hopefully not necessary as quite a number of them are really billionaires or worth hundreds of millions. For those who are not, would the next minister be asking how much they want or whether they want to eat in the hawker centre, foodcourt or restaurant?

Sin City is the only super rich city where millionaires, half millionaires and billionaires are all asking the govt for financial help. Yes, there is no poor people in Sin City, only half millionaires, millionaires and billionaires.

  1. There is indeed no poor people on this island!

Our common hobby is to accumulate as much money as possible.

So never mind how much you have, money is always not enough!

    Cheers.

  4. According to a report, there were 105,000 high net worth (HNW) individuals in Singapore in 2013.

HNW means having US$1M or more in investible funds, excluding property.

So is it a big deal to be HNW?

  5. PAP knows how many Sinkies are rich, and therefore will sure vote PAP.

Except only in Aljunied and Hougang in a GE, and Punggol East in a BE. And they will only vote for ka ki lang WP.

Hence even if Aung Juan Soon Chee party contest one to one with PAP in a BE will also lose one, let alone in a GE.

U may have a point. Maybe that's why don't talk about others, even with a Hainan Ah Ko calibre under Soon Chee party also lost in GE 2011.

  7. SDP to kick off election campaign in January 2015

I remember they also did something like that in Hong Lim Park some time before 2011. And shortly before nomination day, introduced their star candidate and presidential material Hainan Ah Ko.

Wondering who will be their "star" candidate(s) this time? Any idea? Aung Juan Soon Chee himself? Hahahahaha.

  8. I wonder if PAP got any "star" candidate for GE 2016?
    - so far, all the stars of GE 2011 has turned out to be duds
    - just like the old fart himself
    - GE 2016 ... I wonder if he will "stand" for re-election?

  9. The ENTITLEMENT MENTALITY is very frequently observed in the rich who think that they're so great, they need "special treatment". This is definitely not a new thing.

We live in an age of narcissism, so one would expect the ENTITLEMENT MENTALITY to be egalitarian and prevalent in every class of society.

You might ask "How narcissistic are we?" Ever since the creation of social networks like Twitter and FaceBook, and the invention of the camera phone, a phenomenon know as the "selfie" arose spontaneously amongst the human users. Taking "selfies" is part of the culture now. Everyone has to let the whole fucking world know where they are, how much they're enjoying themselves, even what they are fucking eating!! People are taking pictures of every aspect of their lives from their food (for fuck's sake!) and their gym-toned naked bodies and posting it on the net saying "Hey look at me, how awesome am I? I think I'm so awesome, and so damn fucking SPECIAL the world world needs to know!".

Thus the entitlement mentality is strengthened and concretized into a PERMANENT FIXTURE in our quirky modern culture.

Got selfie?...Got "take pictures of my food"?

    Fucking nuts lah!

PAP no "star" candidate never mind.

As long as PAP can contest 100% seats and ready to be govt, 60% will vote for them and they can win more than 90% seats.

And sama sama for any opposition party too, if they can contest 100% seats. Because due to PAP screwups, 60% will rather prefer opposition, if only they are ready, to be the govt and not PAP.

  11. Oh yes, from PSLE to Degree level must publish the Results and Photos with square hats and the Proud Parents, especially the Mothers who are usually the Ones who uploads the Stuff into the Social Media. They are so very proud though Degrees are much less prestigious and very common.
Selfies and certificate awards on Facebook, Twitter and Other Sites are are glorous to the conventional people. Those with Doctorates, Professor and Mensa are less prone to look for fame. Similarly, those that ventured overseas seldom talk bad about other countries being backward, unhygienic, dangerous and less civilized. Those who had NEVER EVER step into North Korea have no shame to claim how bad the Country(NK) is. Lolx.

M S has stated the Fact that Sinkies are idiots in many respects and he is spot on in his observation.

  12. @420:

    Here's a chilling scenario:

"Proud parents" ('Pride cometh before the fall' -- Proverbs, The Holey Babble) post pics and DATA of their daughters from birth and whilst their growing up to social media.

By the time these kids are in their teens, they become easy prey for creepy internet predators, who by that time have Big Data Mining apps at their disposal: i.e. the creeps will know EVERYTHING about the "proud parents" daughters: where they went to school, where they've holidayed, the names and pictures of their friends and families, what they're studying, their grades..

..fuck me in my six decade-old asshole, man...

People are worried about the govt invading privacy. Fuck that shit, now potential RAPISTS can gather SALIENT INFORMATION--thanks to DUMB PARENTS--to stalk their victims from information freely available on the net because the dumb parents, relatives and their kids PUT THE DATA THERE!!

Other uses for nefarious data mining is to target "suckers" to scam. Thank you social media. And fucking IDIOT parents. (yes you, some of you dumb cunts reading this)

    Got digital footprint?

anyway, here's a selfie from me. Enjoy...and if you must, data mine :-)
