Saving Roy

The tag of heckling Special Needs Children has been hung on the necks of Roy and Hui Hui. And it is not only some jokers saying it. The main media are saying it, the MPs and Ministers are saying it. So far no one from the establishment is saying other wise. So, would this tag be burnt on the skins of Roy and Hui Hui?

The social media have risen in protest to tell another story. Ok, I must say that the only person who was directly involved in this ‘heckling’ thing did not say it. There were many eyewitnesses from the social media, the uncles and aunties. There were photos and video clips to show exactly what had happened. And the police are investigating the incident like a crime had taken place. Would it be enough or would a Commission of Inquiry be conducted on this ‘heckling’ incident? Heckling Special Needs Children is now a very, very serious thing in this island, more serious than gum chewing and graffiti I think.

Why is this so? Compare to the Little India Riot, this is definitely a more dangerous incident. Firstly, the rioters in Little India were very nice people, and very happy. In this case, the uncles and aunties were very angry people for they were fighting for their CPF money, their life time savings that they believed must be returned to them. They have a grudge, a grouse to settle. So there was a valid reason to he angry. And Roy and Hui Hui were very, very fierce. Roy was seen shouting until his veins were protruding from his neck and his facial expression was that of an angry young man. Hui Hui was worse. She was challenging and bullying the NPark Director and the policemen not in uniform. How not to fear her? And their voices were deafening, very much louder than those rioters in Little India, with the help of loudspeakers of course. The only thing they did not do was burning police vehicles.

But that is nothing compares to heckling children, and not only ordinary children but Special Needs Children. If this fact is proven, it is going to be ugly. No one is accusing them of heckling the minister. Either this is not true or not important enough.

So, why Saving Roy but not Saving Hui Hui as well? You see, all the uncles and aunties were above 55. So they would be spared the cane even if the crime is ‘caneable’. As for Hui Hui, she is lucky that as a female she is not ‘caneable’. As for Roy, ‘chiat lat’ man. He is a man, and if this serious crime warrants caning, his ‘pantat’ sure ‘pitcha’, open flower.

Now you see why my title is Saving Roy? And if a COI is convened, we have two freshly cooked and very experienced ex judge and ex Police Commissioner with just the right skill sets for this job. Perhaps they may think the Police could have acted earlier, and more decisive to prevent this heckling incident from happening. Perhaps they could tell the NPark that they should have foreseen this possibility and should not have approved the two events to be held at the same place and same time. Perhaps they could tell the parents that they should not have brought their children to a protest site. There are a lot of perhaps that a COI could talk about.

What are the facts so far? The most authoritative person in the centre of this fracas said the protesters were there for him. Would this be enough to say that they were not after the children, to disrupt or heckle the children? The protesters were at least 20m or 30m from the children, shouting ‘Return Our CPF’ and ‘Vote them Out’. The distance was reasonably far away from the children though the sound could reach them because of the loudspeakers. But the two slogans shouted had nothing to do with the children. And from all their actions, were they clear enough that they were not there to heckle the children?

Special Needs Children are extra sensitive. Some have disputed this claim. Autistic children are highly sensitive and intimidated by the presence of crowds. Are those children up on stage autistic children or Special Needs Children that are highly sensitive to the crowd and noise?

One of the childen performing on stage missed a bit. So it must be due to the ‘heckling’ and nothing else? Did they stumble on the beat for some other reasons? Remember, they are Special Needs Children. And another Special Needs Children needed comforting by the Minister. Did the child say he/she was frightened or heckled by the protesters?

Would the evidence from video clips and eye witnesses be enough to save Roy and Hui Hui for this extraordinary and exceptionally hideous crime against the Special Needs Children, called heckling? Would this tag be branded on them for life, as Special Needs Children Hecklers?

  1. sure, RB, Roy and gf needed to be saved from themselves! first, they got no credible issues to talk about. Their cpf case has been shot to pieces. maybe, they shd quiet down, get married, have some babies, and come back again to talk about costs of having and bringing up babies and children, domestic maids issues, education elitism ... etc.

