Who is telling the truth?

Just a Sunday poser. Who is telling the truth and who is telling the lies? Or who is telling more lies than the truth?

Hsien Loong said in his NDR that the internet and social media are dangerous as they are spreading untruths or disinformation. This message has been circulating in the social media and everyone is talking about it. So, is the internet spreading disinformation? What about the MSM?

Which of the two, internet or MSM is more reliable?

  2. Red bean, I thought the answer is obvious. U need to ask meh? Those reading your blog and those reading the ST would have different answer lar or broadly 60% think ST telling the truth and 40% think otherwise.

  5. What really matters is the opinion of the 60% about the PAP and opposition during election time.

No wonder Goh Meng Seng (GMS aka Madcow) dare to say that! See below link:

Actually whether opinions really matters is depending on who say it. Tio bo, u tell me lah?

  7. In truth, there are lies. Selective reporting of the truth is, in itself, a lie.

In lies, there are also truths. 'Mee siam mai hum' is also
a lie because 'hum' is not an ingredient of 'mee siam'. But it reveals the truth that the person who said that is out of touch with the ground and probably never eaten 'mee siam' because of his high position.

The only difference between truth and lie is to know for what purpose they are going to serve.

Internet is dangerous and spending billions on military hardware are separate matters.

Please don't get confused and mix the two matters.

  10. PAP govt may be no good but 60% still want to vote for them are separate matters.

  11. MSM mostly propaganda supporting PAP views. Internet - there are both good and skew articles. But to get balance analysis - have to read the internet. As we all know, PAP views are at best half truth.

  12. If living costs in China deters couples from having more children, how much more important is this factor in relation to Singapore?

They never accept this as the main reason, always pointing to similarities in Japan and other Western countries. And don't talk about the stop at two policy years ago, because they refuse to think that this has any effect on birth rates today.

They can campaign to high heaven about boosting the birth rate, but if they refuse to know the real reasons, such campaigns are a waste time and money.

The PAP's doctrine over the decades have been - know the mistake, correct it, but never admit the mistake.
