UK going after Internel trolls
‘Internet trolls will face up to two years in jail under tough new laws proposed by Justice Secretary Chris Grayling following a number of high profile cases.
The sentence for internet abuse is presently six months but under the plans Mr Grayling is proposing to take a hard stance and quadruple it…
The Justice Secretary told the Mail on Sunday: "These internet trolls are cowards who are poisoning our national life.
"No-one would permit such venom in person, so there should be no place for it on social media.
"That is why we are determined to quadruple the current six-month sentence."’

Raymond, the resident troll in mysingaporenews, this article is targeted at you. I am collecting hard copies of all your postings here. When the law is passed and also introduced here, you will be hanging on the laundry wire for drying. The law will catch up with trolls like Raymond and he has nothing to protect him.

now the good news
China is preparing to launch a mission next week that will help pave the way for an ambitious lunar sample-return effort.
The upcoming launch of China's next mission is expected to take place Oct. 23 from China's Xichang Satellite Launch Center, and will apparently send an experimental, recoverable probe to lunar orbit and back. The goal is to validate re-entry technology for Chang'e 5, a future robotic mission that will land on the moon, collect samples and return those specimens to Earth.

ReplyDeleteIn my blog I have expressed many times that IBs are welcomed as long as they address the issues, even challenging everything I wrote, objectively. They can even argued with their skewed and unthinking ways, or parroting the official views.
ReplyDeleteI will let the readers judge for themselves what is the truth. I will not ban or censor any posts like some other blogs or authority and treat my readers as daft or children.
For anyone, IB or not, whose intention is to attack me or anyone personally, he will have to face his own consequences. You cannot believe that you can attack people and the victims cannot hit you back.
As for Raymond, we all know what he has posted here and his agenda.
Anyone of you think this is an honourable or respectable thing to do for a man?
I doubt this legislation will pass.
ReplyDeleteBTW, threatening violence or rape is not "trolling" or "bullying". It is pure and simple a threat of violating someone's person which is already illegal in most jurisdictions.
P.S. redbean: Raymond is harmless lah. He just has a different view of the world. Freedom of speech is freedom of speech lah, and you of all people used to champion it.
ReplyDeleteIf you post or comment on a forum, chances are sooner or later you will be "attacked" -- I of all people am no stranger from giving or receiving a royal cyber-fucking. No "real world" consequences lah. No one is "forced" to come here or "forced" to comment.
In my decades of blogging, I have never made it a point to attack anyone unless being attacked. I am even so nice to you when you go deranged and I only sayang you.