  3. Roy's chants of 'Return Our CPF" is heckling.

PAPigs chants of "We Love Our CPF" is not heckling.
And does not upset the children.

The Special Needs Children can tell the difference meh?
Everybody in PAP suddenly become experts on Special Needs Children meh?

Yew want to help Special Needs Children?
Return the CPF money back to their parents.
The patents will need their CPF money because maybe the PAP government is not doing enough?
Working very hard to keep the Singapore Reserve safe from the Special Needs Children & their parents.

  4. Have no choice but to agree with Anon 9:14. There is no issues in Sin. That is why the PM is telling the Sinkies to worry about world events. Everyone is happy and all issues are non issues. Only netizens are kpkbing and building mountains out of mole hills.

    Better to worry about ISIS.

    Hahahahahahaha.

RB, u have completely missed the point.

Roy is already really "jialat" due to a lawsuit against him by the most powerful man in Sinkieland.

So why would PAP want to flog a dead horse by hitting his "pantat" some more? Got use or not, u tell me lah?

Why not try imposing 2,000 year old ancient laws?

It is the same logic. What is outdated is outdated!

  11. Maybe, I say MAYBE the Ones who shouted that they love their CPF to vie against those shouting Return our CPF have startled and frightened the children beside them.
Unless the kids were prewarned, otherwise some sudden shoutings would have got the kids frightened for they were not prepared. By such a deduction, those that shouted Return my CPF have no liability to answer for the Frights of the Children. The Return my CPF started from afar and would have been faintly heard from the Beginning. By the Time Roy Ngerng and Han Hui Hui reached the Children, they(kids) would have been able to shout the Slogan themselves.
Roy was shown on tv to have shaked hand with Teo Ser Luck and they appeared liked good old friends. The atmosphere was one with much camaraderies and celebrations. Where got heckling and animosity??

Only Idiots fearing and imagining HLP is haunted are saying nonsense.

Singaporeans are by and large sensible folks.

  17. In all his eagerness to defend Roy, RB had once again ignored one major point that I have pointed out before.

If it is only the PAP ministers and mainstream media criticizing Roy, there is no problem. Problem is the number of netizens and online activists that have joined in. Maybe RB wants to claim that The Online Citizen, Ariffin Sha, Nicole Seah, Yee Jen Joong and Ravi Philemon are now PAP IBs because they also criticized Roy on this one thing.

But of course, I mentioned this before and bloggers like RB will not admit it. Just as PAP has their own groupthink, there exists a group of opposition supporters out there who also have their groupthink. Out of 10 things, they cannot even find the independent voice to disagree on 1 of the 10. Everything must echo according to what they like to hear, if not, you must be a PAP mole in disguise?

I think if RB will venture out of his own blog, and those few sites like TRE/TRS, he might realise the online scene in Singapore is much larger than he thinks and it is not taking very kindly to Roy right now. He might then reflect on whether this is the work of the main media, or it is that Singapore netizens really have their own thinking and voice, and they have voiced out AGAINST Roy, this one time.

Why are you here everyday and let people scold you and called you names?

    ReplyDelete
  20. @ Anon 2:04 (both of you)

Well, what does it matter if people call me names online? They don't know me and I don't know them. I state my views and get out. People are free to comment.

And seriously whats the big deal about being called an IB? Most people from the usual clique think its a damn big deal that they gang up to call people IB whenever someone makes a point that falls even a bit out of their narrow minded mindset. If that is the best they can do/argue, haha, good luck to whatever they are trying to achieve. As I also mentioned before, if there really are so many IB out there, PAP already won liao.

For me, I trust that as people are getting more critical thinking, they know how to criticize PAP's policies, but they will also know how to voice up when they see things from the opposition (whether party or activist) they do not like. It works both ways. Give Singaporeans more credit for their ability to think, not just when it favours you.

    Thats all for now. Bye.

  23. RB aka Chua Chin Leng is correct. Roy and HHH are in deep shit. To heckle the special needs children in the presence of a Junior Minister is gone case. The Minister's words will certainly be taken very seriously. On top of that HHH was heard loudly calling out Teo Ser Luck to return her CPF!
How could she made such ridiculous demand. Every one knows or ought o know that Minister Teo did no such thing. And every one knows or ought to know that HHH does not have much CPF any way.As she has not been working for long.
From the video of the event, just look at TSL, so cool and collected. Smiling all the way and even offered to shake hands with those who mocked him.In the face of adversity, he was so composed and not a feather ruffled.Surely a minister material and will be promoted to full minister come next election.
Of course some cynic said TSL knew the script and just acted the role.
As for Roy and HHH, what would happen to them?
They will ge marry and produce many special needs children, some people said.

As for IBs, let me just add a couple of points here. The low level IBs, not much thinking type, will just come here and attack bloggers personally, just that. Head quite kosong type.

The thinking type of IBs, will engage in the discussion with their points of views and ideas to challenge the prevailing ideas. This type of IBs are respectable and fair. I don't think anyone will attack them as they would not get personal.

And there are the neutrals that would argue for or against a view, but they would not attack anyone personally or name calling.

  37. Hi Everyone, Please do not try to spam my blog the way you are doing. Unless you are those special operators that have special resources and worked on computers, own service providers and IPs that are untraceable, if you are those ordinary IBs, I guarantee you that you can be traced with a snap of the finger.

I am going to leave these spammings here as proof/record and for tracing purposes. There are many sources that I can go to to do the tracing.

This is not funny and I am warning you. I hope you are friendly and just got carried away. If not, please stop or you will face the consequences.

  38. Is it any worst than what happened at HLP? Or far from it?

    What is heckling?

    What is not?

    What is the definition?

Should somebody come out with the definition of heckling and all the oso cannot list?

One said heckling, one said not heckling?

One said yes, one said just satire, so how?

Rb writes provocative stuff to stimulate discussions and debates.

And then somebody writes some satire stuff or poems or literature.

    Oso cannot?

Better write and set the parameters clearly then and cast in stone!

This world would be chaotic and anarchic if there are double standard, triple standard, countless standard or no standardisation.

Any regulations need a set of standardisation, tio bor?

So can somebody clarify what is more serious?

What happened in little india or in hlp or some satire writing or provocative writing in the internet? Anybody was defamed?

If there are no clearly stated no clearly defined wordings, then is it everything going to be arbitrary and subjected to suka suka interpretations or accusations?

    Who writes the law?

If there is no rule of law or clear writings, then suka suka some can some cannot?

Someone better clarify what's satire, what's not, what's provocative and can, what's provocative but oso cannot, who can have multiple standard and who everything oso salah.

All the above 3 examples posted in great numbers are unacceptable as they irritate other readers.

Have fun but don't get carried away to deface the blog.

    Thank you

  40. So can the garment tell protesters in hlp can only shout 3 or 4 times but not more than that cos other park users or passersby get irritated?

Anyway if garment sent officers to warn protesters cannot shout multiple times like 10, 20 or 30 in no uncertain terms and language, how are the protesters to make of it?

Anyway if shouting 30 times is to amplify the message, why should writing the same message 30 times be seen as intention to deface?

In Chinese traditional school, students are asked by teachers to write the same idiom 30 to 100 times. So does it mean the teachers intentionally made the students deface the exercise books or irritate the students themselves to no end or spam their own exercise books?

Who decide or arbitrarily decide what is what?

Was it necessary for the strong language to equally get your point across? Or that were some instructions?

Is there any fault of expression to occasionally have such lines repeated multiple times to amplify the msg?

  43. Thank you, Redbean, for your continuing effort in getting to the truth of this incident. We are dependent on you and other bloggers to show us the photos and videos.

Singaporeans need a lesson in English Language.

Was Roy heckling Special Needs Children?

How can Roy heckle Special Needs Children if he did not know Special Needs Children were performing on stage?

Whatever noises were made, how can anyone of sound mind conclude that the noises were directed at Special Needs Children? The only explanation I can see is that there are a lot of Singaporeans that are not of sound mind.
